I just finished Gone Girl the other day and I have no words and yet so many words. I was wowed and shocked and blown away by all of the things that occurred. My husband doesn't want to see the movie so I'll probably be watching by my lonesome~ Heir of Fire was the best thing ever and I graciously thank you for getting me into the series ^.^
I really enjoyed everything I read this month! I read the whole Divergent trilogy, We Were Liars, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Obsidian, Amulet books 1 & 2, and the Vow! I had an awesome reading month!

Gone Girl is probably my favorite book read this year. The author's other two books, especially Sharp Objects, are great too. The movie is spot on with the book. It was fun going with people that hadn't read the book that had no idea what they were in for.
Wish I had more time at the moment too, working 2 jobs studying and having a 5 year old there is not much time left to take for the reading. Watching yout videos makes me super happy as i still feel connected to the books.
The chaos walking trilogy and novella in seven days. Probably the BEST series I've ever read to date. (That includes the daughter of smoke and bones trilogy albeit it's very close)
[SPOILER ALERT ]I liked Heir of Fire but it just felt like it wasn't enough. Most of the time there was a lot of training and anticipation to something bigger but nothing major really happened (we found out a lot of important things, but the story didn't really move along). I think that the fourth book may be my favourite because it seems that the war will start with it. But I have to say that I'm loving the Ironteeth Witches! I wanted to know more about them.
PeruseProject To me the training part is fun for a while but after that I just keep thinking "jesus, she/he is such a slowpoke! just learn it already!". I know that I'm being unfair because if it were me I would probably be even slower or fail the training completely lol but I just want to have all my questions answered and for that to happen we need to move beyond the training phase. Maybe I'm just not reading good books with training parts

Several months later, I'm still reading it (library books always have to be turned in) and I think all the hype for the series is killing it for me. I will finish it and then read Crown of Midnight, so I do hope it gets better.
I read a lot of good books this month. My top two are Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and Throne of Glass. I can see what you mean about the Throne of Glass series... I just started Crown of Midnight and I already love it way more than the first book.

Regan! You should check out Marina by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It's one of my best reads this year and it's perfect for Halloween. I can't even describe the book on my own, there's just too much going on but in a good way. The book says it's a Gothic novel but it's so much more than that. BTW, you look so classy right now. :)
I definitely felt that way about Throne of Glass. I read it after hearing about how much you loved it. I read it quickly and enjoyed it. Still I felt like it wasn't everything I wanted. It was good though; I gave it 4/5 stars. I have already bought the second book, but I'm only two chapters in and am focusing more on my other book. Hopefully I love the second one more. I plan on reading Gone Girl this month. Along with a few other books to go along with the spirit of Halloween!
gone girl was sooo good i couldn't stop reading! i'm so looking forward to the movie..i think it's gonna be awesome, david fincher is one of my favorite directors. dark places by her is also really good but as not as great as gone girl :)

Heir of Fire was definitely my favorite book in the series so far, and one of my favorite books I read this month! :D While Throne of Glass was awesome, after you read the other books, you realize that it's really just a sort of introduction into the series. I really need to read Gone Girl. D: I read the second Mistborn book, The Well of Ascension, this month, so I'm pretty sure that was my favorite book I read this September. :D

non spoiler reaction for Gone Girl - so I read this few weeks ago mostly bc of the amount of hype this book was getting. Also bc I usually read the material before seeing the movie. The first half of the book was sooo great. but the second half or more like the last third completely destroyed my opinion on this book. I dont know, maybe it was bc I somehow didn´t find the ending interesting or surprising at all? Also I use to read a lot of psychological/mystery/thrillers so I read many books from this genre which are wayyy better (WAYYY) and they didn´t get half the hype Gone Girl is getting? Well I hope the movie will be at least good.

My favourite book was Goliath by far. By Scott Westerfield. Literally the best ending to any trilogy ever.
