The best part of this video is the link at the end that takes you to another video talking about Austins apartment fire from 10 years back. Ironic placement given how the video ends.
I think that is just a video UA-cam recommend because they told it to recommend a video there. You got lucky with the apartment fire video being there. I have ultimate Xbox setup there.
I agree with the KZ earphones. They sound really good, they're built pretty well and last for a long time. The ear tip might be uncomfortable for some people but get a replacement tip like the foam ones and it's a solid earphone.
My pair of EDX Pros decided to break apart after 5 months. In the first 3 months, the left side cable oxidised completely so it won't transmit any audio and 2 months later the right one gave up in the same way. Just beware that they are cheap so materials are iffy.
I have the KZ EDX Cyan, X2 Pro and Lenovo GM2 Pro wireless. The quality and sound stage of each was amazing for the price. I'm going to be getting more and a few carrying cases for them. They are actually all different. You'd think some are just rebranded, but from mine and a friends experience, they are tuned and built a bit differently. Cool times we live in 😀
I got a handful of KZ IEMs just to try out different types. Some of the larger ones with just Balanced Armatures (AS's I think?) were really grating and bad. The rest ranged from "darn good for the cost" to being among my favorites - and all are really affordable. I like the ZEX Pro and ZS10 Pro x, and the ZSTs are fine but so cheap I use them often. All sound better than my prior JBL earbuds. They did a matchup with Crinacle who rates IEMs, but he then distanced himself from them due to shady behavior. Last I heard he was recommending not buying even the CRNs with his name on them.
Bought those KZ earphones from TEMU a few months back, for a few pennies and I'm blown away. I've been using them every night, while sleeping, for 8 hours, for 2 months straight, and as you can imagine, while sleeping the cables get tangled, you pull them all over the place, and they are still working. The sound is decent too. Those has to be the some sort of record for quality/price ratio you get.
The budget IEM market in China has come an extremely long way. For a just a few bucks more, you can get something that somehow sounds even better while still keeping it under $20. It's insane. And for $50? Man. You can get something quite incredible. There is, of course, some diminishing return there. Once you get over the $50 but try to stay under the $100 mark the difference is negligible. It's pretty much $5-10 KZs or CCA CRA, $20 Tangzu Wan'er or Salnotes Zero, $50 Truthear Hola or Crinacle Zero, $80 Hexa. Those are just a few, but have made massive waves in the IEM community. I'd recommend KZs to almost anyone because they've got that pretty classic v-shaped signature for the most part. I prefer the Wan'er for the flatter sound. It seems like the record for quality/price ratio in the China IEM market just keeps getting better.
For a pro musician who uses Ultimate Ears custom IEMs, I've used the KZ's for practice along side the rest of the band and we actually have them as backups. The sound quality is surprisingly good for the price, and if they get ruined or lost you're not losing out on 1000 bucks. They stay in our rig as a backup in case we forget our pros while knowing that they'll function. I would even go as far as to say they sound better than Shure 215's that go for roughly 100 bucks depending on the day. They may not fit as well, but they sound better.
Just a quick correction. Dolby NR only works with cassettes that were recorded with NR. It essentially just records the tape with way more treble. An NR tape without NR sounds awful and a normal tape with NR sounds awful too.
11:07 The lego guy has a brain!! LOL That's awesome. I watch a lot of these videos but haven't watched all, so no clue where it's from. That is such great attention to detain. I lol'd
Yes tanashin mechanisms are practically the only thing for any size manufacturers to make cassette mechs anymore. It was so cool hearing you mention this factoid.
The reason Cassette tapes had noise was most companies used cheap tapes. If they used metallic tapes the sound quality was almost digital. Also, if they converted to digital storage rather than analogue, sound would of been cd quality.
I didn't expect to see my KZ on this video 2 years with them and still rocking, probably gonna buy the bluetooth module since they are still going strong until this day
