This software is incredible. I have wondered for years if and when a programme would come along that could extract individual instrument parts from old mono recordings for making stems and remastering. Great piece of kit.
The fact that the Music Rebalancing is even THIS good makes this product a godsend for any remix artist. I believe I will get this, but $300 is quite a commitment.
Thank You Jef, I've been working with RX 6,7 & 8 for a long while & have watched a ton of tutorials but not even Izotope's tutorials (at least not the ones I watched) covered the selection of specific range o frequencies part of the software. So big thanks for that & a lot more that you covered (Or should I say Uncovered) in this vid. Oh & I like the upgrade idea that ' SRMoore1178 ' mentioned about the Nickleback removal module. I think they should call it "De-Nickle" and yes ' SRMoore1178 ' Nickleback jokes still a thing
Is it possible to simultaneously record sound to an SD card in 32 bit quality on the tascam device and record the sound of the camera on the smartphone when it is connected via usb c, when the smartphone automatically recognizes it?
I use isotope ozone 9, nectar 3, and neutron 3, But I’ve always stuck with Sound forge with Spectral layers for restore and repair, but now the isotope RX 8 with AI technologies really has me considering jumping ship. If I can only somehow justify the price for RX8 advanced during a time of job slow downs due to Covid19. Thank you again a great video
A better way to get rid of the beeping is to isolate the beep with the lasso then use the spectral De-noise to learn it, you will only need to lasso just one. After you learn, render the entire file it will attenuate all the others with the same and get rid of it. try it out
Interesting SW, definately something to look into! Another great vid from fellow Canuck, Jef, BTW! Would like to see a short vid explaining the diff between Elements and Standard version. A lot of interesting possible uses. It would be interesting to try to fix and vamp up the messy, poor sounding Beatles Get Back sessions outtakes, for instance.
. . . I still get swimming noise, even if I take it easy. But i’m working with old LP’s from the 60’s. RX8 is great at removing clicks and pops, and many other things. But some things leave a noise, especially de-crackle. I’m still learning RX8 though, so it could be the settings. There’s only a few videos on UA-cam with tutorials on ripping/editing LP’s.
Thanks for the demo i wonder if you can help me with something. I tried to record my voice with a removed vocal but does not work the songs stops how to record while singing?
Impressive video about RX8. Now can it do this, remove background music that was drowning out a conversation. I remember some old spy movies that had the actors turn up the radio or turn on a faucet to mask their conversation in a room that was bugged. What would be the main module to use?
I find when removing drums from old records it damages a lot of the music when doing so making the sample sound weak. Any tips to restore the sample after the drums are removed?
hello, i have a question , i use rx elements , but export is not working. keep showing "the specified file cannot be overwritten please make sure it's not open in another application and try again" i do not know how to do. do you have an idea about this?
Considering remixes are my favourite thing to make I’m considering getting this for the rebalancing feature but it seems pricey considering I probably won’t use a lot of the other features. Hmmmm
What are the Specks of Your Computer, As my RX7 Advanced gets about half way across with the rendering. And It just shuts off. I am having a New Modern Computer built at the moment. What do I go for i5 or up to i7? And I was using 6 cores and 16gib Ram. Just need to know what will cope with this program being so Computer Hungry. And do It like It doesn't know It's even Rendering. Thanks for the In-depth Tutorial.
Mind blowing. There are tons of wonky vst's trying to do what izotope has done with this software. Most are terrible. Thinking I'm gonna have to pick this Up. You can filter or EQ out the very little amount that is left. Convinced.
Were all twiddling our thumbs and wishing real hard. I think for sure there supposed to have a update for More flexibility in the arrangement window. Move around freely like a real Daw.
So if I load a Nickleback song I can just get rid of the whole band?! Ha ha ha... dumb joke. I'd probably just keep the sound of the producer farting in the control room. Are Nickleback jokes still a thing?

