Nah Wings of Astel still makes it obsolete. The version of Nebula might do more damage and have a bit more range but the cast time is also longer and the move set of the Bastard's Star sucks compared to Wings along with the damage + the R2.

I have noticed not all attribute scaling is the same, some weapons with lower scaling had more damage than weapons with higher scaling. I wonder if its the same with that axe.
Thank you for doing this. Trying to figure out which remembrances to duplicate isn't easy. Edit-I agree with your list with the exceptions of Malenia's and Malekith's. I'd put Melania's as a B due to all the reasons you listed + the fact that the weapon art doesn't have crap for hyper armor. I'd put Malekith's as S because it's the highest AR weapon I have on my build (& I have them all).
Mogwyn spear is phenomenal I love it and on mimic tear summon man it is very good throw blasphemous on your back and a fingerprint shield so you can do sword and spear so fun
I only PVE and when I got that pitchfork, it changed the game for me so much. So many options when using it and they are all fun. I love standing behind a shield and poking mobs in the face. When I am in an area with a lot of enclosed spaces, I use that ash of war to melt mobs around corners and through walls. SO FUN!
So bummed that almost all the weapons I'm the most interested in playing with were in C tier and lower. I super duper hope FS helps out the strength weapons such as axes and flails and fists, etc. Like why isn't can't we have an axe of some kind as badass as the Melania one. Also noticing it seems most boss wapons have lower AR, but cooler ashes of war. Guess that was their way of balancing them out :/
It’s just one persons opinion, ive personally had great experiences with some of the weapons that were ranked low on this list. So don’t let it rain on your parade too hard!
Radahn's rain consume 32 FP, when rain of arrows on greatbow, its ash of war version only consume 20FP; the 20% damage buff when using radahn's spear does not apply to its weapon art, quite disappointing.
Bastard stars does an almost 360 degree high power weapon art, on par with wings. It can't be parried and does silly stamina damage. Best scaling o f all the flails I reckon. It's a total failure?
the wing of astel isn't a boss weapon. You find it in one of the caves on the way to astel. The other option from the remembrance is the "waves of darkness" ash of war.
I see a few of these weapons used in PvP, but a couple I NEVER see are Maliketh’s Black Blade, Godrick and Godfrey’s Axe, Marika’s Hammer, the axe you get from the Regal Ancestor Spirit Remembrance, and the Grafted Dragon. It’s shocking that nobody (at least in PvP) uses Marika’s Hammer. The Ash of War on it can be so useful and catch so many people off guard. And it’s not a bad weapon in general.
The Hand of Malenia outclasses most other katanas in terms of damage despite having lower dex scaling since its base damage is higher. It's either the highest or the second highest damaging katana. It's not clear as you can't really compare it with the split damage from the meteoric ore blade. At the same time it's also the second longest katana.
I would adore more of these for Elden Ring stuff!! Not just focusing on meta, but also entertainment values on stuff. Heck, I'd watch a tier list of favorite areas in the game!
Morgotts sword SHREDS in pvp. It’s ash of war has hauler armor all the way until around the time you would get back into the afk position of holding it
Cragblade is A tier at least, the only reason other HTWs could better is because they can cause status effects. It’s can be used with shields and it’s ash of war can be almost instantaneous. it’s versatile in both PvP and PvE
Can confirm, great combo. The blasphemous blade is insanely strong with a great ash of war and the sword of Milos has a nice move set with the ash of war. Swing them both or switch back and forth and two hand them separately to really mess with people. It’s an amazing setup if you like options. I also run a black knife in the right hand and a clawmark seal in the left hand. Golden vow + grant me strength + fire crystal tear and you will easily one shot people in pvp with a jumping L1.
I still think that radahns swords should have the dual moveset in L1 and the single moveset in R1. It just makes the weapon more suited for some tricky situations. Also feel like the dual wield R2 should have been taken from radahns gravity sword attacks in phase 2. Still love the weapon but a missed opportunity.
All the boss weapons are missed opportunity, when the boss use them, they are godtier, when you use them has the same bored moveset that the rest of the game weapons...
