just got mine and i love it! thanks to this review i finally chose this exact model.
With 20% or more discount this is a lot of watch for the money, I will buy the black PVD model,I already have two Spinnakers they are good value if bought right. My dream watch is the Panerai Luminor, but for buyers who don't like the dial,glass etc. of the Spinnaker try the "Panzera Aquamarine 45", manufactured from an Australian company. It is the last watch I bought because of it's homage to the Panerai cushion shape case. It has sapphire crystal, a flat dial with minimal raised markers, and runs a Miyota 820A movement, and 200 meters water resistance, it's also 45mm diameter, which is probably the largest size I would wear but the impeccable build quality and value for money if you can wait and buy it on discount with free delivery makes it very worthwhile. Even at normal retail if you like this style it's still a rare full price bargain at around $450 usd. There are agents worldwide so have a look at Panzera,I bought the blue fathom model, just too cool for school!!!!! Maybe watch geek has a review or will do one?? Jeff

I have been looking for a California dial watch to add to my collection. I have a budget restriction so Panerai is out. Currently zeroing on a Glycine Incursore for my larger wrist, but this watch is interesting and I’m sure it will do well for Spinnaker.

The crystal is a shame, but not a game stopper, because it can be replaced with a sapphire when scratched to badly after years of use...
Maybe a dumb question but how do you know it can be replaced with a sapphire? Wouldnt the crystal have to be the exact same shape as Spinnaker's?
Alex Parra - watch crystals are more or less standard parts and when you know diameter and thickness it is relatively easy to find a replacement in the quality you wish...
I don’t think Spinnaker used a proprietary crystal in a watch at this price 😉

Great watch except the numeral change . Either Roman or Arabic but both disturbs the harmony. My opinion.
But the dial texture is amazing. Spinnaker is a great brand and has great prizing.

I don't mind the mineral glass. The dial looks like the grip part on my camera, it doesn't look good. I would buy this watch if it had a different dial.
Many have said that, the first generation of the Hull had a regular sandwich dial

for $250, this is a quite expensive looking watch.
It's more like $200 after discount so even better 😄
I went with the G-Shock 9400 and King G-Shock. Odd, I went from Hamilton, to Seiko, to Casio.

Would consider if it didn't have that weird and ugly textured dial, especially if it were no date. The hands seem a bit naff too, the finish on them seems rather rough. I do like the generous amount of lume, how's the quality of it?
I like everything except the mixture of Roman numerals and Arabic numbers... Just looks wrong. Odd and not in a good way.
