Whole Roasted Cauliflower / Super EASY Holiday Side Dish!

    INGREDIENTS
    • Whole cauliflower head
    Cooking liquid
    • 2-3 cups dry white wine
    • 2-3 cups chicken stock
    • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
    • 2 tsp white wine vinegar
    • 2 tbsp brown sugar
    • 4-8 cloves garlic, slightly crushed
    • 1-2 bay leaves
    • 1-2 shallots, cut in half
    • salt & fresh ground black pepper
    Flavor Paste
    • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
    • 2-3 tsp Chef Ange Base Seasoning - • The ONLY Seasoning Ble...
    • 1 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning or any dried herb blend
    • 1-2 tbsp fresh grated parmesan cheese
    • 1 tsp Franks Red Hot sauce or any hot sauce
    • 2 tbsp butter, melted
    • 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
    Garnish
    • 2-3 tsp fresh grated parmesan cheese
    • fresh chopped parsley
    DIRECTIONS
    1:23 1. Mix Cooking Liquid ingredients in a large stockpot and bring to a boil
    2:23 2. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium low and place cauliflower head in the pot and baste with a ladle once or twice as it cooks covered for 10-15 min.
    2:31 3. Preheat oven to 425F. Convection setting on if you have that option.
    2:53 4. While cauliflower is steaming in the stockpot, mix Flavor Paste ingredients in a small bowl.
    3:55 5. After cauliflower has cooked in the stockpot for 10-15 min, remove and transfer to a baking sheet with a raised grate.
    4:01 6. Spoon and spread Flavor Paste all over cauliflower head. Spray lightly with olive oil.
    4:41 7. Place cauliflower in preheated oven for about 30 min.
    4:48 8. Remove from oven and grate parmesan cheese all over and spray again lightly with olive oil
    5:04 9. Place in oven for another 15-20 min or until deep golden brown.
    5:14 10) Transfer to serving platter and garnish with fresh chopped parsley and enjoy!

    Really cool to see a recipe turned up to 11. I didn't have all of the ingredients you had, but I used what I had. The method is fantastic, it's easily the best cauliflower I've ever had. I'll be honest I ate the whole damn thing as a keto lunch without some of the carb heavy ingredients

    I've made this 3 times! Since finding this recipe I can't pass up a great head of cauliflower without making this!! I've made a few ingredient substitutions, and it's come out great!! Thanks for the tips!

      @@nicolaziggiotto6172 I've made it differently each time, depending upon what I had in the house. I typically substitute ginger for the garlic, veggie base for the stock and wine, apple cider vinegar-because it's what I have, I didn't use shallots or hot sauce, added a pinch of hing/asefoitida (I'm an Ayurvedic Practitioner) and I may have used harissa powder, and one of the times I may have added matzo meal (bread crumbs) that gave it an additional crust.

    Awesome, this looks delicious. We absolutely love cauliflower. This is a great way to make it. I usually just Steam it, but this us great. I'm going to try this soon, then add it too our holiday menu. I love a healthy side dish.... I'll have to make 2, bc I'm afraid I'll eat 1 up by myself.

      Now sure I under the question but if no spray, just brush it lightly with oil. Oil prevents burning.

    I am going to try this for Thanksgiving. I HATE cauliflower. If this recipe makes me love it I will be grateful. I’m not a big veggie fan overall. I’m going to try the Brussels sprouts recipe as well. I am hoping I will become a veggie lover soon.

    "Its REALLY easy!!" meanwhile there are a hundred ingredients in the list. 😱🤦🏻‍♂️ I dont think you all have the same definition of "easy" as 99.99% of us. LMAO

      These are all ingredients that most people who cook often have on hand. Nothing is expensive or uncommon. If you cooked more, you might find this to be rather easy and simple.