I would love to see an interview with the creators of those portable systems. You should try contacting the seller and see if you can get in touch with the designer.
I used to buy from Spencer's Gifts. I once got a mini 35mm camera. It actually took photos that could be developed at any photo joint. The film was tiny though. The photo quality was bad.
Fun fact, making Checkout buttons Red/Green correlates psychologically to a choice, meaning you stop think about it and dont convert. If you make it Blue or Orange or something it would improve checkout conversions and cart abandon :)
the one thing i'll stand by is the KZs EDX Pro. i owned that exact pair and i havent turned back. i have nothing but love for KZ's. currently using Kz's ZSN Pro. and they sound amazing. theyre about $70 or so. i live in South africa so prices are different lol
KZ's are great. I also highly recommend the Tangzu Wan'er IEMs. The quality you get for $20 is staggering. They are probably a little to neutral for some, so if you want a more bassy IEM, most any KZ or KBEar IEMs will suit you. This is, of course, assuming you don't mind using wired headphones. Which you shouldn't. No battery means no e-waste and replaceable cable means when your cat inevitably gets a hold of the cable, you can easily get a new one.
Please review the Xiaomi tour pro 2. It has a Lot of similarities to apple’s Bluetooth earbuds. Including noise canceling and earbud locating features.
I have the edx pro and super happy with them, the sound quality is easily compared to 700-800 dollars headphones.. But you have to plug them into amplifier to do them justice. Not just straight into the pc
Used KZ ATE for years before passing them down and those had Amazon's choice award, now I got some other KZ with planar drivers and there is even a bluetooth module with case to transform therm into BT set, the phones in this video would work with those, so you can have BT phones and if the battery dies just switch to cable. KZ phones are ridiculously good sounding to, heavy bass n all.
6:30 i use KZ ears phones myself and i must say don't judge KZ products with their price. Bcz they are really good for their price. I have been using the KZ ZSN pro x for 2 years now and its one of the cheapest and best earphones I have ever used. Would recommend them to everyone. 😁
Are there links to these items? Especially due to the fact that even AliExpress will show different items claiming to be the same thing. I would be interested in that flip iPhone to have as an emergency backup.
I had edx pro for almost 3 years now. They sound great, but after using them for a while i noticed the treble is kind of fierce, it's piercing my ear. Bass is good tho and i still use it sometimes with DAC to reduce that treble. 3 months ago i bought another one, it's KZ D-Fi. Damn the build quality is good and sound great, i really like it. I bought it for a discounted price at IDR 180k (around 15$). But, after 3 days using DFI, it started to imbalance. I can't return it anymore and think i should take the warranty. then i read from a post in a group i joined, dfi is the only one that had imbalance issue even after claiming warranty. At that point i put the iem on the box again, rarely open it anymore. Last time i checked the cable is already turning green from oxidation. What i learn from this, don't buy KZ product from a later batch (few months or year after the product released) they really got a bad quality check it seems. Even edx pro, the new batch of it got the same issue like dfi.
There's a better noise reduction than dolby; Using proper tapes, on a proper deck, recorder properly. The hiss then is barely noticeable (I avoid Dolby like the plague, the downsides outweigh the upsides). What you are probably hearing on that machine though is interference. Hiss, unless stupidly loud, is not that unpleasant of a sound. But that static-y interference hiss/buzz is. It's exactly the same machine as an "AGK" USB cassette player I once bought at a thrift shop for one euro, new in box. Yours is designed differently but it's the same inside, same buttons and same weirdly hinged cassette door. It actually works quite allright-ish for a 25 dollar thing, but the interference is off the scale. BBZJJSJJSSJJZZZZJJJJJ :D.
KZ IEMs are absolutely amazing. I have multiple pairs and I suggest them to everyone. Also, leave those chunky boy phones alone. They're adorable and they're doing their best.
The thing with modern cassette players isn't entirely the manufacturing quality. It's the blueprint they all use, is from an awful mechanism even back when it was new inthe 80's or 90's. VWestlife and I think Techmoan covers this subject.

