Thank you very much for the instructions! I tried this today on my Tenacious. I used pure Ferrochlorid for 15 minutes and produced the stonewashed effect in a plastic container with rocks I collected on my tours in the woods. I used WD40 as a liquid and shook it by hand for 5 minutes. The blade could be a little bit darker in my opinion but the stonewashed effect turned out pretty nice. I put Flytanium Ti scales and a black deep carry pocket clip in titanium on it. Finally I sharpened it with the Spyderco sharpmaker - I liked it already before in its original state but now it looks absolutely badass. Best regards from the Black Forest / South Germany!

Hello, I'm new to the carbon steel game. I recently got into throwing knives and I am currently tired of cleaning/oiling after every use. I'm considering a "forced" patina but as I research I'm seeing the Acid Etch/Stone Wash style and it looks amazing. How is the durability/resilience of the finish? With the throwing knives they are constantly colliding with each other, if I choose to do an Acid Etch will it require a refinish after a short while?
