Just picked this bad boy up. And I love the thing. I've heard people say it's "too busy" with all the opening options. And rolling their eyes at the glass breaker. Think of it this way... I think this is Civivi's shot at a tactical knife rather than a run of the mill EDC. Besides the stabby blade style, you have all those opening options so in a pinch you got a few different ways to deploy if you need it. And as far as the glass breaker, I dare anyone who owns this to go ahead and doink yourself a couple times in the forehead with the glass breaker. For as small as it is, if you put power behind it, it would absolutely drop someone if you hit em with it. So for the nitpickers, this thing has defense in mind as much as daily usage. 👍🏼
I agree 100%. Got mine for a steal about a month ago and haven't been able to put it down. I do wish it came without a flipper tab simply because it gets in the way when I want to use the other opening methods. Bless.
@@jackberdine My only complaint is I got the one with the black coat. Was testing it out and chopped up an apple and some of the coating came off and is 2 toned now. That irks me a bit but like the knife so much otherwise I'm thinking of getting the silver and black one 😎
love the look of this thing. honestly debating buying the red version and the damascus version and doing a blade swap; i think the red damascus would look real nice
I just got the black with olive back and the Damascus one there so I can switch the backs and have an all black version. Which they should have done to begin with.
I bought the Damascus version, being pretty and green scales, but the main reason is because it's stainless, the other versions are k110 (D2 equivalent), and the core in the Damascus is 10cr, which is harder than the 9cr, better edge retention, and from some reviews even better than some of the nitro V that civivi has released (civivi vision FG 10cr core Damascus vs the nitro V), hit and miss I guess in mass production. And the figet factor is awesome, being new to knives....was my first reverse flicker....now it's standard almost for me, so gratifying
I think the Sentinel Strike looks nice, but, as goes for button locks, I already am plenty happy with my Kizer Swaggs Sway Back, so I passed on this for the green micarta Civivi Vision FG. Buttttttt, it is really pretty, and reminds me of one of the Leatherman Signal variants that is also green with damascus, and I think that is a very fetching color scheme. Also, lol, another knife that Amazon doesn't want to ship to me, but they would ship an AD20.5 or a PM2! 🤪
@@TristateEDC Yep really. I think I just had expectations that were too high and it didn’t live up to them. Mostly because it was so hyped and I usually don’t buy into hype. I didn’t check the specs ahead of time and should’ve, so some of its on me. Didn’t like that it was K110 which is just D2. Didn’t like that it was FRN instead of G-10. I think it was a CIVIVI price with Sencut materials. Thought that the hole AND thumb studs were overkill and took away from the aesthetic. And thought the glass breaker bead was gimmicky and also made it difficult to reverse the clip. It’s funny because I usually don’t “hate” any knife. But I hated that one.

You talked me into one and well described
It's so delightful. Absolute slam dunk from the civivi team.
3:19 "I'm just gonna mess it up...as I do most things in my life." 🤣😂🤣 It's funny because it's painfully relatable.
Actually at 3:12
@@TristateEDC Good Christ! It took me 7 seconds to hit the comment button and then the time stamp button!? FML 😔

Like the knife but I absolutely hate glass breakers on any knife. They always seem tear up my hands when I got to use my pocket .
this glass breaker is soft and rounded
Toughen your hands up
Thanks Kole 🙏
I really want one too, just not for $100...
i have that exact sentinel strike along with the white and Damascus vision fg. two of my favorite knives.
The need that green with a 14c28n blade
Oh, it's huge. Words I have never heard before. Sidenote, that's why I don't have one. Much larger toy than I'm used to handling
One of my favorite the size to weight ratio is amazing

It's definitely a beautiful design
"Omg, it's huge," that's what she said😂😂😂😂

At first before I hit play it almost looked like hedge clippers

Unboxings like these are very dangerous.. makes me want to try one 😂
Damn it now I want one DAMN YOU TRI STATE 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the fg. Sentinal strike is tops on my list to get next
I honestly love then both. I wouldn't be able to choose between them.
Good looking design, I wish they had skipped the thumb studs and extended the flickin' hole.
Think civivi should make more mini versions of their knives
Have the same exact knife, The detent is weak. I personally like a little stronger detent
Im getting to that point where i have enough button locks.
It's a budget version of the We Ziffius which won Best in Show. This is almost as good for 1/3 the price.
This thing is about the same size as my Chaves Redencion 229 and about 1/8th the weight.
I freaking told you it was sweet dude
i have this exact knife. only opened it a couple times. wanna swap for a rockwell?
LOL
I love mine so good
I say BOOM BOOM YOU SAY …
If it was a Left Handed button lock I’d fly to China and pick that sucker up, Thanks Kole 😎
As a lefty I have no problem with either of my 2 sentinels, takes a few days to get used to but not as bad as you'd think
I keep meaning to buy this, but I also suffer from ADHD brain and something new and shiny is constantly distracting me.
Love mine but the scratches are really annoying
In the Hole!!!!!
They say tri state were I am at
Jersey- New York - Connecticut
When you said Ohio I was confused 😕 so what is it Ohio Michigan and
oh cooooooooooooooooooool a button looooooooooooooooooooooooock.......
I hated it😆
Just awarded it my most disappointing knife of 2023.
To each his own.
Good stuff as always brother 👊🏻
REALLY!? I beg to differ my good man.