That is HUGE! totally impressive... sound editors/engineering tool box.... thanks for the rundown 👍🏼
What a studio you have, wow so nice !!!
Thanks so much Roland!

love that dx shirt
You really nailed the ICPM* (informational content per minute) in this one! * I totally made that up 😆
Ha! Love it... thanks Nico! (I had to, or the video would have been waaaay too long... and I just scratched the surface!)
why there is no video about isotope rx 8 time & pitch: / transpose

Wow! Great this RX 8, I never used it, but I think to buy it... Great video Jeff, best of all, you r the TOP
Thanks again Luigi!
Excellent review. Thank you.
Very educational. Almost like a free tutorial. Thanks for this Jeff 🙏
You are most welcome!
Thanks for the demo i wonder if you can help me with something. I tried to record my voice with a removed vocal but does not work the songs stops how to record while singing?
and that why izotope RX are great tool, because they could draw audio in visual

This soft is awesome for restoring vinyl records

I'm looking for the same answer as you... I will let you know if I find anything...
Great video again . Also a nice shirt you got ! :) where did you buy it ? Thank you
@Jef I prefer Spectralayers 7, especially if you're using Cubase.

It’d be great for that...
Have a look at Spectralayers as well, it comes with ARA and is even better integrated with Cubase. The demixing is even better then RX8.

Love the shirt! Where’d you get it?
great tutorial!...thanks for the good work!...amazing software, is RX8 is able to remove a complete guitar solo out of the track?
Thanks! Good question, my guess is you’d have some ghost solo in there....
Mind blowing. There are tons of wonky vst's trying to do what izotope has done with this software. Most are terrible. Thinking I'm gonna have to pick this Up. You can filter or EQ out the very little amount that is left. Convinced.
It’s mind boggling stuff! Thanks for the comments David!
Hi, RX8 looks different on my computer! There are many repair-tools missing. I don't have as many tools on the right side. Can anyone help me?
Where did you get that shirt!
This is great. Thank you for this!
Sir please make tutorial on mixing and mastering the song
pls help me I have ERROR
IZOTOP RX 7
(the selected audio device cannot
please make sure it's not in use by another and it's driver are up to date)
Thank you for your great video very helpful and informative
Great video!
Great video! Which version of RX8 was that? Do I have to spend the big money on the „advanced“ license for all that goodness 🤓?
Thanks! Yeah... but the elements version is perfect for restoration, the standard version has the music rebalance...
Is this the standard version or the advanced version?
Why does it crash my daws every time I use it
This software is ridiculous! Now I have to spend more money! I will wait for a bigger sale though! :)
Maybe Black Friday? Not sure if they do sales then or not. Great software!
Currently for $199 you can have RX8 Standard plus Nectar 3 Plus.
I will never regret buying this bundle.
I am torn between it AND Spectralayers (especially considering the price). What are YOUR thoughts on Spectralayers 7?
I haven’t checked out Spectralayers, I’d try the demos!
Hi Jef, will you be doing a video on the new Massive X expansions?
If I can get the time! The patches are great!
@@jefgibbons Oh great, thanks for the response! So do you think they are worth picking up in the sale?
Hi Jef, did you had the time already to have a look at the new expansion packs for Massive X? BTW, your shirt says DX7 instaid of RX8 😁
Hopefully... Good eye with the shirt! I should have mentioned my first car was a RX7 ;)
@@jefgibbons The first generation RX-7?
@@maus3454 1981!!! It was ancient when I got it, and only lasted a year... but it looked as close to a Delorean as I could get as a teenager! (silver)
@@jefgibbons A Delorean with a rotary engine! Haha. My first car was the 1st generation Mazda 323F, which also had pop-up lights
@@maus3454 Nice! Yeah, the rotary liked to break down a lot!!
dude... nice
Interesting piece of software. X🤘🏻X
Some information that this will come out as a AUv3 for iPad maby? Thanks.
The Music Rebalance Tool is crazy... wow
It’s incredible!
Do you guys think we get the new arranger October 1st in mashine since they just announced clips in the new mashine+?
Were all twiddling our thumbs and wishing real hard. I think for sure there supposed to have a update for
More flexibility in the arrangement window. Move around freely like a real Daw.
Technology is so good now. Lol. It's kinda scary
Not going to change the sound of the guitar? Wonderful software but removing guitar squeaks tells me people are losing touch with musicianship.
How we remove the little vocal in the back after removing the big vocal, just out of curiosity
So if I load a Nickleback song I can just get rid of the whole band?! Ha ha ha... dumb joke. I'd probably just keep the sound of the producer farting in the control room. Are Nickleback jokes still a thing?
Loved your Nickleback removal idea. see my comment above about the new 2022 De-Nickle module. Great idea man
