i hate the parrot fish cause it gets soft if you dont eat it the day you catch it, even if you freeze it. Havent tried fresh raw parrot fish and prolly would do it soon..

im pretty sure with our raw fish we use salmon. But we dont use onions but we use fresh lemon.
regional differences I suppose as lemons aren't native to the islands.
We use lemons and let the fish soak in it for like 2-4mins to get rid of the strong fish scent and blood thn we add coconut cream and our vegetables 😊
What does it taste like?
Yum
😍

alohatic she ain’t a true sista!
I thought she was Samoan lol she played for the Samoan netball team. Hhmmm it is an international mystery lol
Here dad has a drop of Samoan also.but mostly tongon Mums White and Māori.
Yourz TRUELY Maoris are not in existence anymore so she’s mostly just white!
Fiona O'Keefe I know so many full Maori and grew up with some of them and known their families, so please don’t comment on something you have limited knowledge on. There are still many full Maori or mixed maoris who are proud and are fluent Maori to this day. Cat Latu is mixed Islander. Period!
@@fionaokeefe1906 who told you that?!
"Maori are not in existence anymore" wtf... Proud Maori right here!

You guys copied Samoans

Makeezy u guys copied oka
Uh no they didn't you idiot.. Oka, Ota, same thing you bolo..
😂😂😂😂😂😂
everyone relax on this lil kota hes only 9 years old
Samoans dice the fish and serve it in a bowl not put hands in it otherwise it's bad manners. Plus it will go mafu. A pleasant way to eat and enjoy 😄
Bernadette Lepou it’s done the same in Tonga. It’s seemed like the knife was blunt to cut the fish in pieces
'aueeeee. The fact they were in a tight space and one bowl to work with. But normally we don't eat 'ota like that either.
We do dice the fish when making ota but when you’re out in the sea or if you’re just making ota to enjoy then we’d eat it like that. But honestly it’s up to you how you want it. I’d eat it like how they’re eating too it looks yum 😍😍
Bad manners to the Palangi aye 🤣🤦♂️ This Tonga cuhz KAI KE FIU 🔥
What a condescending comment. Trying to act like you grew up in a palace.
