- Drift Garage Season 2, Episode 2: In this episode our hosts, professional Formula Drift drivers Chris Forsberg and Ryan Tuerck, get busy with their drift car builds at MA Motorsports. Forsberg takes the bull by the horns, installing a new twin turbo engine kit on his 370Z street car. Tuerck starts the upgrades on his old 240SX with an improved fuel system to accommodate a bigger turbo and bigger cams. The guys are working overtime, but they’re still definitely finding time for some fun. It's tough to find something to ask that you guys haven't covered! Would you guys be interested in ever running a superlight chassis with an NA build in the future? I think ITBs and built internals could draw a lot of attention in the hands of either of you two. Keep up the good work!

I love the dirft cars you guys build so clean and nice. That 370z is pretty much a rwd gtr with a manual 6 speed trans, you got to love nissans and toyotas, they are built to take abuse on the track when you are ripping those thing sideways.

The reason most people don't see 370z with over 1000 HP is because its such an expensive commitment. You can make a 370z insanely fast but it gets very expensive after 600 HP.

Are the missile cars you guys own registered for street use, or are they just non-op/ off-road used? A lot of kids around Socal don't have $ for a daily so they daily their thrashed 240's. Just want to know what y'all do. Second Question: Would you daily drive a missile car/ project car due to lack of funds, or would you put your dreams aside temporarily and get a econobox? (Hypothetical Situation if you guys were to start your careers over again) Anyways, enjoying the series chaps!

Do you guys ever wrap your exhaust manifolds on the 240's to keep heat away from the brake master cylinder and clutch master cylinder? I get a lot of heat built up in mine from daily driving and track days; I have the manifold wrapped and a heat shield on it. Any Suggestions?
Hey Ryan AND Chris. I am not much of an import guy, but I love the culture behind it. I am in the works of building my own mustang missile. I'm going to be using a 91 fox body with a cheap 347 I found online. I want a little extra power for drifting but I don't know wether to turbo or supercharge for this kinda build. What would you suggest?

On your shiny good looking Missile car, can you talk more about the front custom chassis. It looks cool but dont know how reliable it is compared to the stock. Why did you removed the front factory chassis and replaced it with tubular custom made. I can see that it gives you a lot of space but what else. is it strong and reliable enough?

Awesome video, I love turbos. Those tial gates are sick along with the rest of the kit. What are you guys using to control fuel and timing?
Do the external wastegates you installed link back to the exhaust or do they have screamer pipes? If so, are screamer pipes legal for a "street car"?

i was wondering about the upgrade with the cams. i read on a few forums that said you should upgrade other valve train parts, vales, retainers, etc when upgrading the cam shafts. would the head wear more with the larger shafts and stock valve train or would this be something not to worry about?

Did you do anything else to your sr other than the cams and injectors? Like rocker arm stoppers, etc.. What risk does that BC cam have?
Ryan did you already have a upgraded headgasket and head studs to go with the turbo and cams? and also I'm building a street 240sx coupe to play around with all the rich rig pigs and their camaro's and vettes up north-west in canada , would you suggest a sr swap with a bigger turbo, and supporting mods with a standalone, or a 1jzgte with stock twins for a fun brappy street car??

What made you guys choose the fast intentions kit over say the greddy kit, and I thought the fast intentions kit came with garret GT2860 RS turbos!!?

On your FD cars during competition, are the front tires colder than the rears during runs? Are you allowed to use any form of tire warmers?

Awesome video. hey for season 3 u guys should come to Australia and help me fix my s13 drift car. i snapped an exhaust valve for cylinder 2... need some drift garage lovin!!! also could do with a nice new Garrett and cams while u guys at it ;)
How do you degree your cams? Straight up like stock, or do you use adjustable cam gears and dial them in more accurately for power?
I have heard that too much turbo sometimes cause fuel to explode before the spark plug ignites And how come two turbochargers be added to a car i would like Chris to make a video tutorial on how to drift it would be helpful for me to start out with drifting with my s14 missile car I built from the season!1

I am almost 16, and have spent 2 years saving up for a drift car / fun car, i have around 7 grand, if i wasn't to get a 240 (which i probably will) what would you get? LOVE your shows, thanks again.

Q&A question I know the the 240s are the go to beginners drift car but they are few in my area but my area has lots of 80's and 90,s ford fox body mustangs. Should I spend more money to get a 240 or just get a fox body for cheap?

Hey whats up guys. I have a stock SR. Just have an aftermarket intercooler. Fuel pump and AFPR. I want to increase the boost to about 12lbs. To be on the safe side. Do i have to do any type of tuning? Will it run correctly without a tune?
I want to build a cheap track/dtift/daily driver 240sx... What should I focus my upgrades on? 1.5 way lsd or 2 way?
Did Ryan replace the Power Transistor from the Ignition? With aftermarket Manifold goes the Bigger Turbo pretty close to the Power Transistor, they don´t like high Temperatures.

Just call me Tan. When you're just having a day out drifting (or the competition itself) in your competition drift car/s, do you usually have just one tune that's ideal for most tracks or some minor changes?
