I'm a girl and this is literally what I do.
A couple of my friends liked each other, and the guy looked up "How to tell if a girl likes you," and the girl looked up, "How to tell if a guy likes you," and he asked her out (thinking she'd say no), and now they're dating. They have now told each other what they looked up, and apparently almost all the signs are the same for guys and girls.

Guy here, here's my perspective:
1. Naw, I don't do that.
2. Ehh, nah. It depends on what you mean.
3. Not really. I should do that more though.
4. I smile, only laugh when something is legit funny.
5. Not really.
6. I really, really should do that but no.
7. That's awesome but I don't make a big deal about it.
My advice, notice how much he cares about what you say. Notice his legs (if they're moving that's a sign), does he try to extend a conversation? Does he like to help you with something? Does he smile? All these are signs, at least that's what I try to do. I need to show more signs, personally, but that and combined with the possibility of him not having a girlfriend, there is a huge possibility he may be into you.
I don't have any guys crushing on me, but when I do, I will look out for these signs. 😊

Yes! I'm a guy and I was (and still am) of the impression that it is healthier to enter relationships after your teenage/developmental years are over. Or else if you leave your continuously developing brain to make such a decision, then it could affect the way you will see relationships later in your life, and probably not for the better considering the lower ability to process emotions and experiences properly.

This is funny because I have two guy best friends. I didn't have to watch this to know that neither of them like me. One has friend zoned me, and the other is dating one of our mutual best friends. That's not true actually, usually when it's like your ultimate crush it's really hard to make eye contact cuz you're terrified she'll find out or you'll do something embarrassing. This usually ends in you doing something really embarrassing.

Here's a long story:
My closest guy friend is my crush. He is so amazing and I'm always happy around him. He has a crush on this other girl that would never be with him and probably can't stand him. I'm not just saying this because I like him, but because it's the truth and for an incredibly intelligent guy, he can't seem to figure it out and I don't have the heart to tell him. He figured out I like him and is fine with it. He moved to another school and town half an hour away and got his phone taken away and he doesn't have social media. We're both really old fashioned. So, we lost contact over the last summer and haven't spoken to or seen each other since, but I know he's going to my school again next year.
We never talked to each other until the last school year when we had one class together, being Choir. We eventually sat next too each other everyday and were always talking. He hardly talked to anyone else. Near the end of class we would start playing the piano together. He even writes his own music (how freaking cool is that?!) and would teach it to me because he had taken lessons before and I was just beginning to teach myself to play. One time, I didn't have my fingers on the rights keys on the piano and he just took my hands in his and showed me the correct keys. The whole time I was thinking 'Oh my god he's holding my hands, a boy is holding my hands!' He must have seen how freaked out I look because he was like "Relax. I won't bite." He didn't have to do that, right? He could have just told me what notes to play. Another time, I was joking around and blocked his face from my view, using my hand and he took hold of my hand and moved it out of the way so he could see me and said "I don't believe in barriers."
Later in the year, he asked my to sing a duet with him and we sang "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better" and he was always trying to make me laugh when we practiced. We would always joke around and we would get in trouble with the teacher because he would try to chase me around the room and stuff like that. He even pulled up a chair for me, when we were on a field trip, so that he and I could sit in chairs while everyone else had to sit on the floor. I thought he acted differently around me and so did everyone else, including the teacher. We were always so comfortable around each other and made a great team. I think it was because we were alike in many ways, yet still different. I felt comfortable yet nervous around him. I still, to this day, never directly asked him out or told him "I like you." I figured that I wouldn't say anything until he told me how he felt, if he felt the same way.
We're both really awkward people (not around each other) and I thought we were evolving into something more so I didn't push to find out where he lives because he already knows I like him and I didn't want to come off as creepy. We were taking it really slow and slowly building more trust and respect for each other. I had only really known him for one school year. But, before he got his phone taken away I got the courage to ask him, by text, if he liked me and he replied and I quote "My heart is reserved for another, but I think of you as a dear friend." I just felt so broken after that, thinking 'What did I do wrong?' We were still good friends though after that.
This last year some other boy (let's say his name is Jack) in his grade who didn't know (I think) that I like (let's say his name is Bryce) told me flat out "Hey, you know Bryce likes you." I naturally didn't believe him and replied "No, he doesn't. He likes (the other girl's name). Jack then replies "Maybe, but he likes you too. He talks about you both all the time." So to believe or not? I mean, I knew Jack and Bryce were hardly acquaintances. If he knew about my crush on Bryce, could he have been just indirectly mocking me? Or was he being honest? I could only hope he was right.
So, this next school year, Bryce is coming back to my school and it will be the first time that I've seen or talked to him since last summer. I don't know what to do. A small part of me hopes that he was just afraid since neither of us have ever been in a relationship before. He's just special like that (and no he's not gay). I just wonder if he was just too scared and maybe he chased after a girl he knows he can never have because if we were to ever go out and break up, he didn't want to lose me as a friend.
Was he just playing it safe? What should I do when I see him? What should I say? Could he possibly ever like me? I know I already got friendzoned, but is there still hope? Please tell me.

Being a girl, I have a few suggestions about what to maybe watch for, though this is just what I've observed and/or done myself.
If a girl asks you what you're doing on such and such a day, and mentions she's free then, too, but doesn't say anything more, she's prolly hoping you'll get the idea that she wants to do something, but is too shy/conservative to ask you herself. She may also ask you to do something, but if she asks, don't take that as a sign she's interested. If she's that bold with you, she may just think you're a pretty great friend and want to spend more time with you. But if that's the case, you two may naturally grow more interested, so don't be discouraged. Just don't try to force it.
If she seems a little bit distracted when others are talking, but then all of a sudden becomes really really interested in what you have to say, she might have been wondering what you were thinking, and hoping you'll say something she can use to judge your interest.
If a girl blushes and laughs a lot without saying much, she most likely thinks you're pretty great looking but isn't sure what to do about that. (Ahh, crushes. haha)
If a gaggle of girls seem strangely interested in you, they might be embarrassing a friend of theirs who's interested in you. It's also possible they're trying to gauge you're interest in their friend. Or maybe they just think you're pretty cool and want to have you join their group.
The thing is (with girls), a lot of the time we're pretty intentional about what we're doing when we're around a guy even if we have no idea about what to do. If a girl seems a tad bit too purposeful in her "casual" gestures (her touching your arm, hair, teasing, etc. seems a bit hesitant), she could be trying to make it more obvious that she likes you. But that doesn't go for everyone. Some people may be trying to decide if that behavior could be misconstrued as interest, so don't take this by itself. Or any of these. If there are a few of these signs, then she may very well be interested.
Liking someone is risky and confusing. Not everyone reacts the same way.
As I said, these are just things I've observed. They won't hold true with everyone. Some girls are really shy, and some are more obvious. Odds are that, if she's single and acting a little out of character mostly around you she's trying to decide if you like her and if she likes you (unless it's negative, like if she's normally really happy and now she won't smile or meet your eye, in which case you both might benefit from asking her if she's okay).