My favorite remembrance weapon and also the weapon I’ve used the most overall aside from Yura’s katana. I do agree that the strong attack is a missed opportunity
Wow, you did an awesome job on these ratings! I love the way you explain yourself and why you rated them the way you did, I really love the Black Blade especially for dragons, but great job!!
If you're playing Astrologer then you will undoubtedly want to get the Meteorite Staff first then beeline it to the Magic Academy. Acquire the Carian Regal Staff and immediately upgrade it to the max (+10). Go get spells and memory slots and have fun! Eventually acquire Lusat's and the talisman that lowers FP cost for spells. The Staff of Loss used in the offhand when casting Night Comet is highly recommended. Edit - Use your left hand as the main hand because there are some weird interactions that make spells do more damage or cost no FP. My right hand was either Moonveil, Staff of Loss or Sacrificial Axe with Hoarfrost Stomp on it.
I got to say I agree to grafted dragon in the middle of C tier, it a very nice early game weapon that still has potential in mid to early late game with many big bosses you can stand under that ash of war can deal some seriously good damage The only down side is that you can't two hand it but that's a easy fix by getting a different fist weapon and power stance with those till New Game+ and get a second one (if that's what you wanna go for)
My very first bloodborne build was a bleeding whip build using dual hoslow whips which Quickstep and S rank arcane scaling. I managed to kill malenia without a summon thanks to them. Whenever the dlc comes out I'd love more whips
well best staff in the game if you got higher lvl "the true end game" staff is the prince of death staff, and awesome tier list btw, i know everyone might have slight difference but overall this is a good list, keep up the good work!
My S Tier would likely go as follows: Blasphemous Blade, Marika's Hammer, Moghwyn's Spear, Renalla's Staff (I forget the name) and Morgott's Cursed Sword (it's good in PVP).
I think something they could've done with Morgott's Cursed Sword is something similar to Dark Moon Greatsword: the Ash of War is actually Bloodflame Blade but the R2 is Cursed-Blood Slice and if you hold it you get the entire animation. Might sound a little too OP for some but I really like Morgott as a character and boss and it's just sad that his weapon isn't as great as it could be but the same can be said of many boss weapons.
Godfrey axe is underrated, there is a delay on the ash of war that can punish aggressive enemys, the poise is also insane, really easy to punish players and can break stances easily
Cragblade would be A tier for me if it didn’t whiff so much with the ash of war and if it’s neutral moveset could actually hit smaller enemies first try
Only thing I can see myself seriously changing is switching Maliketh's Black Blade with Dragon King's Cragblade. As someone who's used it a lot, the hyperarmor on Destined Death is rarely consequential because the Skill itself is held back by being _very_ slow and having an exorbitant FP cost. So, you're otherwise locked into the Ultra Greatsword moveset which isn't the best. The AR is very high even for its lower speed, and the weapon thematically is still extremely cool, but I don't know that those alone make an A-Rank weapon. Conversely, Dragon King's Cragblade gets very good AR, decent reach for its speed, and has Heavy Thrust Sword Running R2's which are of course good. It has elemental damage for chipping through shields while still being primarily physical to benefit from Piercing weapon Counter damage boosts, and a solid Ash of War in PvP because of how easy it is to catch people with it in trades. On top of all of that, it gets something really high like a hidden +30% damage boost against Dragon-type enemies, similar to other weapons made of dragon parts/related to dragons (ex. Icerind Hatchet.) I feel like it just gets underused by virtue of A: being a nearly Pure Dex weapon, and B: Heavy Thrust Swords being seen as a "lame" weapon category in general, especially compared to all of the cool other shit Dex builds might potentially have access to (ex. Bolt of Gransax, which is similar and available much earlier.)
