Your video was used for our art class! Thank you! Mine turned out ok, but it can be tricky to figure out how long to leave in the sun as it changes intensity and positions. A learning process!
So, you posted this video 6 years ago, please tell us you're still making great prints. I've been a photographer for 47 years, and the past 18 years working the 19th centuryprocesses. What I see, is someone with skills years beyond her age. You, ma'am, have got it!!!
I loved everything, amazing work! the only thing I have to say is that I suffered watching the water running and running for several minutes and you never closed it :O
This is a fabulous video, thank you! I've been looking to incorporate this into my gum bichromate printing as a replacement for the cyan layer as some other gum printers have done, and watching this helped a lot in understanding what I'd have to do :)
Can we practice better water usage and not leave that running the whole time? Also what about agitating with your hand as opposed to running water? Just curious
great job on this especially the filming and editing, actually dont use bleach use hydrogen peroxide. I did a tutorial on my channel a few months ago also on how to use this paper in a medium format camera you may dig that also.
Awesome video! For your photographic print, did you still use sunlight exposure or a UV box instead? I want to start making prints again with old negatives, but I can't afford to build my own box
Not at all. You cannot use this paper in a camera. It would need days, even weeks, of exposure time. If you have an old glass negative, no problem. Put it on the cyanotypepaper and expose 10 to 20 minutes in bright sunlight.
@@romar1581 Thanks so much! I did some more research and you can photocopy a picture onto an overhead projector sheet and do it that way too! Great video.
@@reillybooks it is not my video. You need a negative, which you can easily make yourself by converting any picture to grayscale, then invert the colours and print it on transparency film. Do not forget to mirror before printing.
Tenise Holloway if the material is alive it will release condensed water vapor forming droplets that will dilute the solution in the sheet of watercolor paper. I put a plastic film over the paper then the plant part and over all this a glass plate. It work
Thank you for making this video! I plan on showing it to my photo class before we create our cyanotype paper tomorrow.
Thank You!. Working on making a video using a transparency print.

You should also explain the use of the arrowroot starch and potassium dichromate that comes with the kit.

Thanks for sharing this! Going to try this with my son for a science lesson soon.
This looks like such a fun hobby!
Excellent video Dominique. Thank you for sharing 🌷💖🌹
Excellent video!!!! New to this process and this video explained it perfectly. TFS!!
You can also dye the Cyanotype using green or black tea
Fabulous video. I'm bookmarking it for reference because it's clear you know what you're doing.

Great video! Super easy to follow your directions
Hi, thanks for this vid!! I'm wondering what do I do with the arrowroot starch and orange chemical that came with my kit?
Nice presentation. :-) Have you tried a few drops of hydrogen peroxide as an intensifier? I find it work brilliantly. best wishes. :-)
does it have to be sunlight or would a desk lamp work
The print doesnt need any fixing step/chemistry after exposure-washing?
Try you highly diluted hydrogen peroxide to quickly oxidize the print

Wow what a nice voice. You should do podcasts.
helpful and clear! thank you!!

Great tutorial and beautiful results! :)
Thank You!
Thanks for posting your video, very helpful!
As per your thumbnails, I watched this to find out how to do pictures of people with this method, but it's never mentioned. How is that achieved?

@@romar1581 Thanks for the clarification. I was reading your comment on my phone, and it didn't show me the video or creator when I read it.
Fantastic!!! Thank you soooo much...did you make the transparency yet?
The track you art I like it all
if you wet the paper it will spread more evenly
Antonio Garcia can i do the same process over on fabric? Like cotton or silk or lilen?
Wow so creative 😍😍😍
How did you print the portrait about the beginning of the video?
Get a transparent negative print.
thank you so much
Does the paper go under the glass and the materials go on top?

Chemical. You apply chemicals.
This is awesome. Thank you!!!!
Hi, I've got it all correct, yet when I wash the image in water, it disappears.
I Call Him Gerald how long are you washing it for?
I just got it to work a few days ago. I just wasn't exposing for long enough. Thanks
Muito lindo ok
Can you do this process on fabric?
At 1:30 she says "use a material that can handle liquids, such as canvas, watercolor paper, FABRIC..."
what do the chemicals cost?
SB C 20-30 bucks on b&h
POV: je hebt periode van Dirk Janssen
wow
Was eine Wasserverschwendung. Das muss doch auch anders gehen!
