- This SALSA VERDE will be your favorite, it is easy to make and super delicious. I love preparing this salsa for so many recipes, my Ron absolutely loves it and you can make it as hot or mild as you want. i hope you try it.❤
INGREDIENTS----------------
10 small/medium tomatillos
2 medium Serrano peppers (you can add more for extra heat)
4 Chile de Arbol (you can add more for extra heat)
2 medium garlic cloves
1/4 small onion
Salt to your liking
Small bunch cilantro
1/2 C. water (or more)

This is my delicious SALSA VERDE (TOMATILLO SALSA) I am sharing my secret for a perfect salsa, there are some important steps to be taken when making a good salsa like letting your TOMATILLOS cool before blending, and being able to add water for perfect consistency since TOMATILLOS are high in pectin. Hi Rachel, I tasted some store bought green salsa today, and it was so tart and tangy. Is your green salsa tart and tangy or more subdued with a pepper taste? I was so disappointed in the canned green salsa today, and would love to make some without the tanginess. Is the tanginess something to be expected when using tomatillos?
@@dianah.667 hi my friend, I do not like I very tangy at all, mine is not like that, when tomatillos get boiled to long then blended when still hit they will taste very acidic…follow my recipe and instructions carefully and you will see how delicious it is and you can adjust the pepper if you like.❤️
Today I have watched-chicken fried steak, pinto beans, huevos ranchero, meatloaf, flour tortillas- I am enjoying this so much. I almost feel like a stalker today 😂😂😂.

Miss Rachel! O my gosh.... back in the mid - 70's, we made those Avocado Tacos, as we called them , with Salsa Verde ! Wow, that was amazing to see !
Your recipe looks great, it's quicker than how I used to roast the tonatillos in the oven. I also make a really good dip using the Salsa Verde ,with Refried Beans mixed in. Ohhhh my. Delish.

Rachel I want to tell you that I love the way you teach and fully demonstrate step by step of your recipes! My husband is a truck driver and is gone at least 15 days at a time. I make 1 of your recipes a week ( I halve the recipe) for me while he is gone and I eat almost all of it - leftovers. Then when he comes home I fix a another recipe for him. It makes him SO happy. Comfort food at its best! Keep up the great work. We love it all!

You might want to look into learning how to "CAN" food in mason jars. You can cook a bunch then you distribute certain serving size into a good sized mason jars. It will last until you open it for an entire year! Your hubby could take canned food on the road with him to enjoy your home cooked meals. He might want to get a small microwave to keep in his truck to heat up the food! Just an idea; he'll be thinking of "home" while he's eating your delicious meals, what could be better than that?

I've loved Mexican food since I lived in Southern California many years ago. Later, I returned to Florida, patronized Mexican restaurants. I befriended many Mexican coworkers who would bring home made dishes to parties I threw for birthdays and holidays. I moved many hours away when I retired and other than phone calls I've lost contact with my friends. Discovering your channel enabled me to learn how to cook the foods I associate with the love and warmth of friends, I miss so much. You make it simple to do... thank you.
