Thanks this is interesting. I have some old recordings from cassette tapes. I didn't have the technology in the late 90's to fix these. I also didn't know about being able to fix missing frequencies. Such a cool stuff!
Really amazing tool I'm using RX7 all the time to clean up my voice overs for my tutorials now definitely gonna try RX8! Thanks so much Josh for a wonderful tutorial!
I've made my way through the upgrade money saving path. Element -> Standard -> Advanced with plugin boutique and I paid about 425$ in the end to have the Advanded version. All of this only to fix my flac music that is victim of the loudness war.
They should make a similar module for the low frequencies too. There's a "Full Spectrum Patching" preset but it doesn't seem to be effecting the lower frequencies...
i think the reason they haven't done so is because this tool is using the concept of having the fundamental freq to be able to work out the harmonics for the higher freqs which is a lot more difficult the other way around.
Hi, I have some music masterclasses recordings. Someone talks quite soft and then demonstrate something on a musical instrument that is quite loud. At the end, i can hardly hear the voice. How to you proceed to fix this ? Music Rebalance ? Thanks a million.
Easiest solution would be to edit the track in a DAW. Add gain to quiet parts to match the musical instrument, smooth the transitions with proper cross-fades.
RX8 Elements only comes with some of the modules. iZotope's website has a comparison of all of the different versions. Spectral Recovery is only in the Advanced version.

Good video, but you should mention that this feature is only available in the $1200 version of RX Advanced.

Great.
The statement that the quality is not great became less true as the video reached the end haha
Is the full version of RX8 versus RX8 Elements?
RX8 Elements only comes with some of the modules. iZotope's website has a comparison of all of the different versions. Spectral Recovery is only in the Advanced version.
@@MusicTechHelpGuy Okay, I wasn't sure what version offered it. Thanks for the clarification. Love the Logic Videos you make. They're very helpful.
it not IN Rx 8. Its in RX 8 ADVANCED which is a completely different price point.
Wow