I personally put Starscourge Greatsword into the S category because of the AR, the jump attacks now getting buffed correctly by claw talisman/ raptor's Feathers, and the "good enough" hyper armor on the ash to be able to time it. I notice I'm only bumped out of the animation by knock down effects, but I can take a few regular hits without issue. In an int/str build I put together, I only need 13 mind (88 fp) and a Filigreed Crest to get 3 full casts (implosion + explosion) of the ash, which was weird to me when I discovered it because I was 2fp under what the displayed costs would suggest. The game allows a little rounding up it seems
I picked up the game because of how cool malekith looked and I’m completely happy with my strength faith build using the black blade incantation and the sword itself
Its amazing how each person can differ in opinion on what class each weapon should fall under. Depending on set up, build, play style etc I have maxed out so many recommended weapons but just kept returning to bloodhound fang which obviously suited me perfectly, I was shocked to not see it in the list but understand it's not for everyone. I actually sold mohgs spear I thought it was that bad and now thinking I did a stupid!! Going through second playthrough now so will experiment a bit maybe.
Bastards stars should’ve had a unique charged attack like the wing of astel. It should’ve summoned a meteor that comes from the void for the first charged attack and for the second charged attack it could summon three large meteors from the void that land as soon as the charged attack hits with a decent sized AoE. So many special weapons that should’ve had either different movesets all together or different abilities.
Mohg's spear my only point of contention is during it you're a free target for incantations or sorcs or projectile based ash's of war. But it's normals are great and have decent hyper armor. Def a fun weapon but being reliant on the ash of war can def get you killed in pvp quite often.
I made short work out out the old "sword of mikela" ( or however you spell it) along with the mimic with moths pickle fork. Chewed her up surprisingly well. Kinda passed of my brother who had to suffer through her 100's of times and he ended up calling in about 3 other players which made taking her out with only the trusty mimic as backup quite satisfying. I utilized a few suggestions from this channel as well so thanks a ton guys! Keep up the good work! 🔥🤘🏻💀🤘🏻🔥

Agree with everything except the cursed sword, that sword is so damn powerful if you build it right, I suck at soul like games and that weapon carried me through the entire "second half" of the game
the Bastard's Stars is pretty good, its just very niche. flails suck, until they dont and u go against an enemy that is weak to strike dmg, the Bastard's Stars is just a flail that int builds can use and get a bit more out of it then the regular flail. and plus it's an int weapon that isnt moonveil so thats gotta count for somthing
Rating Bastard Star F just bc another similar better weapon exists is a bit unfair. By that logic Pretty much all of these are Fs unless they are best in their weapon class.
17:03 it is actually the 3rd best. Out of his own video. But the most practical. The best staff needs int AND faith and the 2nd best makes all sorceries cost more FP.

The Winged Great horn I think should be in C. I have a strength character and I dual wielded great axes. The move set was fun and having this to debuff the enemies was great. I also like the design, yes small detail. Yes it's damage is lower than it should be, but I do believe how it performs should get it up one rank.
Bastard's Stars is quite a bit better in PvP than you give it credit for. The delay, oversized hitbox, and advancing sweep all can create huge spacing opportunities if you pair it either extra fast sorceries (Glintstone Shard/Carian Slicer) or other, slower, setup pieces (the Moons, terrain control like Freezing Mist).
I feel like a staff and a greatsword in S is indicative of those play styles. Definitely the strongest thing you can do in game right now are mage or greatsword user. Especially feeling it now that I’m running a whip build.
Haslow's Whip is amazing with a Frost Imbue, it makes it deal Frost and Bleed and it attacks fast with long range, so freaking good, I use it to kill Malenia easily.
The Wing of Astel isn't a boss weapon. You find it in one of the caves on the way to astel. The other option from the remembrance is the "waves of darkness" ash of war.
My ranks are S tier for all: because style before stats and Elden Ring's got loads of stylish weapons I wish I had RL cosplay versions of. Edit: Something that I think may help improve Marika's Hammer and the Sacred Relic Sword may be to give their heavy attacks additional effects like the Wing of Astel and the Ruins Greatsword. The hammer creates a golden shockwave and the sword has a golden lightwave similar to the Moonlight. The sword especially would become an excellent ranged and melee weapon like it is for the Elden Beast: having the lightwaves and Wave of Gold to attack at a distance, fitting of a god's weapon.

Wing is better overall because it actually has a place in PvP, but Bastards Stars is actually pretty solid in PvE, and worth more than the 30k runes you can cash it in for if you’re an Int build. It isn’t S tier, but a decent B, IMO.
