All the Light We Cannot See is amazing!!!! I love it. I'm reading it a 2nd time. What amazed me was how much connection there is between all the characters even before they met.
I really have an urge to buy every book you just mentioned in this video. They all sound so amazing!! Kiss of Deception and All The Lights has been on my wishlist for a long long time so I'm really excited!! :P
It seems like people either loved or hated Isla. I'm interested to see where I sit with it once I get my hands on it. Also, I need to get my hands on All the Light I Cannot See. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about it.
I had similar feelings about the Locke and Key series. I wanted to explore the keys and doors SO much more than the horror elements. Very cool month of reading!
I have All The Light on hold for me at the library. I can't wait to read it! I loved The Storied Life so much. I just really felt for the characters. And I really want to read Burial Rites. It sounds so interesting!
Your videos are always so much fun to watch :). I definitely need to check out The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry - your description made it sound amazing!
I finished the Locke and Key series last month and oh man, it was fantastic! You'll probably really love the second volume. That one sticks out in my head as being particularly funny.
Loved All The Light We Cannot See!! Thought about it for days afterward!! Recommended it to every book loving person I know!! Awesome wrap up as always! :)
OH MY GOSH! I LOVE Burial Rites by Hannah Kent. I read that book this month and it was so fantastic. One of the best books I have read this year. And in the last few pages, I wasn't expecting to cry but then suddenly I was bawling. So well written! I hope she writes more books. I would read them!
It's good to know that about The Falconer. I've been wanting to read that for a while now, but maybe I'll put it to the back of my TBR... A perfect review for Kiss of Deception. It was wonderful.
Are you planning on doing a room tour now that you moved out? Also an updated bookshelf tour? That would be great! I've read The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry last month and I ADORED it.
Kiss of Deception is getting higher on my list of books to purchase. The storied Life sounds amazing. I am jotting it down. Hannah Kent has an event at the Writing Festival in Melbourne. I hope to see her speak one day, I have heard amazing things about Burial rites. I am going to be picking it up asap.
I really enjoyed Isla and the happily ever after. Mainly because i love Josh. But i was always waiting for a conflict to appear. In the two previous books there were a lot of them and a lot of going back and forth. And off-topic, i really like your pastel colored shelf with fangirl, landline etc :')
I'm reading 'All The Light We Cannot See' right now. Only a few pages in, but I loved 'The Book Thief' (it is my all time favourite book), so if this is up there it must be amazing!
Glad you liked Burial Rites, I did too. Haunting & atmospheric. It'll be the BEST movie. Also, applauding you for wearing a sweater in what I assume is ridiculous Texas summer heat?
All the Light We Cannot See absolutely blew me away. Definitely one of my favorite books of the year as well! Same with The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. :)
I loved The Kiss of Deception too! I can tell it's a series that is going to get better and better. You should read the graphic novel Rat Queens, I think you'd like it!
The Kiss of Deception was better than I expected as well, and I was expecting it to be great. I absolutely loved it, and am sad I have to wait so long for the next installment.
I genuinely loved this video. The reviews were very informative, honest and serious, which is way better than people who just jump and yell about books.
I finally got a copy of All The Light We Cannot See and I am so excited to read it. It's the middle of my semester at school but I was thinking of reading it when I'm on my summer break (December/January). But I don't think I can wait that long :P
Loooooove love love the angle you're shooting from!!!! & All the Light We Cannot See sounds incredibly good- I'm hoping to start it soon cuz of your recommendation :D can't wait
I purchased The Kiss of Deception this month and I can't wait to get to it! I've heard a lot of good things about it and it sounds like something I would like. :)
I read all of the Locke & Key graphic novels this month. They were so compelling and right up my alley that I just read them one after another. I hope you like the next ones in the series better than the first one, because I really loved them. :)
I was at the library and just looking around for a book to read and I picked up all the lights we cannot see and read the summary thing (literally forgot what it was called on the spot) decided to get and and I’m sooooo glad I did (I’m around 110 pages in)
I want to read All the Light We Cannot See so bad. There are so many holds at the library that I am just tempted to buy it but I don't love buying books that I haven't read and loved and know I will read again.
Some great reads for you last month! I'm hoping friends and family get me a wave of books for my birthday on the 13th, so I'll have such good reading material! Yuhh, I'm hoping September will be the month for me! ^^ As always, great video!
