Question, do you think, that J. K. Rowling got the idea for Horcuxes from J. R. R. Tolkein's the Fellowship of the Ring? Consider, the Dark Lord, (wink) had his body destroyed, but much of his strength was bound to the ring, and thus his spirit endured. Only by destroying the Ring can he be finally vanquished. Sounds a little too similar doesn't it?

“HOW DO YOU MISPLACE A STAIRCASE?!” Never thought I’d hear Ben Carlin talking about the Titanic during a Disney theory but that is now one of my favorite Ben Carlin quotes!! 😂😂😂
I love this story (how Frozen solved the mystery, not necessarily the incident itself, although it is fascinating). As a forensics major and Disney nerd, this is right up my alley!
I didn’t even want a Toy Story 4 I can’t believe they’re doing number 5. The story is beyond completely told already, I hope they create a new cast of characters and a whole new story. Or a woodys roundup origin story like you said. I can’t stand seeing beloved characters run into the ground just for money anymore.
I feel the same way about Frozen III. Let the characters rest. I'd be fine with the world being expanded, showing what's going on with another character somewhere else with the same magic/rules of magic
I thought 4 was great, but I don't need another one. I definitely want a Woody's Roundup movie, which I'm hoping this eventually gets redeveloped into, even if Tim Allen's already coming back.
Another fascinating thing about the incident is how easily nature can completely obliterate our expectations. Just when we think something isn't possible, nature shows us up in spectacular fashion.
i always love those nature and biology stories where things are basicly impossible, but there is that one case. like you normally dont survive a metal pole through your neck, but that is that one case
I love both of those channels! There's also a 2-part episode of Expedition Unknown that covers the incident, evaluating the likelihood of each main theory with a trip to the locations involved.
Didn’t she also say that to make the ground even enough to sleep on, they had to remove snow from the spot the set up the tent which also contributed to the avalanche? Or did I just mentally add that in at some point?
This is pretty awesome. I thought this would be a "Hey, did you see the strange drawing on the wall with the trolls that really is a symbol in real life for a sunken ship..." and you were going to go off about how the rock trolls were secret murderers. I'm glad it was something totally unexpected.
I've heard of this event before; back then though the theory was that they just went mad from hypothermia. it is indeed a much more plausible idea that a very small avalanche caused them to become disoriented in the middle of the night, than for a group of experienced hikers to ALL forget what to do in the extreme cold at the same time.
I love this video and this different type of content for you guys! I love hearing about movie production and film techniques and hearing you dive into it with a mature and compelling story is incredible i hope to see more stuff like this in the future

@@Silverheart575 good question friend!! (I’m putting my criminal justice degree to good use here haha) to answer your question: I consider it true crime because of the question and theories of the reason they died. A lot of studying crime has to do with investigating the cause and manner of death whenever a death is suspicious, even if it looks clear cut at first glance. Due to the crush injuries of the victims, that is enough suspicion to investigate the deaths of the victims and try to come up with a plausible explanation for how and why they died.
I have to say, that I would not have expected a video about the Dyatlov Pass incident on the Carlins channel. I have watched a number of videos on the subject and I lean towards the explanation that it was a snow slide (low intensity avalanche) resulting from the wind conditions that impacted and partially collapsed their tent. Fearing that a second slide could occur, the hikers cut their way out and sought protection in the treeline about a mile away. But from that point, it was only a matter of time before hypothermia set in. The radioactivity found on a couple of the members was probably related to their university work in the nuclear engineering department. The blunt-force trauma injuries were a combination of the original slide in addition to impact injuries received by several members that fell down a snow covered ravine near the treeline. The missing organs were a result of scavengers. No UFOs, yetis, attacks by locals, or military cover-ups (even though this was the Cold War Soviet Union). Just a combination of bad timing and a few poor choices. But often that's all it takes...
What a sad story. I feel bad for the last person to die. He was clearly traumatized before he finally passed on. He had to watch all his friends die and probably suffered frostbite only for hypothermia to get him in the end. I imagine he gave up. 😢
one thing missed here is that the group also did something fairly common among hikers in snow, they cut out a bit of the snow wall to then build their tents under. making a sort of "snow shelf" helps to block the wind and keep the inside warmer, but it does increase the likelihood of a collapse of snow as all the weight is now on that shelf, and much like holding your arm out with a glass of water, you're fine at first but over time it gets harder and harder to do. eventually, like the snow, you will collapse, and it's now believed that that's what caused the small avalanche that killed them. it wasn't just a "freak accident" and random snowfall that just happened to hit them, but their own doing.

I've learned about the Dyatlov pass incident when Josh Gates from expedition unknown recreated their journey for the 60th anniversary(I think? I might be wrong) and explored the theories as to what happened. If this subject interests you, I suggest you look at the two part tv show.
This is the second video I've seen on this incident and how the movie Frozen helped. The other one is from a year ago on the Why Files channel. Both are really good videos but definitely with totally different vibes.
Never thought I'd see the day where SCB would cover a mystery like this. I highly recommend Nick Crowley's video on this. So weird how 2 of my favourite channels have combined with this, despite the wide range in content lol.