the difference between $5 KZ and $20 KZ is amazing. I have a set of KZ ZSTs the purple and blue ones... and they sound as good as 140 dollar IEMs from other companies

@@Coolshows101 for me i got the cheapest pc build

And that mic tho.

yeah kz is the king of budget iems its actually unbelievable how they CAN MAKE A PROFIT from FIVE DOLLARS

I love my KZ IEMs, honestly. they're bonkers for the price.
KZ are like
some of the best budget IEMs out there, they just work and are made to
not be something you throw away despite the low price
Bet these guys just using apple craps
For a pro musician who uses Ultimate Ears custom IEMs, I've used the KZ's for practice along side the rest of the band and we actually have them as backups. Video ending smoke and fire related right after the "10 years ago" video oh no
the fire accupuncture bit needed the apartment burning down bit
We've gone full circle. Remember bluetooth cassettes so you can listen to your phone in an old car?
Used that for years in the work truck
Can’t believe techmoan got a feature. He’s a great content creator.
Techmoan is our classic tech go to man.
Just a quick correction. Dolby NR only works with cassettes that were recorded with NR. It essentially just records the tape with way more treble. An NR tape without NR sounds awful and a normal tape with NR sounds awful too.

I think it was like from one of the recent Asus laptop videos where Austin got gifted this Lego figure of him.
i paused video at precisely 10:22 so I can grab some drink... I came back to this image.
Cursed timestamp
This is how your mom was looking at me last night 😼
😂😂😂
i know absolutely nothing but my xbox one and my iphone11 & you guys and this channel are pure entertainment thank you Austin and company 💯💯💯💯💯
7:40 that’s because they all use the same port quality cassette mechanism but just add their own case because no one makes the any more
That Dreamcast edit was sick! Good job editor 👏👏👏
Yes tanashin mechanisms are practically the only thing for any size manufacturers to make cassette mechs anymore. It was so cool hearing you mention this factoid.
That phone at the beginning would be the perfect replacement to use for Octo4a. I could run any of my 3D printers and the camera to watch them.
Getting suggested the "10 years later" video at the end. You guys knew EXACTLY what you were doing
00:13 Austin saying "Water tester" as if he's never heard of, let alone seen, one before xD
Anyone who owns a pool has used or at the very least seen one
Yo i just love Austin because he is always so energetic and funny in his videos!!

I love that you brought more attention to Techmoan’s content.
When you showed the cassette player I immediately thought of Techmoan, and then you featured him. Awesome.
Can't beat the KZNs. Just incredible bang for buck, even if you need to get a dac or bluetooth adapter set to use them with your phone.
Fun fact, making Checkout buttons Red/Green correlates psychologically to a choice, meaning you stop think about it and dont convert. If you make it Blue or Orange or something it would improve checkout conversions and cart abandon :)
already used kz edx pro for 2 years and my ears don't feels same anymore.
the one thing i'll stand by is the KZs EDX Pro. i owned that exact pair and i havent turned back. i have nothing but love for KZ's. currently using Kz's ZSN Pro. and they sound amazing. theyre about $70 or so. i live in South africa so prices are different lol
I too am from South Africa and using KZ EDX pro, im keen to try some other options they have
6:25 I'm literally wearing these exact earbuds as I'm watching this video! I think they're excellent cheap earbuds and the bass is fantastic.

The video YT recommended me at the end of this video where he can't put out the combustion acupuncture thing was the one where his house burned down 💀
Thanks Austin for the content! ❤❤

These silly tech videos are so much fun. It's even better when you occasionally find something cool in them, like the earphones. xD
I like the small and chunky form factor. Feels better in the hand
Used KZ ATE for years before passing them down and those had Amazon's choice award, now I got some other KZ with planar drivers and there is even a bluetooth module with case to transform therm into BT set, the phones in this video would work with those, so you can have BT phones and if the battery dies just switch to cable. 0:07 fun fact every zero water picture comes with a water quality tester
Do you remember those ports on the back of the original xbox controller, i use to huff those as a kid all day long😅 14:55
Austin wears the goose hat and becomes the member of Ku Kluck Klan 😂
Keep the work up man keep it up🙌
Does Austin even review main stream tech anymore I was really expecting like a Vision Pro break down 🤷🏾♂️
The ending was brilliant. RIP Austin
Best ending, 10/10 editor or whatever it's called is amazing
6:25... didn't Ken unbox this exact model of IEM in his channel?... 🤷♂
The lead on that tongue scraper was just Chinese Factory Seasoning.
as a guy who likes to experiment around with technology, i can see quite a few uses for that little phone, and if it includes nfc even better
I had edx pro for almost 3 years now. They sound great, but after using them for a while i noticed the treble is kind of fierce, it's piercing my ear. Bass is good tho and i still use it sometimes with DAC to reduce that treble.