A lot of the books you read sound awesome! Totally ending up on my September TBR! =) I read quite a lot this month. Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, Lola & The Boy Next Door, Ready Player One, Mocking Jay, Maybe Someday, Ugly Love, Wait For You, Hover, Gravity, The Twelfth Keeper, Center of the Universe, After The End, Opposition, & Wander Love. O_O Didn't realize how much I read until now. I think I was soaking the last of my summer before fall semester came. ^^"
The angsty stuff in Isla really annoyed me, which is a shame because I had been waiting YEARS. It's a shame you didn't love Locke & Key! I really like that series, and it ends really well. Glad you're continuing with it! The backstory gets AWESOME.
***** I agree it got really angsty in the middle.. I also was pretty annoyed with the whole planning your entire future around a boy friend you had for 2 months.. But ya know. I am excited to continue!
I've heard so much about the Kiss of Deception and like you - have been skeptical. But I think you just changed my mind. I also LOVE stories about WWII - and will try and get my hands on All the Light We Cannot see. Also have you read Prisoner of Night & Fog, Reagan? I've wanted to read it for a while - it's another WWII story - and you seem to like those :) x
Yesss :D makes me happy that you finally read those books. Ironically my kiss of deception review is almost the same as yours, but I edited those parts out xD
Kiss of Deception sounds pretty amazing. I'm kind of sad you didn't enjoy The Falconer as much as you had hoped. I think I will probably still try it though
The Kiss of Deception, I am halfway through and I’m loving it and all but I guessed wrong! And was so damn sure! Ugh I am going back to read everything to sort everything in my brain into the proper order. I was like this is too easy... can’t believe I was wrong 🤦🏻♀️ 😂
This month I read Winger, I reread Anna and the French Kiss, I read Isla and the Happily Ever After and I reread the first 5 Harry Potter books (in the middle of Half-Blood Prince now). Any month that contains Harry Potter is a good month! I think I'm going to have to read The Kiss of Deception once I've finished rereading Harry Potter, everyone's been saying it's really good.
I like the more talkativeness, definitely, because you always have such great things to say! For example, you're the first one who's actually made me want to read Isla! (Though I need to read Lola first. I wasn't the biggest fan of Anna because of the cheating thing.)
You should read The girl you left behind by JoJo Moyes if you haven't already. Such a great novel set during WWI in France. Similar undertone to All the light we cannot see
Hi! I just want to say I really enjoy watching your videos :) You even convinced me to read "Vicious" by V.E. Schwab. I'm almost done reading it--- really great story :)
I also read the 1st volume of Locke and Key this month and enjoyed it! Did you know Joe Hill is Stephen King's son? I'll try to get my hands on the 2nd volume soon, 'cause one of my best friends read the whole series and said it is amazing, so cannot wait! I also have added The Kiss of Deception to my WL thanks to you ;-) Greetings from Belgium!
I need to get my hands on All the Light We Cannot See, it sounds amazing! Also, have you read The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender? I think you would like it. :D
Great video! So glad you enjoyed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. Did you have any issues with the language in Burial Rites? When I previewed it online, I remember the language really bogging down the reading for me, so I didn't add it to my wish list then.
I have to do a project fro school on other cultures, would All the light we cannot see be a good pick for this? My teacher approved it and you seemed really enthusiastic about it!
ERHMEHGERD THANKYOU! I'm not one to comment on youtube (while I do love your videos) but I just had to drop by and say thank you because I picked up All the Light We Cannot See after your insistent raving of this book and I finished it like 2 hours ago and its just. so. god. damn. beautiful. and it was just like standing in front of the lovechild of Picasso's Guernica and Monet's water lilies and I just have no words. D:
Hey Regan! =D You had a really good reading month! Resulting in more three books for mine #ReganMadeMeReadIT list hahay I'll definily check Kiss of Deception, Burial Rites and All The lights we cannot see. I heard mixed opinions about Locke and Key, so i'm not planning to get it. Bye and a kiss from Brazil!
Hi, love your videos! Every time I watch them I get curious to know the names of the first two books on top of Fangirl. The spines are so cute. Can you tell me the names please? ^^ take care
Did you enjoy Anna and the French Kiss? I'm about 100 pages in and I literally can't stand Anna as a character. I really want to pick up All the Light We Cannot See but it's so expensive!
All the Light We Cannot See is amazing!!!! I love it. I'm reading it a 2nd time. What amazed me was how much connection there is between all the characters even before they met.
All the light we cannot see is my most favorite store book of all time! The writing is amazing!!! I loved it!!!
I really have an urge to buy every book you just mentioned in this video. They all sound so amazing!! Kiss of Deception and All The Lights has been on my wishlist for a long long time so I'm really excited!! :P

