Great video man I just got this one for Christmas and it’s just so clean. A higher quality steel would have been nice to see for the price but I am more than happy with it especially as a gift!

Oh yeah, love this model. I’d really liked to see this one in 14c. I think the thin nature would really be a banger by K110 will last a long time before needing to be sharpened.

I received my Civivi Sentinal Strike three days ago and while I LOVE some things about this knife, I'm a little disappointed at others. Let's start with the weight. No one wants to make a knife that is too heavy to carry comfortably. And Civivi has done a good job of keeping this knife incredibly light... almost too light. At a certain point, light can feel cheap and while this is a well made knife with good materials, it is so light that it feels a bit cheap. But what really bothers me is that the blade deployment is so easy to fail. And part of the reason for that is, they didn't use bearings in the blade pivot. It just uses plain old washers... on an $85 knife? Civivi dropped the ball on this. In every other regard, the knife is a 100% win. But if you pick up a Vision FG and feel it's solid weight, and then pick up the Sentinal Strike, I think most people will agree that there is a positive side to a little weight. And when it comes to blowing off washers on an $85 knife, I don't think there's ANY excuse.

I was really excited for this knife. Got one and it’s alright but the flipper is too easy to fail. Just kinda flops out. Did anyone else feel this way?

My original one was like that but the replacement was way better. 👍

@@dailygearguide No way! How much different/better? Was it harder to fail and launched out more snappy?

@@Dmm1004the detent isn’t very strong so it’s better tuned for the reverse flick or thumb studs. If you just put a little more force into the flipper tab and do a light switch gesture instead of a push on the flipper tab it shoots out and if your fingers aren’t super strong I would suggest using a little bit of wrist action with it👍

Mine has been really good . I ll even say it’s better than the fg or right there with it . Drops nicely , nice blade , took a nice sticky edge and it felt hard while using diamond stones 😊

That’s great to hear. I loaned mine to lefty but can’t wait to test it more when I get it back 👍
