David Cox but the wheel means movement, and movement means going somewhere, and going somewhere means leaving your home, and leaving your home means leaving safety, and leaving safety means going into an awkward situation, and going into an awkward situation means meeting people, and meeting people means having to converse, and having to converse means having to talk and listen, and having to talk and listen means to use mental and physical strength, and having to use mental and physical strength means work, and work means stress, and stress means insecurity, and insecurity means a mental breakdown, and a mental breakdown means embarrassment, and embarrassment means failure, and failure is bad. So... in conclusion, the wheel is bad. :)
Shy? not necessarily , we just hate small talk and talking about stuff that don't really interest us, Talk to us about something we are interested in, we won''t be able shut up.
I don't feel like liking it I don't wanna ruin that 333. I am sure someone else will do it but I am not sure whether I should do it or not. I guess I won't. ..... - Me overthinking over a fuckin comment like number. Yes I hate myself.
Rhonee MC OMG! SO RELATABLE! Actually...it’s sad how relatable that is....basically this happens... Me: *wakes up* Mind: you forgot to do this! Me: oh god... Mind: and you still have to do that! Me: nooo...! Mind: oh and don’t be late for that! Me: stoooop...! Mind: haha! Good luck getting back to sleep now! Me: I need to sleep, I need to go to sleep, I need to go to sleep! Mind: also, you say people are your friend, but, do they even LIKE you? Me: and that doesn’t help the matter that I’m insecure! Send help...!
Introverts are: >Not shy >Not stuck up >Not stupid >Not loners >Not "have nothing to say" >Not social outcasts >Not need/want no friends >Not hate social events Introverts just feel drained after extended socialising and just need to recharge by being alone. Inversely, an extrovert feels drained by extended being alone and recharges by socialising with friends. Introverts tend to struggle with small talk, but are talkative on subjects the feel passionate about. We don't feel we are better than others, we don't think we don't need/want friends, we are not social outcasts, the definition of an introvert is needs to have some alone time for themselves.
Thank you. I have always tried to explain this to my overly extroverted friends, but they are always just like 'no you're not an introvert, you talk too much!'
the biggest problem introverts have is that if we are with are best 2,3 mates we can talk to them easily and even if someone else u dont know comes u can talk to them but if ur best mates are not there than u become nervous and dont know what to talk about to anyone and then it becomes awkward and boring
Being an introvert doesn't automatically mean that they're shy, it just means that they can't socialize for as long as extroverts without getting drained. Most introverts are actually very outgoing and all around great people, but they just prefer to be alone whenever they're feeling drained.
as an introvert I like to just observe everything other people do and how they do it, their facial expressions the things they talk about...how they interact with each other...it makes me smarter...but it also makes me insecure because I'm not like them...I wish I was more outgoing and fun but it's just not me, my true personality is a calm one...I like to stay home and watch UA-cam videos and listen to music, read about things that interest me...my sense of humor is more of a forced one...I try to be funny when I'm really not naturally funny, I'm just naturally serious. I laugh at certain things not all the trendy things people are laughing about. I focus on the small things...I conserve energy to waste it on myself or with my significant other...and then I just wanna go home and have alone time with her and lay in bed and sleep...u can call me boring but I can call u unnecessary. extroverts are funny sometimes but most of the time the things they say and do are unnecessary wastes of energy.
Alex Medina words of a true introvert. I've been told that I'm quiet, especially at work and around people that don't really know me. I also don't like being in a group setting and force myself to talk so I don't look too awkward. I'm intellectual about many interesting things I read, and people are surprised to find out the things I know. Only certain people get to see sides me that I feel comfortable to express. Even then, I still love being alone :)
-Having a crisis about whether or not to send this to my extrovert friends so they realize I don’t hate them but at the same time don’t want to end up actually talking to them-
SuperJuvent. I know what your saying. I'm sure they don't always talk about nothing. but I don't like small talk. I just get right to the point and people feel threatened by this. Small talk is boring and fake
I can answer a phone call from my mom and sister no problem terrified when calling myself once they answer I'm fine my dad better now then before can barely call my best friend cause I'm afraid it would someone else in the house so we just talk through messager and texting I can call one bus company that takes me to work and back but cant talk to a cab company they send.....
I keep my phone on silent as well. To the point I pretty much forgot what my ringtone is. And when I have to turn my phone's volume up, the ringtone surprises me. And it's really grating on my nerves as well. Can't stand it. Love the silent mode of phones. Glad they thought of that.
"shy" is a horrible and false stereotype that results from misunderstanding. Is not that introverted people are shy, it's that they genuinely don't want to volunteer/talk/stand up/be the center of attention. Some are shy, but so are some extroverts.
I'm an introvert and I don't like it... I never find a topic to talk about when I'm with someone but I want to find a topic so badly because if I don't then I'm gonna be 'shy' and 'quiet' in the other person's eyes. Anyone else has this problem?
I think you should not force yourself to say something if you don't feel like saying it. if u do you are acting unnatural and by acting unnatural makes it even more awkward and worse its better to say something or do something thats comes naturally and not be all in your head thinking what should I say what should I talk about.
I prefer being silent and not having to talk. I'm more of a listener, but sometimes when I want to rejoin the conversation it gets really awkward because myfriends thought I wasn't listening and then it seems like I'm spying on them or something.
Ikr, at school i'm that "quiet and shy" kid, but my class is so noisy and i hate it, plus i'm that third wheel person so when the teachers say get a partner i literally wait for someone who don't get a partner
In my school i dont have friends in my own class quz they are all extroverts and dont like the introverted me and i found finally some good fruends but they are in an other class and the teachers dont care so i have to live with that for another 3 years🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
lol I wish I can only do that online in comments because I have the time to think about what to say. In real life my mind just goes completely blank. I'm a writer, not a speaker
Lol I'll be with my friends and they'll have a conversation and I'll be sitting and listening to it, occasionally saying something, but mostly sitting there. They always feel bad and say their trying to be inclusive, and they think it's their fault. I'm just like, guys, it's fine. I don't have anything to say, I like listening to you quietly. I'm scrolling through the comments and before now I didn't know how relatable this was for people XD
CloneSimone oh man my friend always bugs me bc I “never talk at lunch anymore” and ok yeah I get where she’s coming from but if the conversation isn’t really something that I can/want to talk about then I’m not gonna join in. I’d rather read my book than just smile and nod, and just sitting there doing nothing is just so insanely awkward. Ack.
CloneSimone: When I talk I tend to speak loudly since I don't talk much and I don't know how to speak when I do. When I speak to girls, I tens to just listen and occasionly say an okay, or cool. But, boys, no way. I'll people watch both. It's better than just talking to them. I know things I'm not supposed to for listening into conversations...
My relatives find it weird when I visit. My cousin and me are introverts so we'd both just sit next to each other and read and play video games while my aunt and uncle don't understand and are always: "C'mon you drove some hundreds of kilometers to visit us how about actually talking to each other and ask each other how you have been and what has happened in your life since last time you visited."