That sounds like one of those "domino-memes": Hans Christian Andersen publishing his fairy tale "The Snow Queen" in 1844 -> Disney adapting that fairy tale in their movie "Frozen" in 2013 -> Disney having to create a new software to animate snow -> A crime from 1927 being solved.
My favourite fact about 3D is that some groundbreaking technology was invented and is used today by big companies purely because people needed some R34 material for a certain character (can't remember which one)
12:35 that photo is actually of one of their group playing a prank on them, I’ve seen people try to use it as “”proof”” that there was a big foot hunting them or that it was a member of the military that was tailing them but it’s just one of them been funny.
1:48 one of the body’s the coroner said looked like it have been hit by a car going at full speed but yet showed no sign of external damage, some of the more odd and gruesome states the body’s were in was likely predatation (as I can’t get the spelling right, predators eating them) reports also say that radiation was found on them that shouldn’t be there but that could probably be explained away as we know one of the lads worked on nuclear reactors so it could be cross contamination. All in all there are so meny things about this case that don’t fit neatly into any of the explanations be they rational or outlandish.
This murder sounds like one of those episodes in murder mystery shows where they have some bizarre murder and they have to hire the really smart person to solve the murder
My favorite fun fact about movies helping real world learning is how Interstellar's black hole furthered real science about black holes. I always tell it to everyone I can when we watch the movie XD
Ominous geographical names don't necessarily mean anything. I've been all over Froze-to-Death Plateau in Montana, and no one in my group died. Though there was that one buddy of mine who became delirious with the altitude and then started peeing blood. But they took him down to the lake and he was fine after that. The rest of us got through that blizzard perfectly fine, thanks to Keith Green and Kermit the Frog. And we too saw a yeti. If there MUST be a fifth Toy Story, I petition for it to be about someone OTHER than Woody for a change. And at this point, Toy Story has become the Disney Land Before Time. But we all knew about Frozen 3 from the start. However, I VERY much doubt it will be even remotely like the original film writers imagined when they dreamed up that trilogy. Also, I sincerely hope it stays a trilogy.
Also with Titanic, it was thanks to the filming of the sinking sequences that they figured out why the passengers didn't initially realise that the ship was sinking. You'd think you'd notice that your ship was down by the bow 6 degrees, but because it happened so gradually, and because everyone was busy doing other things, people just didn't notice. It wasn’t until they got off the ship in the lifeboats that they saw it. It's kind of like when you're in the thick of a challenging time, it can seem like you're stuck. But then when someone shows you the situation from another perspective, you see things differently.
A potentially life saving tip for people if you're ever in somewhere cold and begin to feel warm do NOT take off any piece of your clothing! Hypothermia causes your body to desperately try to keep you warm by dilating your blood vessels which can make you feel like you're over heating. You are not. You are freezing and removing clothing will only help freeze you faster.
soooo at 0:10 to 0:11 there's a...warning? "Universe is unlicensed" "In order to keep using this product without interruption, please activate a license" Not sure if this is meant to be there or if it's a ARG thing, just thought you guys should now just in case 👌
This video definitely falls into the category of something that I didn't think I needed to watch, but holy cow I am glad that I did. This was part classic SCB, part Myth Busters, part History (how about that for a venn diagram right there). Would certainly be interested if you guys have any more of these up your sleeves.
I remember seeing a theory video about this where the narrator guessed that there was a fire and in a poor attempt to flee it some got lost in the dark snowstorm. I think it's still plausible. I mean if someone knocked over the lamp and the resulting fire caused someone to scream, that could cause an avalanche that then buried them all in snow. Also i remember the video mentioning that they didn't all flee the same direction. Maybe only a few were quick and lucky enough to avoid being crushed into their skis, but instead got swept away and ended up lost. Although if the avalanche happened spontaneously due to coincidental environmental circumstances, it could trap them with the lamp which then spread a fire, it'd explain the blinded ones.
I mis interpreted the video title and legit thought that this would be an inside the pixar universe theory video. How Frozen proves who killed Tarzans grandfather or something like that. Still, I was not disappointed. Really interesting video!
Great video, guys! Very unexpected to see such topic on your channel! But the last name Дятлов is pronounced "D YA T LOVE"😊 Glad seeing you experiment with content!
WoW a very weird and strange video! I am not so sure it is content I care to review, but I do appreciate the thoroughness you show in researching the topics! Well done.
Wow, I knew enough about this story that I immediately knew which case you were going to talk about before you said it, but I truly never expected it to be "solved", or ever expected to fins out from this channel. Has anyone notified Kendall & Josh about this??
This was so interesting! I usually watch your videos without commenting because I don't have anything noteworthy to say, but I just wanted to let you know just how cool it was to hear about this mystery that Frozen helped to solve! The only thing I would probably change is the "MURDER" in the title, because well, it wasn't a murder, but an unfortunate accident. Otherwise, great video!
I think when the trolls says that when it's hard to heal a frozen heart they're not talking about a magically frozen heart, a frozen heart can also mean a unfeeling heart. I think that they are talking about Elsa's insulation, where she is trying to freeze her feelings to protect those around her, like her sister, not doing what she wants. She's instead holes up in her room, and i think that when Anna is frozen, Elsa's heart is unfrozen. Just know whether it is the trolls scheme or a coincidence.
