thats the thing that i love about sephiroth. he was actually a great guy, he was the hero so long until he became the villian. the truth will set you free in the most horrible way imaginable in this story. i cant even blame him for the psychotic breakdown. shinra destroyed the planet well before he came along, he just saw himself as the arbiter of the end.
I love that Crisis Core showed Sepiroth as the Hero he was louted as in the original FF7, before he lost his mind with the discovery of Jenova. Stoic, caring, and nearly unparalleled in skill.
This part of Sephiroth will come back. I believe it. It may be just a glimpse, or even a full recovery before Jenova breaks his mind. But he will truly be back.
I’m hoping for it. Or at least a second Sephiroth who’s more like his early Crisis Core self than his post-realization self. A hero and a good friend. He was such a good guy before he lost his mind…
I'm crying when I think about Sephiroth as Lucrecia's child... He was his mother's child. So sad he never had a chance to know about her. Dirge of Cerberus's story about Lucrecia is worth to cry...
I hope the theory of getting "hero sephiroth back" is true, as we already have semi-confirmation of there being 2 different sephiroths on remake(one very likely being pre-insane sephiroth). To me the idea he really was possessed/manipulated by Jenova in the original makes a lot of sense, and they can actually make Remake trilogy more interesting if they make it sephiroth's journey to be independent from Jehovah, but still evil/destructive for his own personal reasons and not because it's jenovah's will. (or less likely but equally interesting if done right: they make someone else the final big villain, and have good sephiroth return to stay, giving everyone that dream of having sephiroth in your party.)
It KILLS me that Sephy was such a nice guy! Like... Crisis Core showed me a different light to him compared to the original FF7 game. It just breaks my heart that he just lost it one day. :(
Man, I wish I could hug Sephiroth Edit: I'm gonna use Zack's enthusiastic phrase *_"AWESOOOMEE! WE'RE GONNA FAIL!_* whenever me and some other people we'll intentionally plan to fail something😂

Sephiroth was the tip of the Shinra/SOLDIER spear, but he wasn't really evil until the Nibleheim Incident removed his humanity. It was only afterward learning of his past that he became a monster - I actually felt kind of sorry for him after playing Crisis Core.
Sephiroth has a flip phone. Just making that statement. The most intimidating and dangerous living thing in this universe carries and *uses* a flip phone
I always had an abridge idea in my head that after Zack screamed “AND WHAT?!” Sephiroth answered, “Then we get pizza.” Everything else funnily follows afterward
Sephiroth is such a tragic villain. He truly was a gentle person, I feel like if Shinra had just been honest with him, things would have been different. The same goes for the Angeal and Genesis as well.
You know after playing they game for awhile I can honestly say the VAs did a good job. Like i'll miss the ogs of course but you have to admit they did a pretty good job
No but genuinely you’re right, I was probably TOO vocal about my dislike for the voice acting of Crisis core reunion when it first got a trailer, especially and mainly just Zach, but it kinda grow’s on you
As someone who hasn't played the original, I really fell in love with these voices, especially how smooth Sephiroth's was and how Genesis sounds so proud and like a know it all, considering his actions and well- hubris. I couldn't understand why people disliked it so much. Listening to the original, I also really liked those voices. I like both :)
I'm fine with everyone except Caleb. Rick Gomez really felt like that best friend/brother combined with goofy, confident soldier. Caleb just sounds like he's reading paper and being loud when needed too.
Actually it was years in the making, His father abused and Experimented on him, He was used as Shin-ra’s weapon and No one took care of him emotionally. The lies broke the camel's back.
@@ErenDenizMertJenova didn't take over Sephiroth, though. Sephiroth took over Jenova. That isn't even hinted, that's explicitly part of the climax of FF7.
