- The Nissan Micra has worn many looks over the years, from angular to bubbly design. However the previous generation opted for a strange hybrid, that unfortunately missed the mark. Furthermore, the Micra scored low on interior quality, and overall was dubbed either “boring,” or “cheap,’ and not in a positive way. So this year Nissan hopes to right some wrongs, and flew me out to Dubrovnik, Croatia to let me see what direct the Micra will be taking this year. Will this supermini finally be able to compete against UK favourites like the Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa? Let’s find out in this in-depth review!

The feeling when a car has some weird tech nobody will ever use and there are still no electric rear windows
Electric rear windows are also a useless feature which can cost you quite a lot if you intend to keep the car more than the warranty period.
@@kokokokikikiful Not to mention that starting November 2018, the Micra ships with electric rear windows starting Acenta level. They also upgraded petrol engine to 1L 100hp option, added Tomtom navi and some other goodies.

I'm Asian and I agree it's clear that Asians have very different expectations for cars. Material quality isn't high on the list (scratchy and bargain-basement plastics are abound).

im considering buying this car, but the engine seems so weak, would it be possible to engine swap it after purchase or add a turbo for some extra hp?
doubt it will ever live up the k10 and k11 possibly the k12? and i drive a 99 k11 and passed a k14 the other day and its huge its almost a fraction smaller then the note its replaced , i thought i micra was ment to be small? plus will it last as long as the original micras?

carwow can you sometimes test the bottom of the range, so its not big touchscreens and soft touch plastic

The first generation one was my first car (handed down) - it was actually awesome and had good ground clearance. 0-60 in about 20 odd seconds... top speed around 70 odd...

No auto option could be a mistake; Micra's key main audiance tends to be people wanting an automatic. Just look at most second hand Micras on the market; they're mostly automatics. Come on Nissan, give us an auto option. I really want to buy one of these, but I need an automatic. From experience (I've had a couple of Micras now) I really like the CVT transmission, so hope it becomes available in due course.

He keeps saying small car - no it bloody well isn't. I've had two Micras in the past that were small (suited my purpose) , but now own a Hyundai I10. I am not interested in a motor that looks like a boy racer and starts at 12 grand. Nissan can keep it.

I dont like the idea the car then attempts to steer you back into your lane or applies the breaks

I love the new micra very funky
A good safety feature would be if all cars had a metal spike that shot out of the steering wheel instead of an air bag. No one would ever drive fast and like an idiot. Car crashes would stop happening over night.

Whats the point of having Bose speakers if you can't have electric windows in the rear? I wish Nissan could part ways with Renault.
Because Bose speakers are nice, you could be using them every moment you are driving. Even the Bluetooth calls probably sound better when you have a speaker close to your ear. And the elecric windows in the back, how often do you use it? They become a problem if nobody is in the back and you, the driver, for some reason, want to open the back window.
Stop being told what a car must have! Think on your own about what features truly make sense to pay for. Stop being intoxicated and made to think you need all the crap you don't actually need.

I take offence to the colour red. Can you re-film the video with a silver car but you should probably check nobody`s feeling`s are hurt by silver cars first.

Winding down the rear windows on 2017 model cars!? Same as Skoda Fabia. Seriously i liked these cars until seeing the back seats and those horrible 1910 technology of winding down windows. I'll pass... What do they save by not fitting those with electric switches anyways?
Tashqen ....apparently its to do with child safety, in case electric rear windows aren’t disabled by the driver, its harder, & takes longer, for a child to wind them down, so I’m lead to believe.

This is not a Japanese car.It is a Renault Clio in a different dress.Made in the Renault factory in Flins,France It certainly is NOT based on the old Micra platform - that is wrong.Above all it is not a city car.It is a lot wider than both the old Micra and the Note.Anyone looking to replace an old Micra & wanting to fit it in the standard UK garage will have to look elsewhere - maybe a Mitsubishi Mirage or Kia Picanto,Hyundai i10 or for the money that this new Micra costs and top of the range Volswagen Up.
Just needs rear arm rests and a cubby to put yer turban....good to go !
