It's a crying shame mate when I was in the army in 1998 those fodens looked absolutely one heck of a recovery truck & placed next to a challenger 2 tank looked fantastic but I always thought the army had wasted there talents,YOU on the other hand have done what it was bulit for,,, fantastic job ken😉👌
looking at your recovery truck, has your underreach a ram to lift it, if not how do you lift it when you have a truck on it, I was looking at Mr Hewes's video of him and his Foden recovery truck and he said that to lift the underreach he has to use his crane, but I think that is not right, and he would have to use his winch to lift it as then he could leave it connected whereas if he used his crane he would not be able to drive down the road with the crane attached to his underreach, thank you for the video as I ex driver with a Hiab crane I know what it is like being dragged out of a field, thank you .
@BrianSallis-h6z hi brian yes the underlift has a sling which is pinned to the crane, you remove a locking pin either side ,lift it to desired height then pin it and get rid of the crane, I've a vid on here lifting an RB44 with the correct military adaptors and you can see how it's done, same on the vid towing the trailer off the low loader vid
Just found your channel Ken. It was the ex military Foden that hooked me. Then I realised that we both come from the North East 😁. I’ve got a few mates who used to use those Fodens when they were in the Territorials. They loved them. They said if you couldn’t get it out with the Foden, you wouldn’t get it out 😁 Has the Foden got the Rolls Royce 290 and a Fuller 9 or 13 speed box? Keep up the great work. Got a sub from me
Considering it was being static pulled why oh why did the driver not drop that tag axle to lower the ground pressure going on each wheel ? next time your are in this position ask the driver to lower the tag axle it will make your whole job less difficult as it will free roll without the tires sinking quite as much.
Great result with all the mudflaps still on, Solid wagon doing what it was built for. Cheers

When a customer has you convert an 8x2 into an 8xzero...
FODEN!
What a machine!
I think that driver was optimistic going in with only single drive, probably alright until he dropped off! Love the Foden though.
Thanks Kevin yea driver said he'd get stuck but they had to get the cabins dropped off in that spot, it was their priority
Science says the moon is slowly getting further and further away.
With a long enough cable, I bet that thing could winch it back.

Where is the eight wheel crane
It's here mate
It's not a crane is it ? it's an eight wheeler with a hiab stuck on the back@@kensjobs2237

Back in the day drivers were drivers, today they are steerers.