They shouldn't have bothered to respond to your text. Somethings are easier to discuss over the phone as oppose to text, and although there's nothing wrong with being an introvert, you should at least be able to handle a phone call or you need some professional help. Also hanging up on people is rude.
i am an introvert, OVERTHINKING is one of my very serious social problems, just meet new person and i we greeting and silent came.... and next day, like we never met before and in my head i always think "did i look wierd, did i annoying them, did i doesn't fit with them, did i look funny?, did they laugh at me when i am not around?". i feel like i really need to make a really small step one by one instead of like saying "HEY GUYS, CAN I JOIN YOU??" i will prefer silent even tho i already greeting with them before. but when i am drunk/ hit the alcohol everything change, i'll greet, dance, partying with everyone on the club. i once greet like 20 people at one night, partying and eat together and when i am sober, i start being alone again.
I don't actually like it when people cancel their plans with me because I always prepare myself to go, so I'm like: oh, really? You can't go after I've gathered ALL of my mental strengh to actually go and overcome my instinct to avoid doing something that'll suck my soul? Oh, great, I'm not mad at all, how do you like your silent treatment; one word answers or no emoji? :)
omggggg same I hate when I organise myself to go somewhere and you tell me plans are cancelled. I mean, I know in life there's disappointment but C'MON!!!!
That's actually true. My friends be like "Why aren't you talk something, anything" and I just " I don't have anything to say. Why would I talk? I'm fine just listening to you" -__-
Yep people think I’m mysterious too and sometimes, just for my own fun, I pretend to be a secretive superhero that’s working for a spy agency and is undercover. Just to kind of freak people out, and also it’s funny to see there reactions ;p
I don't have to worry about calls since I have an iPad mini instead of a phone, but seriously, I have to deal with FaceTime, where not only does the person hear my voice but they also see my face, which I absolutely hate.
I've lived a life of that attitude. Fact is it is hard to find people that can see the big picture. I love to sit back and watch the bs. I hold my comments. And chuckel to myself. I'm INFJ. hardcore.
When you force an introvert into thinking that they have to make small talk, then things tend to end up badly. Silence is nice and gives you time to think, but when others convince you that you need to talk, conversation can become awkward and stilted. It seems like whenever I talk now all I do is complain about something the other person and I have in common because I have no idea what else to say.
*aggressive argument between all my friends* Me: *Introverted so nothing happens to me but I know exactly what's going on* *grabs popcorn and watches from a security camera because I'm too introverted*
The phone thing is really fucked up for introverts . You see phone ringing but don't pick . you wait until the phone stops ringing & you thing of all the scenarios what could go wrong . you have all these questions in your head like why is she/he calling me . what she/he want? what am i gonna reply if they ask something i don't know. Then you finally calling them back and make excuses why you didn't pick up the call and feeling more guilty. and saying to yourself why are you like that!😥
spurthy patil now I put my phone on silent mode ( not on vibration) and everytime phone rings I take a deep breath fist calm myself down than I pick up the call. 😌
karan kapoor I can relate, especially on phone calls like did I do something wrong or what, either way we just ignore and think of an excuse for a short conversation that kinda looks like a meaningless awkward situation 😫
Defensive Once Alert it's all in the head . I have changed myself. You can do one thing to overcome this meditate . Don't think too much . Keep your mind all time clear and focused. Introverts tend to create scenario in there head of worst possible outcome. Overcome this by being always positive no matter in all scenarios.
Don't you just love it when that one extremely annoying person says out loud to everyone, " Wow, you're quiet." Like, I don't understand what the point of saying that is. If I'm quiet, I probably wanna be alone, and putting me at the center of attention is the complete opposite of what I want. It just creates an extremely awkward moment that no one wants to be a part of.
I'm an introvert. no doubt about it. but my friend is 100% and extrovert so she talks when I don't. it's gotten to the point where she can talk for the both of us around people and know what I'm thinking so I don't have to do anything with people I don't now
Not for me, I’ve tried talking, no one just can’t seem to hear me so I just end up getting ignored more than half the time. So now I’ve learned, just don’t talk at all and just listen.
In the beginning I talk, when I first meet people. I make the effort to try. But then that slowly fizzles out and I start to stay quiet, so then when I do decide to talk again, this same thing happens. I feel like they are annoyed with me for coming into the conversation, so I stop talking, even though I still do want to talk (one of those rare times where I actually want to join the conversation). Then I start thinking... I thought they liked me? Maybe they liked me because they thought I was an extrovert in the beginning, but learned who I really am and don't have time for me anymore? Maybe they just don't want me to talk, they prefer me standing here not giving opinions or anything? Maybe they are mad at me for not talking previously? Maybe they are just tolerating me and don't want to hurt my feelings by saying they don't really like me? And on and on and on. That's what I'm usually thinking later when I'm overanalysing the situation.
If I don't talk to their conversation, they always say's that "Come on, Talk anything!" then I would say, "Am,,,, Yeah,,, It's fine,, I'm having fun listening with you guys"....,,, And this happens aaaaaaaaa lot,,,,,, I don't now what they're thinking about me , but please,, I hope they are seeing the pattern that I only talk few words and love to spend my thoughts alone by staying beside them,,, Cause it's more fun for me..... Staying alone is awesome but,, I also love to read books, listen music while seeing their presence even though I don't even talk a single word to them....,.,
I understand that so well! I am an indian and here, your entire neighbourhood, state , country absolutely everyone is an extrovert and if you are by any chance not one of them, they are gonna put their whole days work in the bin to make you one! They are almost always like " Just speak, anything absolutely anything, that'd help you *cure* " Yeah! CURE! They think being an introvert is *WRONG!* Uh-huh, *WRONG* that is!
Ah same. And there's time which make them make the zone for me so i didn't know about something between them, i knew they feel awkward, like i can conclude that i'm not their close friend~ now idk even there's people called me as their best friend, but i feel awkward cuz why they like me to be like that, cuz i keep lost in thought why can i have friends or yeah, i'm just throwing people around me to be far away from me. Lol. Weird. I think my case not introvert case but just unsocial lazy case ._.
indana zulfa sari i have tried that they just laugh and start all over again.......... they're hopeless and so are we...........they'll never change nor will we........... haaaaaaaa...........
How is it painful? You talk to them through phone, it ain't even real life or talk in person. Doesn't mean you're an introvert it would be painful. Maybe you don't like calling? idk? prefer engineering or gaming? I could do tech support, but you get minimum wage so little :(. Can you elaborate more please?
Well, more accurately, I've been an introvert my whole life, but in recent months, I've become shy and increasingly more withdrawn and have developed social anxiety. Talking over the phone stresses me out, but last month, I made the foolish desicion to start taking calls at a call center only because I haven't worked in a while and needed a decent paying job that didn't require too many previous job experience requirements. This week, I just got out of training, and the combination of the anxiety and taking calls is eating me alive now that I'm on the call floor. What's even worse is that I suffer from high-functioning autism, which makes it somewhat difficult for me to speak. It's more than just being an introvert as to why I don't like my job; I'm not confident in my speaking abilities, I don't like people, and I'm fearful. I never used to be like this, so I blame myself for this. My job requires me to empathize with the customers, but giving empathy is naturally difficult for me because of my autism. I know I won't work there for much longer because it's a job that doesn't suit me. I'll be happy once I get my computer science degree this winter and become a software developer.
True. I understand. Software developer requires coding, its hard for me :(. I think if you want to work on phone calling, you just need practice or help. Switching jobs is fine too.
