My hot topic put all of the rock bands together which makes me so happy, then pop culture on the other side 🙃 they still have all the stuff that alternative people wear
My hot topic doesn’t have much new stuff it has more like actual emo and punk stuff I get most of my clothes there because of that they have a little bit of pop culture but not a lot of
I'm trying to get more into the emo/scene style, and i think if Hot Topic went back to the 2000s style, it would help very much :3 And I've also been seeing many more alternative people !! :D
I agree with you! When you think of hot topic what should come to mind is emo punk and alt but NO it’s hello Kitty, pop and anime! I’m not saying they should get rid of the anime stuff tho cuz I like anime ❤
it's literally called HOT TOPIC! And as much as i would absolutely love love love more punk and emo stuff, it is supposed to cater to the current hot topics, that's just in the nature of the brand
The thing about hot topic though is that it’s getting every style of clothing and accessories that are new and go over to more what trends which is why it’s called hot topic
But punk and emo aren't just the only Alt fashion out there. I'd like it if they catered to all kinds of alternative styles. Stuff like kidcore, softcore, grunge, and all of the other cool styles out there!
I feel like if they kept doing that originally they would have went out of business and would most likely become irrelevant. I totally agree with this however I just think that it would ruin what the company has gained since the 2000's. They definitely need more viynl and cds in the stores I will say.
If they did turn to the emo and punks would it even sell well? Its more damaging than you think it is idk if their business was hurting in the past to begin with but that's what companies have to do. it was obvious why these kinds of stores went that route at least to me times change but I'm not saying it was a good thing I actually hate how I have to rely on these stores sometimes for pop culture merchandise. We got box lunch for just that though so you make a good point they should bring some punk and emo styles back.
I see what you mean, but in the 2000s emo and punk culture was seen as a joke. Many bands like MCR (yes, I know they’re not emo) we’re made fun of. Now, you rarely see that hate because we’ve changed and started to accept it.
Its just his opinion dude, i think it should go back to how it was too, but you dont need to insult him saying what u said. We know the world doesnt revolve around him, but hes speaking a lot of peoples opinions. Most people dont like how Hot Topic turned out today.
Spencer’s is a gift shop but also widely an adult store. (At least most of the Spencer’s I went to) it’s filled with South Park, Danny Duncan, LGBT (which is NOT a bad thing, I’m apart of the lgbt myself) it’s not really the same as hot topic, hot topic is more kid friendly.
facts, my hot topic actually has the audacity to sell nicki minaj tshirts next to mcr band merch :(

Hot Topic was created for ALTERNATIVE people! Not POP people, jeez Louis
SO TRUE

Well they could keep up with newer alternative styles while also keeping a section for the scene and emos, i would love that
Bro I’m a scene kid and my local hot topic barely sells scene stuff :(
Facts as someone that grew up with the newer pop culture side I wish to have experienced it before the change. :(
Hot topic is literally fast fasion. In the 2000s emo culture was really popular.
it's literally called HOT TOPIC! And as much as i would absolutely love love love more punk and emo stuff, it is supposed to cater to the current hot topics, that's just in the nature of the brand
i like miku but i wished the emo/scene stuff came back
The thing about hot topic though is that it’s getting every style of clothing and accessories that are new and go over to more what trends which is why it’s called hot topic
The name was supposed to be ironic
The hot topic that I go to has a little bit of pop things, but the majority of it is alt and I love it sm!!
I’m happy mine has the old logo and is still 2000’s after looking at this
I’m from the uk so I don’t have hot topic but we do have HMV which is similar!!!
They be selling evanescence and pinken park shirts at my hottopic so....
But punk and emo aren't just the only Alt fashion out there. I'd like it if they catered to all kinds of alternative styles. Stuff like kidcore, softcore, grunge, and all of the other cool styles out there!
Well grunge isn’t a style and hot topic can’t sell grunge clothing since it is fast fashion
If they didn’t keep up with todays culture they wouldn’t be in business
Not really, punk and emo culture is still very much alive.
As if people don't usually only get alternative band shirts and belts to begin with, nobody is getting elf ears and deku shirts its not 2020
Absolutly!
factsssssssssssssss I hate the new hot topic I want more emo stuff

It's called HOT TOPIC for a reason
I want t go to hot topic for scene things but sadly I'm in a different country
It’s called hot topic for a reason
Well instead they could do both the world does not evolve around you.
Its just his opinion dude, i think it should go back to how it was too, but you dont need to insult him saying what u said. We know the world doesnt revolve around him, but hes speaking a lot of peoples opinions. Most people dont like how Hot Topic turned out today.
Not the furry pfp 💀
I agree with u, dont mind the comments above
@@lauren1352I mean, a lot of punks, emo, scene, etc agree.
i agree as well the top two are odd
Havd you tried going to spencers?
Fr, I wish there was a Spencer's where I lived (ToT)

But then they lose out on huge profit plus most emos diy their fits
I dont think thats really a problem tbh.
WTH Hot topic?!
My hot topic is more just half and half
My hot topic looks way different it’s more alternative but it has some more today things like there’s a lot of Sanrio
that’s what mine does