Nah Wings of Astel still makes it obsolete. The version of Nebula might do more damage and have a bit more range but the cast time is also longer and the move set of the Bastard's Star sucks compared to Wings along with the damage + the R2.
I want some more debuff stuff, like a water incantation that makes enemies take more damage to lighting
I'm a big fan of using Morgott's sword with Mohg's bloodboon incantation because the ash of war has that bloodflame effect that matches with the incantation. Doesn't feel like a super great pair or anything i just really like how it looks
See the whip argument regarding bleed can be said for basically every weapon
Godricks axe is actually really good, one of the best options for a 2H Str/Dex build. And the ash of war can hit people through walls, which makes it really fun for invasions. I’d give it at least a C.
I have noticed not all attribute scaling is the same, some weapons with lower scaling had more damage than weapons with higher scaling. I wonder if its the same with that axe.
as someone who adores gauntlets i wish we had Alexander's stone fist with his fire uppercut ash of war
Yup I agree. Mals sword is my strongest option
L

@@joshmay2944 *sniff* ... thank you...
Just play with what you want. These lists are ultimately meaningless. Everything is viable.
I completely agree I personally like it way better then wings. And get better attack power then the winged blade
The Bastard's Stars isn't as good because it's so slow, but it does do stupid damage with a wider arc than Wing, so it's only slightly worse.
I had to comment about this weapon as well. It's a nice strike option for mages, looks awesome and the AoW is fantastic..
Maliketh's Blade is an insane PVE weapon, the %damage plus the max health reduce melts bosses
It gets even better if you summon black knife Tiche on top of that.
The black knife dagger which you can get way before maliketh is just as good
I ran a Maliketh cosplay char with that sword and armor (though, with Blaidd's head), loved it. And i really like it's special, looks too cool.
18:15 we just gonna gloss over the guy that uses madness in his build is H.P. Lovecraft...what a genius idea.
I honestly agree with this tier list and i think bastard's star should have it's place taken by wing of astel
Right? That's my go to weapon for spelunking and smashing the crystal gaurdians.
the wing of astel isn't a boss weapon. You find it in one of the caves on the way to astel. The other option from the remembrance is the "waves of darkness" ash of war.
@@ShadowNemesis575 he’s trying to say Wing of Astel should be the boss weapon instead of Bastards stars.
@@Itachi-xi9sl thanks
Ya but the bleed sucks and the special is lackluster
Agreed, I run that scepter with the Darkmoon sword currently in my main hand and it absolutely wrecks.
18:52 .... your free aim and timing was on point ! :o
I would adore more of these for Elden Ring stuff!! Not just focusing on meta, but also entertainment values on stuff. Heck, I'd watch a tier list of favorite areas in the game!
I used the blasphemous sword and used the dung waters sword with it and honestly it’s was really fun
I pretty much agree with the list I’m gonna power stance with the blasphemous blade and the DungEater sword..could be a good combo
I got to say I agree to grafted dragon in the middle of C tier, it a very nice early game weapon that still has potential in mid to early late game with many big bosses you can stand under that ash of war can deal some seriously good damage
The only down side is that you can't two hand it but that's a easy fix by getting a different fist weapon and power stance with those till New Game+ and get a second one (if that's what you wanna go for)
Best weapon combo personally is blasphemous blade + the final boss weapon. Straight tank setup
Morgotts sword in pvp has incredible mix-up potential
I think something they could've done with Morgott's Cursed Sword is something similar to Dark Moon Greatsword: the Ash of War is actually Bloodflame Blade but the R2 is Cursed-Blood Slice and if you hold it you get the entire animation. Might sound a little too OP for some but I really like Morgott as a character and boss and it's just sad that his weapon isn't as great as it could be but the same can be said of many boss weapons.
Blasphemous Blade with Str+Fai build and subsequent buffs really carried me through Radagon, Elden Beast and Melania.
