I'm planning on making another video on this very topic :) To give you a little insight, if you have a crappy cooler and most of your work doesn't require multiple cores(as you see in this video, most of my cores were in sleep when ideal), you can disable them and overclock only 6 cores for example and still the overall voltage usage will be lower since 2 cores aren't using power at all and your stock cooler will also be able to cool 6 cores efficiently compared to 8 cores. Hope that makes sense, if not, make sure to watch my future video :)
im doing spoiler to save energy and to produce less heat for example. you dont have to but if you dont need all the cores you can disable them. With that your energy bill goes down ;) and you do the nature a favor
Thank you bruh !! never thought about that though i have a decent dx-240 Dark flash cooler but still ty for the insight will definitely give it a try..
Hey, I need a big help. I can't unlock 4 cores. I have a 4core amd a10 6800k. I get only 2 cores. I tried to make more in msconfig But nothing happened. I need your help pls
no, for the micro stutter issues you have to do a bios update its fixed since 3-6 month or so you just have to update your bios (warning if done wrong, or you have unstable power delivery or something dont do it it will make your mainboard inuseable. in that situation let it be done by a repairshop or a friend that already did it and has stable power in his home)
if you don't really use all the 16 cores then you can disable the additional 8 cores, now you can further lower the VCore offset which mean further reducing temps in the CPU and now your CPU can boost higher w/ fewer core and lower voltages.
@@gamertechlive1780 a year later i finally got a response lol, but yeah i eventually figured that out. i had to switch them back on though. my pc started getting slow and since i switched them back on its back to how it used to be. probably something on my end but ah, dont really like messing with it. thank you brother.
Im using 5800x but temps are insanely high 5600x consumes less power while giving 4650mhz while gaming Locked Same frequency on my 5800x but consuming high power causing high temps Will disabling cores reduce power consumption And temperatures
its always better to tweak the entire system using the BIOS. Windows Ryzen Master is another app running in the background and you need to set it up again if you reformat your PC. You can think of it as a bloatware running at the top of the main software (BIOS).
Hahaha, han mostly esa koi nahi karta. But if you're only watching movies on your 8 core processor, you might want to disable 6 cores and save a lot of voltage and power. Esi kai sari practical implementations he cores ko disable kar ne ke and benefit bhi milta he. 1 aur bande ne bhi ye pucha tha, pinned comment aap 1 baar dekho :)
why i have to disable it ?

How can i do this on my A8 5600k processor?
Auto is default max cores, right?
Yep.
Bro pc any files delete reboot or not

How many cores are displayed in Ryzen Master?
@@thatdude6440 4, it's not a ryzen, it's a a10 6800k
@@drftzzo3802 Oh, my bad. How about hwinfo64? Are all cores getting detected?
@@thatdude6440 I will see, it's a Programm right? I mean that 64
@@drftzzo3802 That's right, hwinfo64 can give you a whole lot information about your system.
Bro even when i go here it still 2on2 or 1on1
Will this help with my micro stutter issues :(??

Thx bro, now I can mine with my overpowered CPU
So say I have 16 cores, should I disable all of them? Or just the 2x2?

ill do this to handicap my Ryzen 5 1600x, This MF consumes 30w in idle
this video very helpfull. i like it
Is this safe? Can i turn on again after disable the cores
Yes, you can just switch the setting back in your BIOS.
It's simpler to disable wanted cores via Ryzen Master
Game mode?

hahaha not really, still learning

Gay, disable one ccx not a core.
