It's such a scary process, that even if you think you know how to do it, you really want to have it confirmed, and UA-cam videos are the clearest, and most easy to follow, ways to do this
This is the only video that I found so far that tells you it's under "Tool". Everything else says "hit F7 for advanced and choose the file". Thank you!
Dude, thank you for making a simple short video that's easy to follow. I am a first time PC gamer and because I spent a big amount on my PC and I was terrified to f anything up. Most other vids I watched where too long and explained stuff like I knew what they where talking about. Again apricate you man, keep up the awesome vids.
Who else is here because Intel decided to give you a Chernobyl CPU?
True story 😢
i9
Yup! hopefully this fixes some game crashes I have been having. just did update. Went great. Testing tonight.
And ironically I can’t play STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl without first updating my BIOS 😭😭
@@Zero_Ctrlhow did it go?
What we do for Diablo 4. My hands shook the entire time. You were very helpful. Hopefully this solves my Diablo 4 Fenris error issue that came out of absolutely nowhere yesterday
exactly the info i needed. without having to scroll past useless stuff.
It worked perfectly, and I honestly thought the update wasn’t necessary for what it was doing. But now that it’s updated, it’s incredibly noticeable how the fans run much quieter, and the temperature is lower.
Definitely helped very straightforward instructions for my bios update
Thank you so much, this helped me. Old ASUS boards you could update BIOS straight from the UI in BIOS. This was a pain in the ass.
Thank you very much!! Very straightforward and easy to follow. Been having issues with BSOD and it looks like a new update came out earlier this month
I couldn't play World of Warcraft becuase it said my bios and chip blah blah blah were outdated. Thank you for this video!
Worked on z790 v ax
Be aware that after it flashes the bios in
Ez flash.
Let it go through more steps after it restarts automatically.
It updates led firmware and Me firmware
Don't load back into bios, let it do the updating loop automatically.
Pretty straight forward
Absolutely hate updating Bios on ASUS
Bricked first pc I built when trying to update the ASUS Bios so I could use more ram (1998 I think) lol
Great video.
I was terrified of doing the update in case I ruined my PC.
But it went smoothly, and it took less than 10 minutes.
Process was the same for my B760-G, apart from the different bios file download, though.
Thanks a ton for this. I couldn't find the directory after getting into the BIOS. Last pc I built was maybe 7 years ago and some things are a little different, but also the same.
Thank you for the no-frills guide, subscribed!
Yes agree slightly scary prosses but that's why we have cool people that make helpful videos. Just did my update
Just what I needed
Thanks for this it helped a lot 🙏
This video helped me thank you good sir!
Hi @GamerTechToronto, I have a Maximus XIII Hero and i need to flash new bios, I use a bios method (same of you), it's need to put the USB pen on Bios Flashback port or also in other ports of back panel (directly to motherboard, not any hub ofc)???
Thank you armor crate use to do it itself sadly now we have to go extra steps.
Very clear, thx a lot, subbed
If I am updating the BIOS for the first time on a ROG Maximus Z790 Hero; do I need to do every update between the version I have and the latest version?
Hello! i just update the bios and before the update, the CPU_FAN had 1100-1200 rpm and the rest shows N/A. After the update, the CPU_fan shows N/A and CPU_OPT have 1100 rpm as default. Should i make some changes? And when i want to enable DOCP and i press save& exit, i got a black screen for several min and after that the bios menu again. Can u help me with some info, please? Thank you!😍
Great Guide normaly i dont do it update my Bios. Bit for the Intel 13/14 gen i have to do it.
will this also cover the MEI updates or is that a separate process?
Much help... thanks!!!
👍
Is it okay for me to just install this update? (newer version is already out atp tho). Because I haven't installed the Firmware thing or the ME download (basically anything below the BIOS update).
Also I was asked to press F5 for "smooth operations" or F1 at the end of the update 😭 kinda shitting myself rn, idk what to press or what it will cause afterwards
I have exactly this motherboard. It doesn't have to be FAT32, or even a USB stick, I tried doing this with 3 USB sticks all formatted to FAT32 and none of them showed up in the BIOS tools. I even tried different USB ports, nothing worked. However, the BIOS tools did see all of my M.2 drives formatted with NTFS under Windows 11. So I copied the renamed file to the root of my C: drive and it worked fine from there.
So:
1. It doesn't have to FAT32.
2. My motherboard didn't even see the USB stick.
3. If the BIOS can open up your hard drive and read it, it will work.
Good evening!
Since I bought an Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Hero and a Core I7 14700KF processor, does this procedure taught in the video work for the motherboard to work with the processor?