If it helps, I found your response here to be fluent, well-written, and descriptive and relatable(though I'm not autistic). I'm sorry that your job causes you stress but as you have fortunately said you get your degree soon. When I was a teen I used to dislike telephoning until I joined a program which made me call up to a dozen people per week for reporting/administrative reasons and I worked through it pretty quickly; hopefully that's similar for you. All the best JT
I'm so happy to have a friend who occasionally likes silence, so sometimes we just sit next to each other and only talk because we want to, not because we feel we have to. "Hey can we just take a few moments of peace and quiet and just enjoy this moment of being in each other's company without feeling the burden of actually saying any words." sums it up quite nicely.
I only feel comfortable in silence sitting w/ certain ppl. Yeah, for me, I'm pretty sure it just depends on the individual person. I know this dude who's really quiet. & I'm that female... That sounds loony saying sh like, "I just know... I just sense it." Bc no really, I can tho. Even if my back is turned to you, we just hafta be in the same room. I can still feel the eye balls if they're looking, & it feels like you're gonna burn a hole through me bc you're like shooting lazer beams out the eyes, w/ how strong you're staring. You can stare me straight in the eyes, acting super attentive, just to read me, & I'll still know. So it's not that I get nervous around ppl bc I have some crush on them or anything. it's just more of a wtf r u observing my every move for? This doesn't make you bright. I'm completely aware that you're trying to read my "uncommunicative ways" that when I do communicate, it's a little shaky. Nerves, stuttering, or I'll just start over talking. Simply bc I think the other person is that odd to me. Like stop being a weirdo!
That wireless vs. wired controller was the best analogy I've ever seen for extroverts and introverts! (That charging station is a very comfortable place to be.)
I hate it when my family has people over ;__; I want to be around people but I don't want to talk and then my parents get angry at me and say its rude not to talk to guests but I don't know what to say - or I overthink what I want to say and end up not saying it. i dont think my parents realise introversion is a thing :/
Daenni That's exactly what happens to me everytime we have guests that are actually my parents' friends..It's just exactly what I feel and thanks God I'm not the only one!
Daenni you must say what comes to your mind first, I can understand your feelings, I just want to say you make the first step and you will feel the difference
I am the shyest person to have ever roamed this planet... Whenever I'm not talking (which is all the time) people are like "are you okay? Why are you so quiet??!?" and I'm just sitting there like: "wtf do I say? Oh jeez, I gotta be funny, think of something funny to say!".. *says what I think is funny* .... *person does not laugh* .. *Oh sh!t balls! Code red, retreat, retreat!* "Sorry, I gotta go..."
Andrej Nikolov have you already tried to know the weird Kids? Maybe they are cool, you just need to give a chance and open your eyes. This is what the rest of the world should do about us introverts.
Oh my, I hate having partners unless it's somebody I'm close to, but if it's like a random person I just correct the mistakes and double check all the work that we've done.
Yeah then you'll end up doing all the work. Which I hate but kindda okay since I will not exert too much effort just to talk to my groupmates or the one being paired to me.
I always warn people that I won't be talking in chats much, especially a chat full of strangers, but when I DO talk... Me: You sound nice, but maybe practice a bit more with (whatever) ^^; *"They don't think I'm weird, right? Or too demanding? Did I seem to aggressive? I put an emoji there so it wouldn't make me look like a douche. Wait, maybe they're just cringing at it. Do people even use emojis nowadays? They're responding!! Oh no... I knew I shouldn't have said that... Now they're gonna look at me like a bitch..."* Them: Oh, thanks! I've been practicing a lot lately, but your advice is very helpful! Thank you! :D *"We. Are. FRIENDS."*
This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. I send a message on a group chat and instantly regret it and then start thinking "What will these guys think about me?" And can't even unsend it because some people have already read it
This is gonna sound so shitty but are introverts over thinkers? Maybe not always intellectually (sometimes intellectually) but overthinking insecurities? That they did something wrong? Always questioning themselves? Maybe are more thoughtful too, not as careless? I'm sure I've read several things on this before but I don't always remember bc I think im just half way there. Uh, I guess introverts can be psychos & mental illnesses too. .. 🤔 I prob do got a little psycho in me (not bc I'm missing something up there. Maybe it is history. Maybe it is genes.) & random outbursts of bluntness. Well, maybe not always random... But I think I was more insecure... when younger. Idkw bc well, I don't want to seem arrogant, see?... But as of aged, I have been more able to look more Outwardly ...than Inwardly. .. You know? When you think you just give off whatever vibes? & Ppl are only treating you a certain(bad) way bc blah. Bc as time progressed, I got more used to not a wth is wrong w/ me but wth is wrong w/u type of thing. 😁 & If I wasn't so annoyed, than w/out me being annoyed, I think I'd be unbearably egotistical.
omg this is the literal WORST!!! Sometimes I'm lucky, and it takes only like almost an hour of just listening and silently getting to know these strangers a bit better before I even feel remotely comfortable in my own skin again. And when I'm not lucky, I spend the whole event with a feeling of "Please let the ground open up and swallow me on the spot I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!"
Yes!!! My friend said 'Let's go to dinner on Friday' but when I get there she's like 'Oh did I forget to mention that there's going to be 6 other people?' Yes, you did, Nancy! Now I have to talk with 6 strangers and I'm a terribly awkward person! Don't blame me if I start talking about serial killers during dessert because you didn't properly prepare me!

Oh my god, phone calls are the worst!!! It's like all of my life flashes before my eyes and I'm faced with the greatest dilemma of all time: do I answer? Do I not? Do I wait and call back? What do I say? What if it's someone who wants to invite me to a party or social situation? I can't say no, that would hurt their feelings!! I can't lie, what if they find out?!? What if they keep calling? AHHHH!!!!
I can relate omg😂😂 I'm like: I'm going to tell this joke to girl I want to be friends with....ok.... I'm going to tell her...nah, it's to awkward now...how to say it? Spontaneous? Or, very confident? Ugh.... I'm going to tell her tomorrow 100%!!! *tells the joke finally* *she doesn't get it* *awkwardly smiles and dies inside*
Its ok to have more than 1.5 sec of silence/pause. Rather than u force yourself to say something back which may turn out ugly. Just be yourself and go with the flow. Intoverts out there, I would recommend u to read a book titled "Quiet: The power of Introverts in a world that cant stop talking" by Susan Cain. It convince me and helps me a lot.
"Introverts just really aren't phone people." True that. The moments when I get to my peak levels of anxiety is when I hear my phone beeping or vibrating. I just get really really scared. There are so many times I've avoided phone calls and I prefer texting rather than calling. I'm much more comfortable with that. Wish people understood.
I'm afraid of phone call too. everytime I have phone call, my heart will beats so fast(?) xD, and I'll be like 'should I pick up or pretend didn't hear anything?'
Yeah I get like that too. Cuz I'm mostly on my phone stalking kpop groups (or just bts) and I don't feel like talking to anyone and just being alone, I get like this :/😂
If my phone rings, *I WILL DO ANYTHING TO PICK UP THE PHONE* because i am afraid if someone labeled me an otaku because my ringtone is DIVER from anime tilted Naruto Shippuden 😅
And when i answer the phone...it will be a longggggggggggggg silence until the one who called me say something and i be like "ummm h h h e e ll oooo( *gasp* ) .... 😅
I think shyness and social anxiety are two things that are often clumped up with introvertedness for some reason or another. Introverts can have many friends and be very outgoing with large groups. They can even enjoy it for a while. They just can't sustain that for as long as extroverts can. Social anxiety can happen to extroverts too. I know because it's happened to me. Until just last fall, I always thought I was introvert because I didn't have many friends and had pretty severe social anxiety. I've come to realize that's not true though. I get energy from being around other people, I was just nervous around them though because I would always beat myself up in my brain about how I was "less than them" or "not one of the cool kids". If you define them the same way Jordan did in the video, Introvertedness and extrovertedness really aren't super useful for talking about how you interact with other people. Introverts just need time every day by themselves and extroverts need time with other people every day. With practice, They both can be very skilled at doing the other thing that doesn't come as naturally to them though.
