- Professional Formula Drift drivers Chris Forsberg and Ryan Tuerck show you how to build a drift missile car for 5 Grand! After some goofing around the shop, the guys get to welding the differential on the 240SX to get both wheels spinning together. Then it's time to upgrade the interior with Recaro seats and Takata harnesses. Next up, a little engine tuning on the Dyno to see if the factory 240 SX KA 24DE-T engine with added Isis Turbo Kit is hitting our horsepower goals. Forsberg then dives into the blown suspension replacing it with adjustable K Sport coilovers. This missile car is ready to shred! Forsberg and Brian Wilkerson take the "turd" to the track to test it out!

A lot of other people say the varying budget and i agree. Like if you get an extra 2k to spend (and already have a lifetime supply of tires lol) what are the next mods past 5k. Thanks for putting out such an awesome series!

How did they tune the stock ob 1 ecu? I thought you would have to get a Megasquirt or similar product to do a tune.
The s13's tune? RS-Enthalpy.
You should do other drift garage series but with higher budgets, like a mid level build with a budget of $10-15K, then a high end missle car build with a $30-35k budget, just a suggestion. I loved this series so much i just don't want it to end.
missile car = raping it on the street/track and smashing into shit. i dont think they would like spending so much money on a car that will get beat to hell. haha. but i do like the idea of a varying budget.
Alex Croak I would like to do another mid level "Pro Am" type build but I would not classify that as a missile car anymore. Missile cars are what this car is... a few key parts on a crashed chassis that you can thrash around the track.

Thanks! I am at 10 and was planning on 12psi. Is that off the stock ecu aswell? Love the show. I am always waiting for the next episode. Have a feeling gonna mod some spindles? Or add a inner and outer tie rode kit.
Friend of mine bought his 240 shell for 700 and by complete luck got a turbo rb20de from a r32 skyline for 1200. $2k drift missle so sick xD

hard to beileve it made 298 on just 12 pounds with the isis rs3871.my friends ka-t only made 330 on 20 pounds with the same setup.

There are straps that go from the rear of the car up and over the subframe back to the dyno itself. It's a different style of strapping cars down for sure but it works good.

pablo morales Used racing seats can be found from $100-$500. We ranged it on the high side to show that you do not need to go buy a brand new racing seat for your starter track car as long as it is not cracked. Sure you can buy a brand new Recaro for $800 but there goes most of your budget. A seat with some fade or a tear will sell hundreds less.

What kind of specs are you running tuning wise? Boost wise, injector size, fuel pump, and how do you tune through the stock ecu?
We use the ISIS turbo kit with runs about 12psi. For fuel we have an ISIS intank fuel pump and Deatschwerks injectors. All of which can be bought from Enjuku Racing at the prices shown in the show. Almost any tuner can plug into the factory ecu and "reflash" it with new maps to handle the boost.