Hey guys wondering if u guys using ROG Maximus z790 hero with bios 2801? Any issues or problems?
double thanks.
I don't know if I did something wrong I did the bios update and everything went good fully updated, when I tried to boot my pc after its completely laggy and temperature stuck at 60c+ and barely can move the mouse too
quick question. i have like 2 years of bios updates. do i just go to lastest one . or update one by one
thanks
Thank you!
I was on the phone with ASUS support and they told me I had to update every bios 1 at a time from where my bios was currently at am I able to skip to the top one or should I do each one till I get to the top bios update
Did you just go for it?
What?!
the biosRename for flash back bios you can update the bios without rename it
Did not work without renaming it for me. Could be dependent on the motherboard
So just followed the instructions properly
In bios it said update successful
The screen has turned off and on multiple times
PC auto turned off once
Pc has been on for 30 minutes but the monitor is still off?
Should I turn it on?
What about the bitlocker notice. Am I supposed to backup?
No.
Its probably turned off in windows anyway.
Its off by default.
Search in the windows search bar for Bitlocker.
@rl4889 thank you althrough I already know. Updated bios. Cpu installed. Happy days
Thank You Brother ❤
Wow brought me here
Same here lol
What does it mean to back up bitlocker recovery key and suspend bitlocker encryption???
Thanks man !!!!!!
If it shot downed by any chance ,how we can fixed it i mean bios flashback dosnt help us ?
Why do we have a USB port in the back that's labeled "BIOS" ?
Does this mean we have to plug the USB flash drive into this port only ? Does it matter ?
All I saw is you plugging into the back but which port ?
I've never seen this before ...USB ports labeled for specific purpose ?
Update said confirmed but I never got any of the small white firmware text in the top left of the screen afterwards, my screen has just been completely black for about 30 minutes. Scared to reboot my pc, don’t wanna brick it.. About how long does it usually take to restart?
Bro I’m in this situation right now what end up happening with yours?
@@Im_chrispytv I said fuck it and restarted it after like an hour.. Booted BIOS and installed again, blackscreen on the 2nd time too. Booted back up and BIOS was updated thankfully
do you know if it's safe to install ROG-MAXIMUS-XIII-HERO-ASUS-2203-1 ? I'm afraid to brick my board. Afraid if the power goes off.
That's really strange, because I am worried that my house will be struck by a giant asteroid half way through the update. Don't laugh. It could happen.
@@TrevorDennis100 I won't even attempt it before getting a ups
@@TrevorDennis100I’m the same way
tysm
I have the same Board , i've updatet from 1402 to 2703 , the pc dont start anymmore - ive used the usb port and the cmos button to go gack to 1402 and the pc worked again.
the i try the version 2503 - pc don`t start , and than again back to 1402 - pc starting - I have no idea why it doesn't work.
This seems more of a stable method rather than the flash button on the back of the IO panel.
Thank you
lifesaver!
How do i do this when my pc has black screen, DRAM light is a constant orange/yellow?
I have a ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F GAMING
Bro, I used bios flashback system. I thought this was the only way to update the bios 💀
Wish it was as simple as enter bios and update via internet in bios. Took less than 3 minutes. I know they removed that convenience to collect our data on web browser.
very helpful reminder, take a like + sub. Thank you
I updated to the latest version and the PC wouldn't BOOT. When I removed two DIMS then the PC would BOOT with just two DIMS. I updated the BIOS again to the original BIOS and now I can BOOT with four DIMS.
Why every time i install Asus armoury crate , my pc start freeze
Does anyone knows how to fix it ?
I read a lot of forums i re-install i format i update bios i did all steps but this application still freezing my pc !!
Only unistall is the solution ?
just uninstall it
Ngl I got so scared because the second my bios update started my pc restarted but I went back into the bio and the update continued
Ive updated the bios on 2 separate PCs and about to do it a third time but i still get super nervous
Who else is here with an i9 because Intel decided to do some shady stuff and you get constant game crashes now
why can't i run 128g on this crazy motherboard
What happens tho if u turn it off in the middle of updating ur bios will u never be able to use the motherboard or what
In the worst case it can kill the entire motherboard
I think this happened to me
The problem is that you have only one computer and cannot access it. How can you check which motherboard model it has, and how can you download files to a thumb drive if you are unable to access Windows?
😂😂😂
i hate this motherboard always fault 99 and b4 hope the bios update fixes this problem
Theres a beta update for this board on asus website u can use. Might be a fix?
@@Nukeyttv yeah works fine now
Omg i hate asus motherboard sooooooooo much. Paid nearly $500 for some unstable pos product ever.
Have you got the issue solved mine has been rock solid