Erin Prior I want to be invited to parties but I don't actually want to go, I just appreciate whenever people decide to take the chance to invite me because I'm seen as a bit of a weirdo and I like when people are able to get past that and invite me, but then I remember I hate parties
I am never invited... cause all my friends are introverts... introverts don't only not want to come but also don't arrange parties themselves... I LOVE MY FRINDS for that!!!
Hey, can we just take a few moments of peace and quiet and just enjoy this moment if being in each others' company without feeling the burden of actually saying any words???????
I find all of these extremely relatable. I hope that's not a bad thing. For years I've been trying to push myself hard into becoming an extrovert (since they are generally deemed more successful, dominant, dynamic and happy with their life) but it did not go well. I guess we just have to accept who we are regardless of the societal norms.
true that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being an introvert, it is just a type of people. though i'm still trying to be comfortable with the fact.
do you hate lineups at places as well? i hate line ups and if i see a line of more than 1 or 2 ppl i just turn around and leave. nothing makes me more uncomfortable than going into a crowded joint with like 10 ppl in line and im standing there feeling like a piece of shit
+Gaylord Hancock I can handle standing in line pretty well, but I always act like I'm the only one there, until someone talks to me first, then do I interact lol. :-)
I'm absolutely an introvert but I hate loneliness!!! Which I feel tired when spending too much time with people and need to "charge" myself to spend time alone, but when I'm alone I feel soooooooo lonely and sad and everything just seems to come up in my mind!!! I start to worry about every single little things and I just hate it so much. In most of the time of my life I really wish I was born an extrovert so I don't have to always be so stressful just because of thinking too much!!!!!
I am an introvert, and what works best for me is not being around too many people at once. I find when I'm just with one or two people at a time I'm as relaxed as when I'm alone, especially if they are quiet, too. If you're concerned about worrying and overthinking, you could also try reading or doing something that occupies your mind when you're alone. A cat or dog to hang with might help, too.
I am thoroughly an introverted but over the years my dad hyped about it so much and negatively talked about it. It was so demeaning. I mean this behaviour of treating my introversion negatively led me to develop shyness and low self esteem.
People need to keep in mind that you can be hyper and introverted. It's just common for introverts to be calmer (at least on the inside, while we scream on the inside during social interaction. Especially phone calls.) Now, I'm not saying he is an introvert, I still have my doubts (since, for some reason, people think that it's "cool" to be an introvert and it makes them super special) but him being hyper shouldn't be your sole reason for ruling him out.
Cynical Cinema i agree, there's a lot of introverts with extroverted habits and a lot of extroverts with a lot of introverted habits too. There isn't strictly "introverted" and "extroverted" people. Just people who identify with their preference.
Tana Collier Not exactly, there's also a biological difference between introverts and extroverts. For example, an extroverted brain focuses its blood flow to the parts that process sensorial information and an introverted brain focuses blood flow on the cognitive thought area. That being said, as a further example, extroverted brains are quicker to respond to external stimuli and can come up with responses to people in mere milliseconds while introverts need more time to think of one since they often prefer to think about what they say before they say it.
Samuel Kleis you are correct about it all being biological. With tjat being said...I am an introvert. When I have something to say or add to a topic I cannot just blurt it out in milliseconds. I have to think on it...look at an issue From all sides..but then when I speak my thoughts on it everything comes out super hyper..meaning when I talk I talk very fast. This is also a biological trait. Way to many times I have had people say "don't you ever shut up" lol...which yes I do...all the time as a matter of fact. Its jist by the time I find something to add my 2 cents on I have turned it over in my head so many times tjat I have now become passionate about it. As for all of my words spilling out lightning fast...biological. When I think about it or its pointed out to me I do make a conscience effort to slow my words down. But to be in my head...to see my thoughts...it never slows down. My thoughts are by far much faster than my words. Many people do not understand how this process works.
Marcia Rose -- Different personality traits are also big factors to consider. Some people may criticize me, but I often use MBTI to explain this point. "I" (introvert) is only the first letter of the four letter code of the 16 personality types. After "I" we have "S" (sensing) or "N" (intuitive). People with S tend to be a lot more spontaneous than people with N and lean more towards inductive reasoning than N. People with N tend to internalize their thoughts more and prefer to see all angles of a situation before acting through deductive reasoning. Next "T" (thinking) or "F" (feeling). People with T tend to act on what they think is objectively right for the situation and those with F act more on what they feel in the moment or what they think will benefit others, although I don't think these two traits incur anything on how long it takes for one to internalize but I may concede to F requiring slightly less thought at times. Then there's "J" (judging) or "P" (perceiving). These are the two biggies here. J's like to think things through a lot before they act and make a plan. P's, on the other hand, like to wing it. Then with each type comes a bunch of functions that I won't delve into a single comment cuz that could be a video by itself. That said, my point is that not all introverts are the same (the beauty of it all) and there are different types and levels of introvertedness. I like to describe myself as the extroverted introvert because, although I am an introvert, I also tend to demonstrate stereotypically extroverted behavior for however long I can last in a social encounter
Acting extroverted is a skill that introverts tend to hone. As you get older it gets easier to fake. But I can attest to the fact that we have very limited time being extroverted. Then need to hole up in a room that is quiet to recharge so we can go pretend to be an extrovert again.
I believe he's an introvert. If he says he is then he probably is. A camera is a magical thing. It turns introverts into extroverts, and extroverts into introverts. An introvert is way more likely to be comfortable with a camera while an extrovert is way more likely to not see the point of one.
If someone starts a conversation about something that interests me, man, I can’t stop talking! But uninteresting things like small talk and I’ll be quiet... By the way a lot of introverts have taught themselves how to be extrovert since introversion isn’t really accepted by society, but it drains my energy so quickly...
There is a stigma that introverts are awkward people who don't know how to talk, start, or keep conversations! They meaning some introverts making videos on introverted people make us seem like a bunch of weirdos, but most of us just don't want boring conversations which have no sense of flow or small talk! We can be the most fun people to hang around, but there comes a point in the day where we just want to go home, relax, be alone for a couple of hours........ or weeks doing to stuff we enjoy!!
not Rosie Downtime for us does not mean wasted time. We use that time to reflect on the day, or spent our time on a hobby like for example drawing or writing that allows us to deal with stuff and relax. Or we just watch a couple episodes of our favourite tv series and then write a three page essay analyzing said show and its characters and put it in a youtube comment section. That might not be how it is for all other introverts, but you'd be surprised how often and how quickly my quick reply to a text post on tumblr or a comment on youtube evolves into an in-depth discussion about life, the universe and everything. And it's a fun challenge and a good way to spend your time if you don't want to directly interact with people. Because frankly, that can be so exhausting. Us introverts are generally considered to be the more philosophical of the two, hence why many famous writers and poets identify(ed) as introverts. We like to "jump in the deep end":) (Remember what I said about the essay? There, I did it again XD)
Well, i'm the kind of introvert who wants to be an extrovert, but at the same time I don't want to leave my introvert lifestyle. I just want longer conversations with people IRL face to face shit.
