Back in my day, the Sharpmaker only worked on the upstroke. So to get a nice even edge you had to sharpen uphill both ways.

I was camping with a few friends. One had just pulled a package of hotdogs out of the cooler and asked to use my knife. I had my beater V4E edc fixed blade and my norseman. Figuring he was gonna open the hot dogs, i gave him my norseman...
He battoned, vertically, my norseman into one of the ash logs we had brought to keep the fire going overnight.
I saw what he was doing after the second whack, but thought fuck it and let him go.. no damage, nothing.
And thats the origin of what has to be, one of very few norseman beaters

I don't care what dude says I enjoy your rambling about whatever pops into your head at the moment. There are plenty of channels out there spitting facts that really don't mean shit when that $500 knife with the supersteel these modern "men" have to have are used to open am on boxes. Oh yeah, they also have to have the right color scales to match their purse. Yes I'm an old man and love making fun people younger than me like most old men

      Sure why not ?
I love brass, my 110 or any knife that size may be Overkill for me when I can do it all with a Case peanut but I don't care and don't think any locking folder has come out that's actually better than the 110.
And if you think it's too heavy, the 110LT is only $20.

In order to get a really nice edge on your knives, drag the edge along your sharpening stone at a perpendicular angle. For best results, go to your local auto parts shop and buy blinker fluid to soak your stone in for ten minutes before sharpening.

    *QUESTION*
One thing I've noticed about the gec bullnose is that the micarta version requires a stronger pull to open while the delrin version was about average/middle of the road pull to open. I've been wondering if the bullbuster was the same way with the pull difference between micarta and delrin versions?

Bro, great video. The two stage opening you mentioned is called the walk and talk. This is what Cutler's called the opening action of a slip joint. The blade is supposed to click stop at about 90 degrees to the handle and then click in when opened the rest of the way. You almost never hear the expression these days. Makes me kind of nostalgic for the days when your knife was a tool and not some gimmicky doodad to impress other bozos with and deplete your bank account. Just the thoughts of some random old guy. Happy trails.
