I operate a hobby farm with acreage. My barn and driveway is first. My home and driveway is second. Amazon drivers continuously drop packages in my pasture, not even close to the barn. I heard a continuous horn blowing last summer and it was coming from an Amazon truck with a tiny girl/woman who with 100 open feet in each direction couldn’t figure out how to exit my property. She was so nervous she pulled ahead and managed to hit the only object on my property, my hay elevator. I don’t know who issued her her drivers license but she sat there and cried like a child. I backed the van up and sent her back down my paved driveway. These Amazon drivers are amateurs at best. Nightmare!
I worked at Amazon as a driver for a literal month.... You'd be surprised at the amount of idiots they hire. My biggest red flag was my "interview" wasn't an interview it was a mass hire event. The company from the ground up is a cesspool
Nope. SUV full of packages after a pretty good rain from the looks of it. And then probably put it into four wheel and stomped the gas trying to get loose before resorting to the floor mats and doing the same thing with more luck.

@Smokey_Smokes710 "don't order deliveries if you can't handle your property" wtf does that even mean? I'm guessing your a landscaper because of how willing you are to fix the lawn and how stupid you sound.
Just sprinkle grass seed and straw. Or let nature take the job. Not a big deal to most people. I get it, nobody likes it when people aren't accountable for their faults but in reality it's just grass.
Since it isn't that much work go ahead and go over there and fix it for him. And here's where you're going to say "It is not your fault, so it is not your responsibility to fix." Exactly the same position the homeowner is in. Your screen name is very fitting Karen.
It was Amazon flex. Think door dash but for Amazon. We go pick up like 50 packages in our own vehicles and deliver a route. A lot of flex drivers are idiots and/or assholes and think pulling into peoples driveway or yard etc is acceptable. I’ve done flex, and I personally report a lot of flex drivers that deliver stuff to me bc they are always the worst
Many times you have no choice but to pull in their driveway especially when their house is 200 yards from a road with no parking and you have a heavy box, plus dogs reported on the property and they want the box on the front porch. You can't put it in the mail box by federal law. However pulling in their grass was stupid. He has all that driveway.
This is not your normal Amazon driver. This is a Flex driver. If a uniformed, branded vehicle driver did that, chances are they would be fired. Every single day we have a meeting before we go out on our routes. And every day we are reminded to NEVER drive on anyone’s lawns or muddy driveways. If you have to walk an extra 50 yards, you walk the extra 50 yards.

Either buy some idiot attempting to turn around in my driveway and going into my yard, or by a friend or family member taking their vehicle out back to be worked on or simply taking my own vehicle out back to be worked on or simply some other random reason/thing that caused me to drive my vehicle through my yard. The folks DTE contracted to replace power poles did the same to my folk's property. Of course they needed to go on a part of the lawn to do their work, but with the pole on one side of the front lawn, right next to the driveway, then backed their rig across the entirety of the front yard, even over the septic tank (which aren't really designed to be weight bearing lol). They then slammed in the new pole, left the old one standing but disconnected, and left the neighbor's old pole across our yard and driveway! Thankfully my grandpa's old logging gear came in handy so we lashed the old pole to the tractor and dragged it off the driveway, and the contractors came back a week later to get the pole; either way though, that was almost 8 years ago now and there's still divots where the ground keeps settling lmao!
The same thing happened to me. They did a full loop in clay soil after 6 inches of rainfall in an actual Amazon van. They offered me a $500 gift card if I signed a NDA to never talk about it. UPS did this to my front yard. He did not want to carry the mini split AC unit so he made 2 nice furrows in the grass that are still there 8 years later. Sprinkling dirt and sand has not helped much.
People would park in our yard after a rain. Filling it with dirt and resodding became something we did several times a year. Each time cost about $30 to fill and sod the tire tracks. I’m a landscaper in Michigan and from what I can see in the video $300-400 is fairly close to what it would cost for smoothing that out, putting in 1 yard of top soil, and throwing down some grass seed/straw
They probably want to get reimbursed for if they decide to put down sod. I prefer the method you described better, because when it grows back, it actually blends with the yard.
Bruh this is not really a delivery driver. Its a flex driver delivering small packages in their personal vehicle's. I thought you were talking about a actual delivery driver in a box truck
It does, this is significantly different from a Corp box truck. You lead with the impress that is was Amazon itself but this is someone's personal vehicle. Get over yourself lol, lawn looks like shit anyways
What difference does it make? They drive for Amazon. It's not like the box trucks can't drive on your lawn but the flex drivers can. If anything it just goes to show that Amazon is hiring the worst of the worst which still makes it their fault.
$350 is totally reasonable. I work in construction, and I can not imagine my lawn service charging more than $200 or $300 for this. If those are 40' long, they only need 20 pieces of sod, a wheelbarrow, and a couple of scoops of shredded topsoil. A 180-piece pallate of sod from a sod farm will usually cost around $300. A good landscaper/yard company would have this done in an hour. For context: my family and friends have had multiple Amazon claims due to bad drivers. Amazon even paid one of our friends over 40k after their brick portico was deatroyed by a truck barely taller than the archway.
I was totally expecting "we are sorry sir for your trouble and have done an investigation and found we did nothing wrong. Have a nice day." So at least you had a dialog.
A few years ago I was working a seasonal job for UPS, driving my own car delivering packages, similar to the Amazon driver you encountered. I pulled into this long rural driveway and was followed by an Amazon van. I stopped behind some parked cars, but the Amazon driver pulled into the yard, and started immediately spinning his tires. The homeowner came running out screaming to stop. I delivered my package and got out of there. A few days later I returned to the house with another package. I asked how the Amazon van did. They had to have it pulled out, marked up the yard pretty good, but the biggest issue, it was on top of their septic drain field.
@@YeshuaKingMessiah seems you've never had to install septic. Here's a flash class: you put it where the county says you put it, and you dont argue. They do the perc test (look it up) and they say EXACTLY where you can and cannot put that tank and leach field. Like duh.

