I have been running Miranda and a Guardian Squadron Pilot loaded up with Adv. Slam, Connors, and Proton bombs. This list is a huge amount of fun, and my opponents are always surprised when the bombs come out. I am currently 9-1 with this list and in most of my wins, I haven't lost a ship.
You mentioned it a few times in different ways, but Extra Munitions is really your friend when you use bombs. It really cuts down the costs of the bombs to the point where I start to question my strategies if I'm only using a single bomb. Great video guys!
Hey. Note on this video. It is at "playlist slot 2". in the "Strategy - X-Wing Miniatures Game (Star Wars) SlingPaint 2/12 videos" playlist. When this playlist auto-plays, a viewer would see this video before part 1. I was a bit confused when I just had this on "play-all" mode running in the background while working. Suggestion. Edit the playlist video order so that part 1 appears before part 2. That would improve the experience of a user on auto play watching the entire playlist. The other thing I got from watching a fellow Candian player was a Dual K-Wing List. Both run the same way. I'm a great fan of Emon Azzameen, especially with andraste upgrade. I tend to try to mix up bombs that detonate on impact and contact bombs. that way if I need to evade I can and I really like Proton bombs as they can reek havoc on low health ships with the likelihood of getting a direct hit.

I like flying Miranda with Tycho and flank with Tycho and Slam in with Miranda and drop a bomb it helps me setup where I need to go with Tycho next turn and if its a big ship, if I use Conner Net, I know they are doing a 1 forward, but I mainly fly causal. So I dont know how it would work in Tournament play.

using azzameen u can turn three then three turn the bomb right into their face. and slave 1 can extra munitions its single bomb. plus with munitions failsafe u can basically create a mine line until one hits.
kaboodlefish aww dammit! I done goofed! I don't own a munitions failsafe so i didnt know the exact wording. FAQ needed imediately lol jk. new scuurg prolly has infinite bombs anyway.
I used to drop proximity bombs left and right, most of the time with my Agressor. Maybe because it was one of my first ships and I had points to spare. Nowadays I'm just lazy... That plus there's a lot more Scum ships to play with now. I do have a question too. Can bombs/mines be placed touching or overlapping obstacles like asteroids?
Yes, they can, but it can make it difficult to tell where the edges of the obstacles are for determining obstruction if they don't end up detonating. This isn't a reason to not drop the bomb; it's just something to be aware of.
I have any zero experience with advance slam and forgot its out there so I hope this isn't a silly question. Could I fly the Punisher or a tie bomber with advance slam and extra munitions? Thanks for the all help and putting together this channel
I looked up what the card looks like on the Xwing Squadron Builder app which doesn't mention anything on it that its for the Kwing only. It just has "modification" above the description of the action. unless using the image of that Kwing makes it that way.in which does that mean every card can only be used with the ship referenced in the art work. I thought that if on the card it didn't mention specifically which ship it can be used with it can be used on any ship, especially a modification card.
one bomb per ship per turn... so if you have three ships, they can drop their payload each in one round, once.. then do it again if they have more next round

I run Y wings with Ion turrets and proximity mines. Get in front of them, ion them, drop mine in face and laugh at their helpless butts.

afaik Munitions Failsafe doesn't work with bombs. They're not secondary weapons, and they don't satisfy MFs "discard to perform an attack" wording.
