How to replace the fuse on a Megahome water distiller

- Learn how to change a water distiller fuse with this video.
To replace the fuse you will need an 8 mm spanner and needle nose pliers.
1. Firstly, remove the bolt and washer on the bottom of your megahome distiller.
2. Pull the bottom plate up with your fingers. If the plate is stiff, gently bash the sides of the distiller to release it.
3. Take a photo with your phone to remember which wires go where.
4. Remove the existing fuse using needle nose pliers and replace it with the new fuse.
5. Once the new fuse is in, replace the lid.

My distiller stopped working altogether after almost 3 years daily service. It wouldn't power on, but the lid was still working with the fan unit. I guessed the fuse could be the issue and purchased a new one from the website. I'm happy to say after following these instructions that it successfully worked and so I shall be buying a spare fuse should it fail again in future. Thank you for not charging the earth for this part.

Where can you buy a fuse? And is it a one size fits all standard fuse system? This video was well done. I have a vevor water distiller and looks like this could be the main issue as to why it won't turn on

If these people have truly closed down, it wouldn't surprise me. I bought my distiller based on great reviews. After 13 months, the distiller has stopped working and I am very angry. Now I know why my phone calls were never responded to. I have gotten so used to drinking daily distilled water, I cannot see myself drinking another type of water. Their stupid machine is bloody expensive for it to have worked for just one year.
Unbelievable, that a company Megahome whose products are so expensive, does not respond to requests from people who want to purchase directly from it its most expensive water purifier. I'm just thinking about what happens to those who have already bought from Megahome a distiller, and they need the company's service: do they answer inquiries? I'm in Doubt.

Hi, my Megahome distiller keeps tripping out after a long period of not being used. I assume it needs a new replacement lid rather than just a fuse change? Are you able to assess for repair if I send it to you please?
Most likely, what happened to your's is similar to what happened to my electric water distiller (not this brand). The connection at the power switch burned out. Remove the base cover and look for any scorched areas or smell for burnt components. But, honestly, after seeing this teardown from the company, I am concerned that there isn't a thermal cutoff sensor attached to the hot plate. An electrical fuse is not a decent replacement for that sensor.
Don't you have customer service? Are your salespeople not working? I sent you an email. I sent a request from the website. I sent a message on messenger. You don't respond. What happens to customers who need your service?

Yes they have terrible service. They NEVER answer the phone. There are other brands that offer the exact distiller. My next ones will be another brand.

My Megahome distillers fan doesnt turn on, the bottom just warms up then cools but no water drips out. the fan tuned on the first time i plugged it in (without pressing reset button) but now the fan just doesnt work

What is fuse part number, what type of fuse. For gods sake get professional with this. The wrong part could electrocute someone.