"You're so QuIeT!" "Why are you so QuIeT?" I hate it when people call me quiet, while it may be true, you don't have to keep pointing it out; I especially hate it when they say it when we're in a large group of people which draws attention to me and then everyone thinks I'm shy or something, when really I just don't want to talk to you!
I can relate. They even labeled me as the quiet or shy in the room.. i not feeling comfortable to join to their group because i feel outcast especially when the group's friendship started more than 2 years ago.. more like i am too late to join on this group..
Happens to me too all the time. Funny thing is, the one time I responded with, "and you're so loud, why are you so loud?" I got called rude by my parents. I feel like it's rude either way to call attention to it. :)
+Nelson Villegas Not just that. We just have our reasons for not talking. Me? Every time I open my mouth, I think I'm bothering you and you're going to hate me for it. Nothing feels worse for me than when I catch you at a bad time, so to avoid that, I just don't go for it because I don't even want to take that risk.
"don't waste time and hate small talk" eh no not at all I mean that's maybe you but that's definitely not everyone. Honestly people who do that kind of sound like douches like this one Manager Shelby who only says "good" whenever you ask how her day is and she's always frowning.
I hate it when it's parent teacher conferences and you're forced to go. Then all of a sudden your teacher says, "Your child is doing well in class but we all wished to shared her ideas more often" I'm over here like, 'Are you freaking kidding me? There's such thing as introversion. Do you really want a black eye?' Then my mom's like, "Everyone in our family and all our friends wished the same thing. It's horrible that {insert meh name} and her brother won't talk to us much." (My mom has an accent so her English isn't that well.) I AM DONE WITH PEOPLE. CANT YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THE STRUGGLES? #TheStruggleIsRealIntrovertEdition
Miraculous Paris Love ikr !same. Btw when I was a child that happened to me as well. I can't forget when my teacher asked my mom if I have some mental issues or disease or disability coz I didn't communicate much with my classmates and teachers. He's so stupid. It kinda hurts tho. I also thought there was somethin wrong with me when I was young and believed what he said cuz I wasn't aware of the word "INTROVERSION" before.
For me, it was the exact opposite. I was extremely loud and extroverted as a kid, and my teachers always said how I was doing great, but talked too much. Now, I'm one of the only introverts in my school.
That happened to me, but my family thinks I'm shy but I'm an introvert, I hate talking in school, but they keep forcing me to talk but I won't, they think I have a disability, my life sucks.
Sometimes it happens that i am in a group, and people are talking about something i don't know (a serie that i never watched for example), and then: why aren't you talking?? Bruh, i don't even know wtf you are talking about...
The internet; a place where where introverts can talk to other introverts about being introverts in the safety of our own homes.
I know, right. The internet is so awesome.
yes, it's amazing.
Yes best invention ever since the wheel, and that's a close tie.
It's beautiful.

First of all Introverts aren't necessarily shy, we just prefer not to talk just for the sake of talking.

Introverts are:
>Not shy
>Not stuck up
>Not stupid
>Not loners
>Not "have nothing to say"
>Not social outcasts
>Not need/want no friends
>Not hate social events
Introverts just feel drained after extended socialising and just need to recharge by being alone.
^This!!!
*thumbs up*
Bingo!!
This is totally me! I recharge when I am alone, but once you get me talking, it is hard to stop! lol.
the biggest problem introverts have is that if we are with are best 2,3 mates we can talk to them easily and even if someone else u dont know comes u can talk to them but if ur best mates are not there than u become nervous and dont know what to talk about to anyone and then it becomes awkward and boring
totally me man
That's so me
100% me
That happens to me all the time 😑
Yaassss
Being an introvert doesn't automatically mean that they're shy, it just means that they can't socialize for as long as extroverts without getting drained. Most introverts are actually very outgoing and all around great people, but they just prefer to be alone whenever they're feeling drained.
I'm an introvert but still work with people, a lot of them. That does mean I fall asleep as soon as I see a couch after work.
My weekends consist of eating fast food and falling asleep on the couch watching reality tv.
He said generally tho
Same, I like hanging out with my friends but I can only go out for so long before I need to go back home.
You mean some introverts, not most.
'Do my friends have more fun when I'm not around?'... What... are 'friends'?
Malice never related to something more hurtful in my life :(
I think they meant acquaintances
They meant fiends
Its always nice to see another introvert, we just see, we dont even talk.
introverts are psychic.lol

+Alfah Supreme ikr
Buoya Abmadam ikr !
We are telepathic people probably lol
as an introvert I like to just observe everything other people do and how they do it, their facial expressions the things they talk about...how they interact with each other...it makes me smarter...but it also makes me insecure because I'm not like them...I wish I was more outgoing and fun but it's just not me, my true personality is a calm one...I like to stay home and watch UA-cam videos and listen to music, read about things that interest me...my sense of humor is more of a forced one...I try to be funny when I'm really not naturally funny, I'm just naturally serious.
Thank u :)
Alex Medina No problem 😀
Alex Medina The majority of that is me... minus the significant other to cuddle up with. she's somewhere else in the world.

SuperJuvent. I know what your saying. I'm sure they don't always talk about nothing. but I don't like small talk. I just get right to the point and people feel threatened by this. Small talk is boring and fake

yes agree with you. i am a lot of comfortable with my family member than friends.
+☆White Fox Stopmotion☆ I usually just cancel the call and make some excuse up why I can't answer xd I know, I am the worst
I’m always getting calls from strangers but never any from people I know.. I am sad.
If your a contact, I feel like I have no choice but to answer
I hate hate hate hate phone calls to the point my phone is always on silent.......i love love love love cancelled plans
I keep my phone on silent as well. To the point I pretty much forgot what my ringtone is. And when I have to turn my phone's volume up, the ringtone surprises me. And it's really grating on my nerves as well. Can't stand it. Love the silent mode of phones. Glad they thought of that.
hahaha...same here.
I hate phone calls, yet I work in a call center and love it. Weird.
The only time mu phone's not in silent is when I go to sleep and wait for alarm.
SAME SAME SAME SAME
"shy" is a horrible and false stereotype that results from misunderstanding. Is not that introverted people are shy, it's that they genuinely don't want to volunteer/talk/stand up/be the center of attention. Some are shy, but so are some extroverts.
I'm shy but also an extrovert lamo
lmao
Yh I'm not shy at all but I'm an introvert
I guess that's why he said generally
+Gergely Kozar thank you!
I'm an introvert and I don't like it... I never find a topic to talk about when I'm with someone but I want to find a topic so badly because if I don't then I'm gonna be 'shy' and 'quiet' in the other person's eyes. Anyone else has this problem?
Fien De Clercq me on a daily bases at school
Me too
I think you should not force yourself to say something if you don't feel like saying it. if u do you are acting unnatural and by acting unnatural makes it even more awkward and worse its better to say something or do something thats comes naturally and not be all in your head thinking what should I say what should I talk about.
Yeah me too.
Same
I hate it when people equate introvert behaviour with lack of self confidence, insecurity or social incompetence.
But what if I’m all of those things?
Sometimes I'm just too lazy to talk
Panth Mantheon Ikr
Panth Mantheon same though I always feel proud to be an introvert but I am everything but shy so yeah #introvert4life
Shut up Satanist.
Seagull 0w0 Same.
