I took my lid apart and cleaned it earlier today. I wish I had watched this first! LOL. I did manage to clean everything really well but I could have saved myself a lot of trouble. Oh well. At least I know for next time. Thanks for the video!
Thank you soooo much. I use this distiller to make hydrosols and after my recent herb blend, I can't get the smell n taste to come off from the cooling unit. Will try a vinegar cycle rinse too. If all else fails, will open up the top unit probably.
Best wear a visor when hoovering inside the top part of the distiller because I got a sty on the edge of my eye lid when I cleaned it. So I always wear a visor since that happened.

It’s not possible to clean inside the condensing tube. Only steam goes in there so it shouldn’t get contaminated. You can try to run a distillation with a couple of tablespoons of cleaning crystals in the water. Don’t drink the distilled water. You will be left with an oily residue which you can rinse out.
@@MegahomeWaterDistillers my condenser pipe needs cleaning too just after 5 uses. I can see it coated with hard-water build up. Thanks, I’ll try the cleaning crystals and then rinse out any residue remaining. As for mold: steam goes in there, but when the cycle is over, there’s lingering condensation in the tube. The air is not sterile, so that can and will lead to microbial build up. Cleaning of the metal condenser tube should be part of the manual
