Mine came with a very greasy plunge lock. Thinking of dissasembling, cleaning and relubing it but I'm afraid removing the grease would cause lock stick..
The sentinel strike is awesome! Just wish it had comparable stainless blade steel. Maybe g10 on the back spacer although I can live with it as is. Just give me 14c or nitro v or 154cm or VG10. Even BD1 or 9cr. At the very least, they gave us coated blade options for that blah D2
They have understood that good designs at budget levels are a hit. Vision has gone like hot bread and this one is no different. Off course high end versions are much better but not for everyone to get
Any thoughts on why the "Damascus" appears stenciled or airbrushed on..there are sections of cloudy and fuzzy edges on the pattern throughout..seems quite gas stationy to me... Any comments from the community are welcome..!
It looks more like an actual upgrade. It’s not fake and you can tell how different photos show different forging patterns. I think it’s sweet how they have a singular core steel at the cutting edge it makes it look like San mai or those Japanese style steels
what's the best sharpener for this blade? out of the box it was slicing paper corners and going through two layers of cardboard with ease. a few hours later it wont slice paper corners one bit
Yeah based off the ziffius. So cool you can get budget version. Don’t know why they used k110 (d2) though? Should’ve used Nitro V or 14c28n. Makes no sense. 😂

What keeps the button from falling out if it fits through the scale hole and doesn't have a collar?
I’m guessing it’s the blade that sits between the button and the plunger that holds it in place.

The other versions of this knife that aren't damascus have an FRN back spacer and use K110 steel (basically CPM's version of D2 with a top hat)
It's Bohler's treatment, CPM does CPM-D2 but it's chemically identical

I have a KME sharpener and I also use a strop with gunny juice compound. But I think there’s better choices out there then the KME nowadays.
If only it was in something other than d2 . I dont even mind d2 but at 80$ id prefer 14c , 154cm , 10cr ect

Anyone notice the flipper is too easy to fail? That’s the most disappointing part for me.
It seems like button lock knives tend to have a softer detent.
Mine wont fail easy. Plus there is so many deployment options. But my detent is just as good as any framelock