I did landscaping as a kid, and a buddy of mine owns his own business. We were both discussing the first vid earlier today, and he told me flat out that was a 1200, minimum, because the ground will need to be grated and re-leveled to do it right.
Thats right. Or at least tilled where the ruts are compacted, then filled, tamped, seeded, and covered. All by people using expensive equipment, who make WAY more than minimum wage. I was gonna say it's 1500.
That’s what I’m saying. The dirt that was displaced by the tires didn’t disappear, just needs to be put back in place. Hell, lay some sod with that $350 if you don’t want to wait for the grass to grow back. But, as someone that does underground utility work in people’s yards daily, we deal with people like this all the time even after our best efforts to restore what we mess up, so it’s no shock to me.

I’ve been a landscaper for basically my entire adult life. That entire area is destroyed. You will need to have it cut out and have new sod put in and then it still is going to look weird. It would take at least a day if it were me I’d be charging at the very least like 950$ and that’s just because I have my own equipment. You would need to get a sod cutter if you didn’t own one which is like 75 an hour to rent at least. But also you need better drainage for your yard. There is no reason why taking a small suv back and forth would cause that much damage, looks like a straight up semi drove on your lawn.

Previous driver trainer here. If that was a blue van/truck, they'd have either been suspended a few days, or fired from their respective delivery company (as it's a 3rd party). It was empasized that drivers not drive on property for this reason. It was also emphasized that drivers, if a home had a driveway, had to park at the start of a driveway and walk the package down. Now, as that was a flex driver, I don't know what the "training" protocol is, but f that $350, and go further. Amazon will ALWAYS try and lowball.

I hear what you all are saying, I really do. HOWEVER these fly-by-night Amazon mercenaries in personal vehicles need to have consequences for disrespecting property and so does the company. In this case in particular, there is an obvious driveway and an obvious yard area with distinct features separating the two. The drivers shouldn't be driving over on the yard area whether it resulted in damage or not. If Amazon can't control their 3rd party drivers then they need to punished monetarily each time until they get it under control.

My friend's property use to have a road going through it to connect to a main road, but that road actually ends at his gate and hasn't connect through the property in many years. But for some reason, it still showed up on the map that Amazon drivers use, and they constantly drove through his property as a short cut. They would open his front gate, then open the gate at the other end of his property to drive through. He told multiple drivers that it was private land and to stop cutting through. They called Amazon multiple times and told them the issue, and Amazon explained their map and said they would correct it. Finally his wife got fed up, and one day she heard their gate being opened and a truck driving through. She ran to the back of the property, and when the Amazon driver got to her, she was standing in the dirt road holding a shot gun. Homie quickly threw it in reverse and high-tailed it out of there. That's true .he could do it for $375. Even buy great seed from a non big box store. Rake, sand or dig dirt from somewhere spread it, now. Next year, pitch fork area or rent the pluger/areator, put down seed, cover with a thin spread of peat moss, water .done. it's his labor and time riding to get this stuff. So, I'll take $500

That's terrible. They can clearly see that will cost much more than $350.00. I wish you the best in getting compensated for the damages they caused🙏
A rake, maybe a little dirt, and some seed to match the rest of that fully landscaped yard.
shovel, bucket and yes. plus the money to do it all
Shovel- $20
Seed- $30 Scott's turf
HD Orange bucket- $5
That's all the money needed. Why a bucket? Maybe you got bowel problems. But that's $55, a flat area so I'll add a rake because why not maybe you don'town one with all that land yet... $20
75 bucks. I get being mad, I'd be upset as all heck and I would ask for a reimbursement. But let's be honest skilled labor that is not, my kids could do it while you sip your beer and take $200 real quick from a person like yourself. @@jasonemmettmyers If time is important to you, you wouldnt take time out of your day to fix this on your own. Do you know how long it would take (and how difficult it would be) to cut all that sod out, get new sod, cut that up, and replace it? The time alone to do all that as someone who isnt a professional landscaper is worth way more than $350 (at least if youre employed, have a life, etc..). Amazon should ask for estimates from landscapers in his area, make sure theyre legit. and pay what they quote. I'm dealing with this right now with the USPS - they destroyed a piece of my lawn by driving on it. Could i fix it? Yeah. But why should i? Theyre the ones that did wrong. They're paying the cost for the landscapers to fix it, because theyre not getting any time or money out of me. And frankly, they should pay interest - i should be billing them just for all the time ive spent administratively having to deal with them to get reimbursed.
Thanks for that!
What would we do without our Amazon deliveries?! 😂😂😂
We had a heavy delivery truck backup in our front yard, left tire tracks deep in the yard. We just flattened it, add some dirt, grass seed, and bam after a while back to normal. We didn't even complain to the company.

That was the last Amazon truck that tried cutting through their land.
Similar situation and it’s a good solution
That's a lie
They couldn’t lock it or make a new gate by the road?