I presume they are not your close friends. Because close friends would have seen you from years and they know you better.
In my school i dont have friends in my own class quz they are all extroverts and dont like the introverted me and i found finally some good fruends but they are in an other class and the teachers dont care so i have to live with that for another 3 years🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
i'm exactly the same way
And then you end up talking too much bcs you don't wanna be too quiet and awkward
lol I wish
I can only do that online in comments because I have the time to think about what to say. In real life my mind just goes completely blank. I'm a writer, not a speaker
Exactly! 😱
I tend to do that sometimes but it turns out that that's alotta awkward.
Relatable! And later I regret it
Yeah, that 2 happens with me, it's just like I can't shut my mouth
+Blackrose Sage, those actually go well with each other. More often than not, introverts want to interact with people or things they _already know._
Same lol
Once someone called me and I hung up on them and texted them back "what"
They shouldn't have bothered to respond to your text. Somethings are easier to discuss over the phone as oppose to text, and although there's nothing wrong with being an introvert, you should at least be able to handle a phone call or you need some professional help. Also hanging up on people is rude.
Stephen Older if I told you it was when I was 11 would it make you feel better?
The problem is....I’m to introverted to do that....
Jen R. Totally do that, or make up an excuse why I couldn't talk
Just tell them you don't like calling and that you perfer texting.
i am an introvert, OVERTHINKING is one of my very serious social problems, just meet new person and i we greeting and silent came.... and next day, like we never met before and in my head i always think "did i look wierd, did i annoying them, did i doesn't fit with them, did i look funny?, did they laugh at me when i am not around?". i feel like i really need to make a really small step one by one instead of like saying "HEY GUYS, CAN I JOIN YOU??" i will prefer silent even tho i already greeting with them before. but when i am drunk/ hit the alcohol everything change, i'll greet, dance, partying with everyone on the club. i once greet like 20 people at one night, partying and eat together and when i am sober, i start being alone again.
YESSS! Totally me
It's like me wrote this.. I am always overthinking and I can relate with everything you write .... Sorry for my bad english.
I'm introvert but you're going too deep, depression.

You just described me

I like how everyone's saying to me that I'm mysterious because I don't talk so much when I actually don't have anything to say
Wow, that's actually very relatable.
That's actually true. My friends be like "Why aren't you talk something, anything" and I just " I don't have anything to say. Why would I talk? I'm fine just listening to you" -__-
Adrian_ Sarkisov lmao people always tell me or ask me "are you gonna kill me?" 😂😂 I just can't think of anything to say
Yep people think I’m mysterious too and sometimes, just for my own fun, I pretend to be a secretive superhero that’s working for a spy agency and is undercover. Just to kind of freak people out, and also it’s funny to see there reactions ;p
Adrian_ Sarkisov That's literally me and when I do talk, they don't fucking listen to me so what's the point of talking?
does anyone else hate when people video call you?
I don't have to worry about calls since I have an iPad mini instead of a phone, but seriously, I have to deal with FaceTime, where not only does the person hear my voice but they also see my face, which I absolutely hate.
I just don't pick it up and text the person later instead :D
Yes
PeaceLove&Wisdom No because that never happens to me! Hahahah.....Ha.........
PeaceLove&Wisdom I hate calls in general
like dude just text me
as an introvert i have a superpower: its called being invisible
like nobody notices my presence because i'm always on silent mode
That can be a hindrance when u want to be noticed...
When you only have a couple of friends and people think you're sad and lonely.
Yes people do think the same way for me
I may be sad and lonely, but at least I'm glad I don't have to worry about doing that "socializing" thing.
I've lived a life of that attitude. Fact is it is hard to find people that can see the big picture. I love to sit back and watch the bs. I hold my comments. And chuckel to myself. I'm INFJ. hardcore.
Who cares what other people think. Doesn't bother me one bit.
*my only 1 friend is an introvert, she is the true friend*
When you force an introvert into thinking that they have to make small talk, then things tend to end up badly. Silence is nice and gives you time to think, but when others convince you that you need to talk, conversation can become awkward and stilted. It seems like whenever I talk now all I do is complain about something the other person and I have in common because I have no idea what else to say.
EnderHeart5911 true!
And it also makes a lasting impression to others that I only care to talk about myself when in reality I'm just afraid to overstep anyone's boundaries
EnderHeart5911 you have absolutely no idea how much I just related to that
EnderHeart5911 so true. If it doesn't become awkward and stilled then it will turn ugly.

You see phone ringing but don't pick . you wait until the phone stops ringing & you thing of all the scenarios what could go wrong . you have all these questions in your head like why is she/he calling me . what she/he want? what am i gonna reply if they ask something i don't know. Then you finally calling them back and make excuses why you didn't pick up the call and feeling more guilty. and saying to yourself
why are you like that!😥
karan kapoor
Same here,
omg I do the same
spurthy patil now I put my phone on silent mode ( not on vibration) and everytime phone rings I take a deep breath fist calm myself down than I pick up the call. 😌
Vibration is silent mode I can't hear it when it's on that.
karan kapoor I can relate, especially on phone calls like did I do something wrong or what, either way we just ignore and think of an excuse for a short conversation that kinda looks like a meaningless awkward situation 😫
Happy Unicorn This is the point where you say, "Wow, you're loud." :P
I'm an introvert. no doubt about it. but my friend is 100% and extrovert so she talks when I don't. it's gotten to the point where she can talk for the both of us around people and know what I'm thinking so I don't have to do anything with people I don't now
Layne Bottom You're so lucky..
Layne Bottom lucky bastard
That's me and my best friend xD
Layne Bottom me toooooo
Army Is Everywhere, Including here!!! :D omg same
Not for me, I’ve tried talking, no one just can’t seem to hear me so I just end up getting ignored more than half the time. So now I’ve learned, just don’t talk at all and just listen.
I know that feel bro. Happens almost every time. Probably a sign that they don't like us
In the beginning I talk, when I first meet people. That's what I'm usually thinking later when I'm overanalysing the situation.
literally me
Candace Garrett literally me every day 🙁😓
@@infinitesprings I want to be friends with you, that felt like someone was describing me
If I don't talk to their conversation, they always say's that "Come on, Talk anything!" then I would say, "Am,,,, Yeah,,, It's fine,, I'm having fun listening with you guys"....,,, And this happens aaaaaaaaa lot,,,,,, I don't now what they're thinking about me , but please,, I hope they are seeing the pattern that I only talk few words and love to spend my thoughts alone by staying beside them,,, Cause it's more fun for me..... Staying alone is awesome but,, I also love to read books, listen music while seeing their presence even though I don't even talk a single word to them....,.,
KJBvidz What is your native language?
I understand that so well! I am an indian and here, your entire neighbourhood, state , country absolutely everyone is an extrovert and if you are by any chance not one of them, they are gonna put their whole days work in the bin to make you one! They are almost always like " Just speak, anything absolutely anything, that'd help you *cure* "
Yeah! CURE! They think being an introvert is *WRONG!*
Uh-huh, *WRONG* that is!
KJBvidz I'll just simply say "anything"
indana zulfa sari i have tried that they just laugh and start all over again.......... they're hopeless and so are we...........they'll never change nor will we........... haaaaaaaa...........
This is basically a description of my life
Demise SAME
Honestly I relate to ALL OF THIS

As an introvert, I work at a technical support call center. It's a rather painful job, for me.
