Very impressed with this unit. Love that internet access point feature. Like the bug light option. Wish they would offer the NMC or Lithium Iron Phosphate option. Will keep my eye on this one.

I’ve been after a good power supply for my house to power surveillance cameras and other equipment but it is hard to find the right one unless you know what you are looking for and the quality of it thanks you so much for your help in sharing your experience in this matter
I also bought exactly this one. I seemed to like everything - I tried it and packed it in a box. Three months later I took it out, and it was discharged to 0. I tried to charge it for an hour, but it still remained discharged at 0. Very “satisfied”!

Thank you so much for showing us this. It has nearly everything I would want. But for sure everything I would need. I would like LFP and more DC ports as I use a DC upright Refrigerator, and my sink pump is also DC. So need 2 ports. But very glad there are people out there thinking and building units for Wi-Fi and SIM cards for people such as myself who live full-time nomad.
Hot spot and tethering works but this might be a better method for nomad living. 8 years now in my second toy hauler rebuild. No rent, living the dream. Also a second unit to add more watts or a plug and play 2nd battery pack would solve any energy needs. But a really nice unit other than the LNC and lack of DC ports. Subscribing.

1) Americans have a 240V/60Hz outlet ? People have water pumps and small appliances that run on 240. English models are 50Hz.
2) Can it function as a Wi-Fi extender as well? Starlink, not CDMA/ SIMM card, is the internet access.

I have a question so I'm trying to figure out the differences from the standard model and the 4 and 5 G. Plus I'm a newbie to the whole solar generator world Another question is NCM vs LFP batteries. I'm looking for something to charge phones, run a fridge and a CPAP machine as well. Thanks for any feedback. I do enjoy your videos and reviews.

Interesting. I ended up buying a solar power and a 4g router for a small solar camera project, not knowing that this one would do all in one.
Not sure about how well the wifi and internet would work, but it's a cool idea.
Well, the wifi works great. But yeah, the actual internet performance would have a lot more to do with the kind of service you subscribed to and the signal strength from wherever you happened to be. But that could be said for any cellular access point.
Sounds like there are a lot of cool features. One thing I am a bit concerned, it seems too light to be the capacity. Jackery 1500 with the same li-ion NMC battery formula is 35lbs, and this 2000Wh only weights 32lb🤨

I can run some numbers on the most energy dense form factors of NMC to see if this is even possible. First place to start would be 21700 cells that are 5000mah/18.5wh. You need about 110 cells to get just over 2000wh. At 69grams a piece its 16.7 pounds JUST for the cells....then there's pouch cells and prismatic cells. I'd imagine the pouch cells could trim a pound or two off.
What I would be concerned about is if they only have about 15 pounds left for the rest of the device do they have enough heatsinks in there? Kinda points to the inverter being a lightweight. Whats the average weight of a 2000W inverter? Then theres the internal charging circuitry and the DC circuitry.....
Looks like 12 pounds is pretty standard for 2000W inverters so trim off 2 pounds for the metal case. Now they have 5 pounds left for the exterior of the case, charging circuitry, DC circuitry.... Hmmmm....possible but I'm still concerned about lack of heat sinks inside.
Miss the UPS function, can't sign up the kickstarter program. Anybody knows how that could be done?
the one and only thing I would like to see this company do for a future model, is integrating a handset... Why?
To my knowledge, there still are a few cell networks that either won't or can't do data-only devices, as last time I looked into getting a 4g modem on Mint they gave some reason it was a no.
Having a dedicated handset built into the device would bypass the "data only device" flag, allow it to act as a camper phone, possibly even a little pager screen so you can read texts
Thank you for your review. The kick starter price is a grand slam winner. There is a risk/reward with all kick starter programs. I think the built-in router is a very nice idea. If I was in the design meeting with NIKOTA I would propose a 20% build rate with the router and 80% build rate without the router. The without router model will of course become much more price competitive.