My favorite story of movies advancing science is Jurassic Park. Spielberg wanted the most accurate dinosaurs possible, so the effects team consulted with paleontologists. And in turn, the paleontologists realized that a blockbuster movie had way more funding than their regular college paleontology departments, so they used their budget to do research they could never have afforded otherwise! And that's how we got the most accurate dinos as of the time when Jurassic Park came out
My guess is in toy story 5 it'll have something to do with toys of the rest of the characters from lightyear, bit of a shot in the dark but, it'd make sense
Ahhhhhh, I had never heard of the Dyatlov Pass Incident until last year and now this is the 3rd time I've heard it mentioned. Psyched to hear this connection.
I was literally talking about this with my child the other day. We were watching something about the Dylayov Pass the other day and I told him that they think Frozen solved it. Before you ask, he’s almost a teenager, so the Dylatov Pass is age appropriate lol
Ive heard this story before, but its so cool hearing you tell it because you guys always talk about fantasy but this one actually happened! Love this channel 🖤

I was wrong. This story is awesome and one of your best works.
This is the coolest video you guys have ever made. Please do more as they come up!
I've learned about the Dyatlov pass incident when Josh Gates from expedition unknown recreated their journey for the 60th anniversary(I think? I might be wrong) and explored the theories as to what happened. If this subject interests you, I suggest you look at the two part tv show.
This was so interesting. I’d love to see more of this kind of content!!
This was not what I expected and I am here for it! Truely Fascinating.
I really hope Toy Story 5 is going to be a prequel that tells the story of what happened to Andy‘s Dad and whether he handed down Woody to Andy.
I’m sorry I completely understand the whole way the end explanation works but how did the avalanches rip a man’s tongue out
12:30 it was clearly that they were attacked by a team of radioactive ninja bears
Not even 3 minutes into the video, and legitimately obsessed with this content already
"Universe is unlicensed" Is my favorite part
Zootopia is such an underrated gem of a movie. Im stoked about a sequel! 🖤
Wow, not the type of video I necessarily expected from SCB, but absolutely love!
I love your channel so much! thanks for making such great youtube videos.
Have you ever thought about doing Wings of Fire?
OMG that would be AMAZING
That would be literally legendary!
My daughter would never leave the channel if they did add WoF to the list.
At 6:12 i swear i just thought "Eh.... Classic video game line.... Wait.... This is real life we're talking about.... ARE WE IN A SIMULATION?!" x'D
What a treat getting to hear "HEY BROTHER!" in the intro
Once you throw believability out of the window, what you have left is unbelievable.
Theory idea: dementors are dead obscuri
This is super interesting! I think it would be cool if you guys made more videos like this
soooo at 0:10 to 0:11 there's a...warning?
"Universe is unlicensed"
"In order to keep using this product without interruption, please activate a license" Not sure if this is meant to be there or if it's a ARG thing, just thought you guys should now just in case 👌
I independently knew about this and let me say Ben did a really good job. He left out nothing that was relevant to the Frozen 2 connection.
I hope Toy Story 5 is a prequel or spin off because otherwise I don’t know what it would be
I mis interpreted the video title and legit thought that this would be an inside the pixar universe theory video. How Frozen proves who killed Tarzans grandfather or something like that.
Still, I was not disappointed. Really interesting video!
Of all the things I expected when I clicked on this video, connecting Frozen and the Dyatlov Pass incident was not among them.
This is a fantastic video!!! Any possibility of more of these vids?
Great video, guys! Very unexpected to see such topic on your channel!
But the last name Дятлов is pronounced "D YA T LOVE"😊
Glad seeing you experiment with content!
Ask a mortician covered this and it's a wild story. It's good that more people are seeing this bit of history.
There’s a pretty good indie horror movie about this that involves one of the conspiracies around the incident. Devil’s Pass is the name.
I originally thought that the cause of death for those 9 team members was cannibalism.
This was different in a really great way, loved it!
Absolutely wild!
This was such an interesting video! Would love more of these!
I would love to see more mystery videos like this!
Ahhhhhh, I had never heard of the Dyatlov Pass Incident until last year and now this is the 3rd time I've heard it mentioned. Psyched to hear this connection.
I’m pretty sure Hagrid could confirm that there was a giant war at Dead Mountain in the 50s.
This was different but really cool. Thanks for the information.
Have you seen the clip after the credits for the movie Big Hero six? If so do you think they were setting up a sequel?
I was literally talking about this with my child the other day. We were watching something about the Dylayov Pass the other day and I told him that they think Frozen solved it. Before you ask, he’s almost a teenager, so the Dylatov Pass is age appropriate lol
Didn't they also announce inside out 2 on Twitter?
This is a very unique cool SuperCarlinBrothers video! Very interesting
There’s no chance you’ll talk about it, but I hope you’re having a blast plying HL.
Ive heard this story before, but its so cool hearing you tell it because you guys always talk about fantasy but this one actually happened! Love this channel 🖤