All the best
JT
Did that too, but I was drained when I got home. Though what helps is that you can use the auto pilot after some time.
Found a bunch of people i can relate to here.
Ikr it's like FAMILYYY
FOESHOW
I'm an introvert; and this video has to be the MOST enthusiastic and exciting introvert explainer video I've seen, yet. LOL
loud, frenetic, fake, annoying.I Lasted about 10 seconds
Im an introvert too lol OwO
he may be an introvert but he is certainly energetic and over the top. I mildly like it though.
aze chase keep in mind the video is only 5 minutes long which means he probably put all his energy and bulldozed through this
He took a personality test. He isn't an introvert
Actually I'm like this when I'm alone and only when I'm alone xD at all other times I'm very introverted
I love how you're so energetic and expressive but not annoying to me at all
Rose Cornelia It's like a super power or something!😁
I'm so happy to have a friend who occasionally likes silence, so sometimes we just sit next to each other and only talk because we want to, not because we feel we have to. "Hey can we just take a few moments of peace and quiet and just enjoy this moment of being in each other's company without feeling the burden of actually saying any words." sums it up quite nicely.
Yess, this ony happen when u met person same as introver like us, but i got 5% only.. this world too full of extrovert's person
My cousin/best friend for 50 years and I are exactly like this.
I need a friend like that. I'm constantly worried about the people around me because I talk very less and I feel the pressure of making a small talk.
I want to be friend with you
I only feel comfortable in silence sitting w/ certain ppl.
Daenni yeah ure right I just think that y they are visiting us
Daenni you must say what comes to your mind first, I can understand your feelings, I just want to say you make the first step and you will feel the difference
i just stay in my room and if my mom comes and say come say hi at least thats when i lock my room.
Daenni yrah yeah
I am the shyest person to have ever roamed this planet... Whenever I'm not talking (which is all the time) people are like "are you okay? Why are you so quiet??!?" and I'm just sitting there like: "wtf do I say? Oh jeez, I gotta be funny, think of something funny to say!"..
*says what I think is funny* ....
*person does not laugh* ..
*Oh sh!t balls! Code red, retreat, retreat!*
"Sorry, I gotta go..."
Yes me too.

He's cute as hell so I don't care
That's what I was thinking. However I can be pretty loud myself, but never in public hahaha
very true
He's fine. But yeah i hate it when people talk too loud even though theyre just 10 inches apart
3:03 Omfg, I swear I get anxiety each time the phone rings xD
Kitty Kat My heartrate just increases x3 every time
Sometimes I don't even answer my phone because I'm too afraid
That's why my phone is on silent ALL THE TIME.
Kitty Kat I tell them to text me..I love texting😂😂
I love your profile pic ^^
Or when your teacher says to pair with someone for a group project and all the kids join a group, you are quiet and end up with the "weird" kids! :(
Andrej Nikolov have you already tried to know the weird Kids? Maybe they are cool, you just need to give a chance and open your eyes. This is what the rest of the world should do about us introverts.
Oh my, I hate having partners unless it's somebody I'm close to, but if it's like a random person I just correct the mistakes and double check all the work that we've done.
That moment when you ARE the “weird” kid 👍🏻
Especially when you go to a new school and you don't really know anyone
Yeah then you'll end up doing all the work. Which I hate but kindda okay since I will not exert too much effort just to talk to my groupmates or the one being paired to me.
I wish we had a country full of only introverts 😂
Man that's like heaven
The United States of introversion.
Doofus Productions that's what I'm talking about lol
Nobody would go anywhere ever
Stufz And such good point lol
Brian O'connor there will not be a country as ,all are introvert nobody wants to be some one neighbours
I always warn people that I won't be talking in chats much, especially a chat full of strangers, but when I DO talk...
Me: You sound nice, but maybe practice a bit more with (whatever) ^^;
*"They don't think I'm weird, right? Or too demanding? Did I seem to aggressive? I put an emoji there so it wouldn't make me look like a douche. Wait, maybe they're just cringing at it. Do people even use emojis nowadays? They're responding!! Oh no... I knew I shouldn't have said that... Now they're gonna look at me like a bitch..."*
Them: Oh, thanks! I've been practicing a lot lately, but your advice is very helpful! Thank you! :D
*"We. Are. FRIENDS."*
This happens EVERY SINGLE TIME. I send a message on a group chat and instantly regret it and then start thinking "What will these guys think about me?" And can't even unsend it because some people have already read it
Omg SAMEEE
Me in a nutshell
Or when someone invites you to their house and they don't Tell you that there would be alot of people you don't know 😱
omg this is the literal WORST!!!
LMFAO SAME XD, GOOD POINT THOUGH
Yes!!! My friend said 'Let's go to dinner on Friday' but when I get there she's like 'Oh did I forget to mention that there's going to be 6 other people?'
Yes, you did, Nancy! Now I have to talk with 6 strangers and I'm a terribly awkward person! Don't blame me if I start talking about serial killers during dessert because you didn't properly prepare me!
I'm an extrovert and when I have parties I always tell people to bring someone I don't know
Then why are you commenting?
I can't even describe my joy when my friends cancel plans. omg
at least you have friends
same here.. although i'm an introvert At first i thought i wouldn't relate to this video.. but then the last part especially was soooooo accurate.....
May Mustafa same !!!
when I make plans to socialise it seems like a good idea but as an event gets closer the feelings of dread steadily grow.

I once had to text on the group for homework and i was sweating more than if i ran a mile
I did that too but i really thought that i would become too clingy or just that one that forgets everything ....
I'm an introvert that suffers from progressive genetic hearing loss and tinnitus, so I can no longer talk on the phone. SCORE!!!
AHHHH!!!!
jordan w
I just never answer phone calls
I just am like
Text me instead
jordan w omg, every single word, waaaaagh, that is just SO like my inner turmoil in such a situation tooooo!! why are we so crazy?😟😫😳
jordan w I hang up on my friends when they call me. Can't do it with my family though. *sigh*
I never answer phone calls😂 if someone asks me why I didn't i say I didn't hear or something. I am reading a bookk and someone calls me😈
jordan w
Ahhhhh!??! So true (my exact thoughts)
That awkward moment when all the kids are partnering up for an assignment, and you're just sitting there hoping that the teacher will let you go solo
Godot that is me for every assignment like that
xD I can relate!
*tells the joke finally*
*she doesn't get it*
*awkwardly smiles and dies inside*
Its ok to have more than 1.5 sec of silence/pause. Rather than u force yourself to say something back which may turn out ugly. Just be yourself and go with the flow. Intoverts out there, I would recommend u to read a book titled "Quiet: The power of Introverts in a world that cant stop talking" by Susan Cain. It convince me and helps me a lot.
aziemah hamid Where can I get that book?
That moment when someone is approaching me and I’m just praying to God they don’t talk to me
*"please don't say hi please don't say hi please don't say hi please don't say hi please don't say--"*
"Hi!"
*ABORT MISSION*
Hot Cosby omg, 100% relatable
CheekyLovesCheeseCake:) me too😂😂
Relatable af
All introverts feels this way, don't worry about it Fam
it's our thing
One word: relatable
That was 3
"Introverts just really aren't phone people."
True that. The moments when I get to my peak levels of anxiety is when I hear my phone beeping or vibrating. I just get really really scared. There are so many times I've avoided phone calls and I prefer texting rather than calling. I'm much more comfortable with that. Wish people understood.