Also, you mentioned a cell booster. Will it not accept MIMO antennae? Should do better

Will it work in UPS mode?
I live in a condo and would like to back up my aquarium pump and keep my internet and TV running. I'm guessing, once available, this is the power station You would recommend for me. I'll lookout for it, Thanks
Hmmm, possibly. But for what you described, you might just need to have backup power for your router/modem (+ aquarium and TV) and not necessarily need the cellular internet access point feature. And so, a more 'typical' power station (without mobile internet) might be an even better fit. If so, the EcoFlow Delta 2, or the Pecron E2000LFP would be a solid choices. (1000Wh and 2000Wh respectively).
For a new person in the world of working on the road might be ok but for a couple like us I'm good now

Very doubtful. :P Pretty the USB outputs are not SOC aware.
How long will it power your desktop pc and monitor and speakers in a power outage
That will vary depending on your PC specs and the intensity of CPU/ GPU utilization of whatever applications you're using, but in my case, on average, my setup consumes about 140W per hour, so this power station would give me about 12 hours of runtime on a full charge.
After reading many reviews and watching a lot of videos, I chose this option for my first backup power station. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHypYDKHAN93Lp2RQpfvU_ksc70wJ00pt I was between this and a larger option that could power a wider range of items, but the price/size/capacity blend seemed right for this unit. Hasn't gotten a ton of use yet, but the build quality is solid and it charges fine via the Rockpals solar panel I purchased to pair with it. One thing to note is that the screen is optimized for a top down viewing angle, which makes sense, but this means it washes out at other angles - especially low angles. Not a huge deal, but perhaps a better option for the display could be used to provide wider viewing angles.
I get the all in one feature aspect but would it not be easier to just get a hotspot and plug it into a "standard" solar generator?
I think that if all your devices were WiFi enabled, then yeah, probably true.

Are lifepo4 battery generators safe to store in a hot car? Most of the companies state maximum discharge and charging at 113F. If that's the case then if you had a fridge plugged in and it was hot in the car then the fridge would kickoff. And what about low temperature charging protection? I never hear anyone mention low temp protection.
Generally speaking - all of these portable power stations have both High and Low temp protections to keep from over-stressing and/or damaging the battery cells. So, they simply shut-down when they exceed their low and high temp threshholds. They're safe to store in a hot car, but if hot enough, they'll prevent charge/discharge operations. I've not really talked much about the high-temp cut-off, but as you've mentioned, it IS something you should be aware of - so I'll try and cover that more consistently going forward. Thanks! :)

I suppose standalone batteries have a higher working temperature than solar generators because the components (charge controller, inverter, AC charger) aren't contained in a box and allow for better airflow and heat dissipation. I mean if they're both lifepo4, the working temperatures of the batteries should be the same...or I would think. Thanks!

Ha!! Actually, truth be told, that opening clip really WAS filmed back in mid-August! I actually sent their original unit back to them because it was just TOO early of a prototype and wasn't far enough along that I could recommend it. So they fixed the issues and resent a much improved version about a month later- which is the one you saw after I jumped forward to Nov 12th when I finished filming my summary comments. :P And thanks so much for the kind words! :) I SINCERELY appreciate it.

It's possible they made a change. I'll try and confirm that and see what they say.
They have both LFP and NMC options. You can choose which chemistry you want.

Just refreshed my memory on that and yes, the output specs of that panel are compatible with the input specs on this power station. Also both have an Anderson connector, so you should be good to go with that panel.

Cool unit with some nice features but the 36v max solar input is lame. They really dropped the ball on that. You will be stuck with a 2s3p setup if you can find 100w panels with a VOC of 18v or less.

My electric ⚡️ lawnmower has 6 lithium ion batteries 🔋 they weigh 40 lbs it’s a 60 volt removable battery 🔋 system, I was thinking 🧐 maybe there could be a way I could utilize these batteries with my 500 watt Jackery power station without getting shocked 😳. Plus my 1000 watt ebike should be linked into the power system to triple my power giving me about 2500 watts of crazy 😛 power .
All the batteries could be used, but you would need buck converters to transform the voltage to the charging voltage of your jackery.

wifi router/accesspoint for remote internet access? hmmm - have you heard of the smart phone? been around for quite a while now. internal power brick router wifi etc - all take away the space that could have been used for more cells.
I hate using my cell phone hot spot for extended use. This would be good for people that are on the road a lot, like he said, and need to use a computer, TV and other things simultaneously. I have an RV and used to bring a separate hot spot a lot when we boondocked frequently. I gave it up when the kids got older and we didn't camp as much. It would be cool if you could pop a SIM from a phone into it when you want to.

All this fancy tech and the USB-C PD is only 65W? What a massive fail. Not sure why companies are still producing power stations with less than 100W PD.
Lithium NMC is garbage too. It's got less cycles and more importantly its considerably more combustible. Bad for vanlife etc.