Godfrey axe is underrated, there is a delay on the ash of war that can punish aggressive enemys, the poise is also insane, really easy to punish players and can break stances easily
I applaud you for still being able to squeeze out content for this game, since you make soooooo many videos for it lol.
it would also be cool iif you made a tier list of all the other things you can get instead of the weapons from rememberances
The game allows a little rounding up it seems
finished the game for the first maining morgot's sword. such a fun weapon
Next video same thing but for the sorceries and incantations? I'd love to see that
I picked up the game because of how cool malekith looked and I’m completely happy with my strength faith build using the black blade incantation and the sword itself
Going through second playthrough now so will experiment a bit maybe.
ofc its not on list
Bastards stars should’ve had a unique charged attack like the wing of astel. It should’ve summoned a meteor that comes from the void for the first charged attack and for the second charged attack it could summon three large meteors from the void that land as soon as the charged attack hits with a decent sized AoE.
So many special weapons that should’ve had either different movesets all together or different abilities.
Could have easily been done. They already have it with the sword of night flame and moonveil
* mogh's
The blasphemous blade is the weapon i used to beat Godfrey, Radagon, and the Elden Beast; really powerful weapon. The funny thing is, it not even fully upgraded when i used it, it was only at +9.
ace bro. thanks for these. the middle top one i want to use next.
what armor set did you use in the first wing of astel clip
*me over here at level 250 with 80int/80faith doing a metric ton more dmg with Prince of Death staff over my Carian Regal Scepter* 👀 that A scaling in both is nutty
Nice (haven’t finish the game so I just leave my like)
👍
Pretty sure he specified pure INT staff when he said that.
@@LuckyLuch1 hier, I searched for the video I meant:
ua-cam.com/video/EZJMQ-E4kxc/v-deo.html
For pure INT Staffs he is right with it being the 2nd best, but it is still the most useful of the bunch.
I somehow missed the rest of his sentence, once I heard 2nd best.
Which is rendering my comment moot.
I busted out Radahn’s bow for the Astel space bugs and it SHREDS.
Weapons like this is what makes me believe this game is meant to be played at a meta level of 200-250.
I best the elden beast 10 minutes ago at level 130
I will say, using giants braid whip with a cold infused hoslows petal whip can make for some fun combinations, even if it's far from meta
I’m so glad y’all did this video! I watch the build videos all the time, so I have some mad respect for you opinions. More tier videos, please! Y’all are the voices I actually care about when it comes to this stuff anyway. Well you and Domstastic, if y’all know that guy. 😝
Morgott and Maliketh (Who I share the same name just without eth) were my favorite bosses and I use both their weapons in pve and pvp, very fun!
That staff is best if you want to invade or co op, you can spam alot if combined with the talisman that reduces fp cost
The look of that last build was awesome
When I was wondering when the next Video comming out, and Bam!! There it is.
One thing to say about the dragon head is that you get a shit ton of poise/hyper armor on the ash.
Personally the moghs spear is the best boss weapon, but I am a bleed build, and before anyone says anything I was using bleed way before the buff, ive always been a bleed guy. Moghs spear is just so fun. Also please add a mogh helmet
Ratio + bleeds been op since day one 🤓

yeah, i definitely wouldnt use godrick's axe in pvp, but damn is it fun using it against npc invaders
I personally like Godrick weapon just for the ashes of war names alone. I scream the name everytime I cast it. I can't be the only one doing that. The name is just so cool with the powerful animation. I want to go back to Elden Ring and tried out more bosses weapons.
I do this too. Command Thee Kneel also feels so epic and powerful, I could care less about dmg if I look and feel incredibly cool!
The Winged Great horn I think should be in C. I have a strength character and I dual wielded great axes. The move set was fun and having this to debuff the enemies was great. I also like the design, yes small detail. Yes it's damage is lower than it should be, but I do believe how it performs should get it up one rank.
Loving the weapons tier list! I like using malekith blade and rykard blade
I have three characters.. My blood build & my Fell Omen/Morgott build are super fun damn do I love utilizing the grafted dragon on my strength build.
I like using the Sacred Relic Sword with the Darkness Incantation, followed up with Giant's Flame Take Thee. It's hilarious to see people panic XD
Nice vid, man.
The Cragblade should be at least A tier, its very good in pvp. It has great range, amazing moveset (especially that running R2), and you can trade for days with that AoW
I’m pretty sure if the starscourge greatswords ash of war won’t get interrupted, it would be s tier