I feel the same whenever the phone rings..
This is super relatable and I've been losing friends bcuz they think I'm being to distant around them ;-;
Shivering Crickets same :(
Same :(
Shivering Crickets Same.
That's why I only have a few friends that understand me
This is why i only have 1 friend
hahaha!! Lmao! I feel you xD
😂i think we are same lol😂
Do my friends have more fun when I'm not around?
I think both intro and extro have this
It's not that we are SHY! We like small groups of people not large ones.
Yeah we like small group of people that are most close to us
When your invited to a party:
...
No.
No..
No...
No...!
Nooo..?!
No!
No!!
No!!!
NO!!!!!!!!!!!
NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Erin Prior I want to be invited to parties but I don't actually want to go, I just appreciate whenever people decide to take the chance to invite me because I'm seen as a bit of a weirdo and I like when people are able to get past that and invite me, but then I remember I hate parties
Erin Prior **Darth Vader scream** *_NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!_*
Erin Prior I lie to my friends that my parents wouldn't allow me to go to parties, because I'm scared I would embarrass myself.
I am never invited... cause all my friends are introverts... introverts don't only not want to come but also don't arrange parties themselves... I LOVE MY FRINDS for that!!!
when you don't get invited to parties:
:)
I guess we just have to accept who we are regardless of the societal norms.
u r right
+Vaibhavi Bhole but introverts often go unappreciated
they are appreciated and appreciate mostly among themselves :"D
true that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being an introvert, it is just a type of people. though i'm still trying to be comfortable with the fact.
yes I've struggled with being an introvert for years. I've accepted it. it has its strengths. but people don't understand it.
OK. The game control example is one of the most brilliant illustrations of anything I've seen. Kudos.
Yep, I'm introverted and this is all true, it sooooo exhausting to be social. And the coffee on saturday scenario is 100% true for me lol. :-)
do you hate lineups at places as well? i hate line ups and if i see a line of more than 1 or 2 ppl i just turn
around and leave. nothing makes me more uncomfortable than going into a
crowded joint with like 10 ppl in line and im standing there feeling
like a piece of shit
+Gaylord Hancock I can handle standing in line pretty well, but I always act like I'm the only one there, until someone talks to me first, then do I interact lol. :-)
Energy from coffee? Why not have a energy drink?
+KevinCompanyTV lol, why not? :-)
+Kry Kry I understand. :-) Does that make it hard to find youtube channels that you like?
I'm absolutely an introvert but I hate loneliness!!! Which I feel tired when spending too much time with people and need to "charge" myself to spend time alone, but when I'm alone I feel soooooooo lonely and sad and everything just seems to come up in my mind!!! I start to worry about every single little things and I just hate it so much. In most of the time of my life I really wish I was born an extrovert so I don't have to always be so stressful just because of thinking too much!!!!!
You're probably an ambivert
Alone and lonely is not the same. You are a totally normal introverted person^^
Draken Kartikay Kaul Same
Draken Kartikay Kaul
Same with me. 😞
My favorite introvert quote: I'm not shy, I just enjoy the silence more than I should.
Try being an introvert while wanting to talk to a girl who is an introvert and then just standing next to her for a hour, with no talking.
ouch.
make eye contact, smile, maybe wave.
Yes that was 2 weeks ago...and 1 month ago, and 3 months ago, ...and.....Im doing something wrong.
Who’s the guy narrating this whole video? He’s awesome
Vanna Theos Was thinking the exact same thing! First video I see in this channel
Same
Jordan taylor
AND I do not fully believe that he's an introvert!1
I believe he's an introvert. If he says he is then he probably is.
A camera is a magical thing. It turns introverts into extroverts, and extroverts into introverts. An introvert is way more likely to be comfortable with a camera while an extrovert is way more likely to not see the point of one.
The how much silence is too much silence is MEEEE
My friends are always like Y YOU SO QUIET?? I’m like “I just like listening.”
I have a question. Is what you're actually thinking, "I don't think what I have to say is good enough."?
@@georgehiggins1320 Why is listening such a bad thing? If everyone talks but doesn't listen, we're doomed.
I love the controller simile
Metaphor*
Just shut up and let me recharge.
People saying he's not introvert just meant you misunderstood him because he's probably full charged or not an introvert
Lrc Dlc or he's making it less awkward by pretending to be an extrovert.
a lot of actors are introverts
Or he's really into what he's talking about.
Introverts can also be loud and talkative. He said "generally" Introverts are shy and quiet, so not all introverts are the same.
If someone starts a conversation about something that interests me, man, I can’t stop talking! But uninteresting things like small talk and I’ll be quiet... By the way a lot of introverts have taught themselves how to be extrovert since introversion isn’t really accepted by society, but it drains my energy so quickly...
*I related more to the comments rather than the video.*
nothing beats a cancelled scheduled hang out. such a feeling of liberation.
ikr
so trueee!
free time!!!
Yeah! Such a good feelings
cancelled badminton tournaments 😁😁
There is a stigma that introverts are awkward people who don't know how to talk, start, or keep conversations! They meaning some introverts making videos on introverted people make us seem like a bunch of weirdos, but most of us just don't want boring conversations which have no sense of flow or small talk! We can be the most fun people to hang around, but there comes a point in the day where we just want to go home, relax, be alone for a couple of hours........ or weeks doing to stuff we enjoy!!
PREACH!!
This^
ALONE FOR HOURS??? Honestly I have no idea how introverts survive I would actually die
not Rosie
Downtime for us does not mean wasted time.
We like to "jump in the deep end":)
(Remember what I said about the essay? There, I did it again XD)
Well, i'm the kind of introvert who wants to be an extrovert, but at the same time I don't want to leave my introvert lifestyle.
I just want longer conversations with people IRL face to face shit.
"You're so QuIeT!"
"Why are you so QuIeT?"
I hate it when people call me quiet, while it may be true, you don't have to keep pointing it out; I especially hate it when they say it when we're in a large group of people which draws attention to me and then everyone thinks I'm shy or something, when really I just don't want to talk to you!
I can relate. They even labeled me as the quiet or shy in the room.. i not feeling comfortable to join to their group because i feel outcast especially when the group's friendship started more than 2 years ago.. more like i am too late to join on this group..
Mars That's exactly how I feel
omg its what I feel 😶 *hug introverts group *
thanks for the hug, we may not be understood by the world but at least we are through each other :)
Happens to me too all the time. Funny thing is, the one time I responded with, "and you're so loud, why are you so loud?" I got called rude by my parents. I feel like it's rude either way to call attention to it. :)
I have never seen a more accurate representation of my personality in my entire life.
Introverts are not shy. They just don't waste time and hate small talk.
It depends...I can be socially awkward shy, but my bf isn't though. And he is more of an introvert than me at times...*shrugs*
but it's true that there CAN be shy introverts
***** You don't understand that small talk leads into deep topics. That's the point, small talk is just introductory.
Miraculous Paris Love ikr
SoulTurtle16 XD
Oh my God! I'm not alone! Every one of these I relate to.
yh... this is so tru. lol
im introvert person
Yaaasss same here!
me too!
so much so it's freaky!
I hate it when a person asks “Why don’t you talk?”
Me: I mean, you didn’t ask me anything.
Sometimes it happens that i am in a group, and people are talking about something i don't know (a serie that i never watched for example), and then: why aren't you talking??
Bruh, i don't even know wtf you are talking about...