Can we please get a new bookshelf tour? The new shelf looks great and I can't wait to see your organization style explained.
I'm reading 'All The Light We Cannot See' right now. Only a few pages in, but I loved 'The Book Thief' (it is my all time favourite book), so if this is up there it must be amazing!
I love your contemporary shelf !!! 😊
I'm so glad you like all the light we cannot see! It was one of my favorite books this year for sure!!
Hello Regan!

i agreeeee with everything you said about Burial Rites! it's sooo atmospheric!
Yay I live in Alaska so I love books that take place here! I will have to read this book!
Glad you liked Burial Rites, I did too. Haunting & atmospheric. It'll be the BEST movie. Also, applauding you for wearing a sweater in what I assume is ridiculous Texas summer heat?

I loved The Kiss of Deception too! I can tell it's a series that is going to get better and better. You should read the graphic novel Rat Queens, I think you'd like it!
I bought All the Light We Cannot See yesterday @ BE OZ for $5!! Can't wait to read it!!
I finally got my hands on All The Light We Cannot See, but not really in the mood for WW2 books right now, so I'm gonna let it wait until next month
The Kiss of Deception was better than I expected as well, and I was expecting it to be great. I absolutely loved it, and am sad I have to wait so long for the next installment.
I know me too!
I genuinely loved this video. The reviews were very informative, honest and serious, which is way better than people who just jump and yell about books.

I almost got Burial rites but I want that cover. Ever copy I've seen has a different cover.
Keen to read all of these and most of them i already own so thats winning. Your reviews and wraps ups are always the best.
Kiss of Deception sounds really good! :)
Great job with reading all of these books!
I want to read All the Light We Cannot See so bad. There are so many holds at the library that I am just tempted to buy it but I don't love buying books that I haven't read and loved and know I will read again.

The Locke & Key graphic novels get better as they go! Also, they're being turned into a movie trilogy! :D
Ended up ordering Kiss of Deception after hearing you talk about it.
Funny, I absolutely LOVED The falconer and I was let down by The kiss of deception :p Happy reading for October!
A lot of the books you read sound awesome! Totally ending up on my September TBR! =)

The Falconer sounds really interesting, I still might read it! (: Great wrap up!!
It was a very nice video :) And now I need to add Kiss of Deception to my constatly growing TBR list... Thanks Regan.
Katarzyna Grzesik you should SEE my tbr folder in my notes app 😂
Reading The Kiss of Deception right now!
The angsty stuff in Isla really annoyed me, which is a shame because I had been waiting YEARS. It's a shame you didn't love Locke & Key! I really like that series, and it ends really well. Glad you're continuing with it! The backstory gets AWESOME.

PeruseProject Yep, I was sure that by the end she would change her mind and be like "this is silly".
I've heard so much about the Kiss of Deception and like you - have been skeptical. But I think you just changed my mind. You made my breakfast a lot more enjoyable . Som many additions for my wishlist.
Every one of your videos I watch make me want to go and spend all my money on books! Thank you and not thank you at the same time...
You should go on with the Locke & Key series, it's amazing and original, very dark also.
Kiss of Deception sounds pretty amazing. I'm kind of sad you didn't enjoy The Falconer as much as you had hoped. I think I will probably still try it though
Thanks for the short review of The Kiss of Deception :) I've been debating whether to buy it or not and I have to say, I am convinced on getting it :D

Wow your read a lot! I too shall eventually read The Kiss Deception it sounds really awesome!
Usually I only get in around 5 or 6, but because it's summer and the first 3 Harry Potters are pretty short, I got through more. :)
I like the more talkativeness, definitely, because you always have such great things to say! For example, you're the first one who's actually made me want to read Isla! (Though I need to read Lola first. I wasn't the biggest fan of Anna because of the cheating thing.)

lol, that happens
You've read some great books this month!
What? Why haven't I heard of revolver before? I may have just bought it
You should read The People of the Book. It was really eye opening.
I was very meh about L&K which is a shame cause I love Joe Hill's writing and his other books are excellent.
Great video! Made me want to read all of the books. :)
I love these videos! Could you maybe do a video recommending graphic novels? I always love the graphic novels you say you liked :)
So many books I want to read, AHHHH!!!
I need to get my hands on All the Light We Cannot See, it sounds amazing! Also, have you read The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender? I think you would like it. :D
ISLA WAS MY FAVORITE TOO!
Great video! So glad you enjoyed The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. Did you have any issues with the language in Burial Rites? When I previewed it online, I remember the language really bogging down the reading for me, so I didn't add it to my wish list then.
YOU MAKE ME WANT TO BUY EVERYTHING YOU TALK ABOUT!!!!! Lol which one should I read first?
I cannot find that version of Burial Rites anywhere! So frustrating ahaha
I have to do a project fro school on other cultures, would All the light we cannot see be a good pick for this? My teacher approved it and you seemed really enthusiastic about it!

Isla was my favorite. :)
Regan if you like All The Lights You Can Not See you should really read The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom.