What i learn from this, don't buy KZ product from a later batch (few months or year after the product released) they really got a bad quality check it seems. Even edx pro, the new batch of it got the same issue like dfi.
Can you do another video on VIP Outlet? I wanna see what your opinions about it are right now.
I have a blue one of the same XS device, it can play youtube 360p for 2 hours. Downside: the speaker is the earpiece and quiet.
Just curious, do you guys do giveaways from all the techs you have collected so far?
Austin be like , I'M TRYING EVERY SINGLE WEBSITES FOR GADGETS, OH YES THAT RIGHT , EVERY SINGLE WEBSITES 😂 with weird tech only Austin can get it lol
I have the KZ and the X2 iems. As well as the Lenovo GM2 wireless buds. All absolutely amazing sound and quality for sub $5
Always love some good content! You're the best Austin!
Austin Evans has never used a tongue scraper and I'm now concerned about the people I've looked up to since I have been like 13
1:53 idk man. That thing looks massive. I not even sure I could hold it in one hand 😮💨
Kz earphones are the best budget iem and i would argue that its better than most expensive branded ones
The tongue cleaning part gave me chills 😂
Never expected my grandma's medical device(well...?) showed up here 🤣🤣

I bought KZ ZSN Pros on Amazon a couple of years ago and I love them. I paid $24 so at $5 for the ones in this video it's definitely an awesome deal.
KZ IEMs are absolutely amazing. I have multiple pairs and I suggest them to everyone.
Also, leave those chunky boy phones alone. They're adorable and they're doing their best.
That hat reminds me of those dr.suess hats from my time. 😂 oh man funny stuff
Those kz edx pros i got in amazon! Just ordered, looks pretty sick and even has good amazon reviews! Thanks Austin
“I should of sniffed that thing before putting it in my mouth” brahahahaha
The duck hat make you look like a member of the Dlux Quack duck
the iphone flip storage are very true to a real iphone ngl that storage fills up way to quick
a video after that 10 year anniversary hits really different 😅
I think you can test AliExpress products without behaving like a cocaine hysteric.
I have a pair of KZ in ears and at £30 I'm amazed. At $5 I'd feel like I stole them! Even Dankpods is a fan of the KZs
Dreamcast using what looks like a Heckler and Koch case XD
I love the duck edits
Ha Crazy Taxi 2… The Offspring never sounded better!
I have 2 pairs of KZ buds one of them I have a balanced cable for and they sound amazing for how cheap they are
Much love from Nigeria man. Love your work
2:10 I dunno that looks exactly the same thickness as my Galaxy S9
The thing with modern cassette players isn't entirely the manufacturing quality. It's the blueprint they all use, is from an awful mechanism even back when it was new inthe 80's or 90's.
VWestlife and I think Techmoan covers this subject.
Why don't you try the NEW 2DS XL from there ?
KZ is an actual legit brand of budget IEMs. They are a fantastic entry point into the world of IEMs.
Goose hat>>>
Those mini phones are commonly known as prison phones. I'll leave it to you figure out how they get smuggled in lol
Austin Evans is to cheap electronics as Maury Povich is to Paternity tests.
"In the case of the iPhone Xs..... you are NOT authentic."
3G is getting switched off here in Australia rolling out this year
Homeboy got reggaeton for background music, that’s wild
You're a wizard, Austin!
'Yup thats the hole'
Come on austin, really think we are mature enough to leave this alone 😂
It's the EyePhone....as in the size of an eye. Lol
the goose hat gives me minish cap vibes
How sweet is this guy? Asking for a friend
That cassette player would have been in that annoying plastic, gathering dust in the $5 bin at Sears 20 years ago 😅
KZ EDX Pro absolutely worth it for the price. Never buy anything over $20 from KZ, but in the IEM space, they are the best at budget.
“It’s all gone…..again” 😭
KZ.. yeah, i bought 2 pairs of KZ IEM earphone..
KZ ZSN pro X and KZ ZEX pro
the sound quality of their products is praiseworthy
but the price is depends on "how many drivers do you want?"
ZSN pro X is a hybrid of type of drivers, Dynamic Driver (DD) and Balanced Armature (BA)
KZ ZEX Pro is the first electrostatic & dynamic & balanced armature hybrid earphone of KZ. Three kinds of high-performance units, the sound unit is integrated, and the superior structure is supplemented by precise tuning, which instantly blooms the sound of nature.
the difference between $5 KZ and $20 KZ is amazing. I have a set of KZ ZSTs the purple and blue ones... and they sound as good as 140 dollar IEMs from other companies
The KZeds a classic in nugget technology
