Pretzel Dogs!! Homemade Soft Pretzel Dog Recipe

- Learn how to make homemade pretzel dogs!! All-beef hot dogs stuffed with cheddar cheese and wrapped in a delicious homemade soft pretzel. Amazingly delicious and so easy to make! Dip in ketchup, Cheez-Whiz, melted Velveeta or even mustard. You gotta give these a try!
***I used HALF a recipe of my homemade pretzel dough for 8 hot dogs. You can also substitute 1 'tube' or can of premade pretzel dough if you so choose. See how I make my pretzel dough here: • Homemade Soft Pretzels...
What you'll need:
-pretzel dough
-hot dogs
-cheddar cheese
-baking soda (for the pretzel solution)
-pretzel salt
-melted butter
-dipping sauce of your choice
Makes 8 soft pretzel dogs. Enjoy!!

Made these today, the craving was real! My son was jumping up and down excited, told me I was the best mom ever and asked me to make them again. I rarely do the cooking so it's nice to have a hit in my small repertoire.
I found your channel looking for Chicken & Dumplings. I had never had success before. That lead to Pretzel Dogs, which was a big hit with my son. I love that your recipes are from scratch, generally using simple, inexpensive ingredients. And the results are fabulous! You carry the Viewer through the recipe in an efficient way, but still manage to convey the warmth of your personality. You warn the viewer of potential problems, while encouraging alternate ingredients when appropriate. Bravo!

Made these today. They came out more like Pillsbury crescent rolls but delish none the less.
I tried this recipe in my 8th grade foods class this year. Amazing recipe, definitely recommend this recipe to anyone who like this kind of stuff.
I made them today they turned out great! Only thing I did diffrent was use table salt.

Everyone I see doing this wraps the dough without flattening it and it looks way to thick. I was thinking I would try flattening when I tried this and then I came across your vid...looks great, thank you very much for sharing.

Jason, these are off the hook awesome! I have a place near me called Philly Pretzel Heaven and I try to go there once a week for pretzel dogs, but even they don't put cheese in them! I get a little container of deli mustard and go to town! Great cook, Mr Crouton Crackerjacks!