Seeing all these comments saying "oh man sad to know that learning about the experiments made him go batty!" Like, no. That was only the straw that broke the camels back. He would have been able to cope with what he learned about his past if he hadn't basically been forced to hunt down the only two friends he ever had in the entire world. Forced to watch Genesis follow power in senseless madness. Forced to watch Angeal become everything he opposed. Forced to hunt them down like he was just some bloodhound. Unable to reach them, unable to understand why NEITHER of them trusted him enough to just talk to him about what was happening to him. Sephiroth was an incredibly awkward but kind man who just wanted to do what he thought was right. Having to hunt down someone who showed him what it was like to be passionate and another who taught him what honor truly meant broke his heart and his spirit. This mission was literally his last ditch effort to save Angeal. After this, when Angeal commits suicide via Zack, Sephiroth is quiet and demure. He's suffering so much and has no idea how to tell Zack because he knows that Zack is hurting just as much too. Then, when he finds out what Hojo did to Lucrecia, finds out that Genesis and Angeal were LITERALLY failed versions of him and were always doomed to die long before him, finds out that his everything was only thanks to an alien named Jenova. It was only natural that he snaps. Again, were Genesis and Angeal still alive and with him, he could have overcome it. Definitely turned away from ShinRa, but he wouldn't have burned the whole world. I personally think that Yazoo, Loz, and Kadaj, the three Remnant villains of Advent Children, were actually his fragmented memories of his only three dear friends. Yazoo as Gensis, Loz as Angeal, Kadaj as Zack. Twisted and warped into caricatures to mock his friends, but created in their images nonetheless.

Seph had nothing but being a soldier so even forming normal friendships would've been hard as most couldn't even really see past the legend.
I maintain the idea Sephiroth is just as much as a father/brother figure to Zack as Angeal
It's amazing seeing Sephiroth with an actual character and personality. I love seeing this. Thanks for showing. ❤️ Also, Zack shouting "AWESOME, WE'RE GONNA FAIL" had me in tears. 🤣
“Awesome. We’re going to fail,” had me dying. 🤣
He resembles me most of the time 😂
* i walk by the room and hear you shout We're Gona fail excitedly * O.O* in sephiroth voice... protect that person at all cost the world needs more of that energy.
Crisis Core made me really love Sephiroth and feel pure sadness over his fall from grace. It feels like he could’ve been saved. He could have stayed a hero. He was such a nice guy.
I love him when I saw him in Smash... I heard he used to be good until he saw where he came from. It makes me feel sad that he is this sweetheart then just go insane in a minute... 😭
Still wrapping my head around the hilarious notion of Sephiroth having a cell phone and him sassilly closing it at the end of a call 😂
Like his relationship with Zach and his past memories are really wholesome compared to well … everything else 😂
Such a charming guy 😊😊😊
I still say we need a Final Fantasy VII game about young teen Sephiroth and his time fighting in the Wutai war
That's what Ever Crisis is promising, a look at young Sephiroth. It's too bad it's a gatcha ridden autoplay mobile game...
@thebeholdre2209
I know right???
@@Neer-yy5nmsomeone uploaded the First Soldier Ever Crisis story onto YT btw, man do some scenes feel like a gut punch 😞
When you find out your friends also didn't study for the math quiz. 😅
If Sephiroth stayed good, no villain in this universe would stand a chance against the good guys lol
thats the thing that i love about sephiroth. he was actually a great guy, he was the hero so long until he became the villian. the truth will set you free in the most horrible way imaginable in this story.
i cant even blame him for the psychotic breakdown. shinra destroyed the planet well before he came along, he just saw himself as the arbiter of the end.
Damn, Sephiroth was really one of the bros before going crazy after finding out about the experiments that made him. Fuckin' Shinra.
another reason to add to my list of "why Sephiroth is my favorite character"
Damn it, he could have been saved.
I love that Crisis Core showed Sepiroth as the Hero he was louted as in the original FF7, before he lost his mind with the discovery of Jenova. Stoic, caring, and nearly unparalleled in skill.
I know this clip is about Seph, buy maaaan does Zacks "we're gonna fail" get me every time
Never thought I'd hear someone be so excited to fail at something.
then you have never hung around me lol
This part of Sephiroth will come back. I believe it. It may be just a glimpse, or even a full recovery before Jenova breaks his mind. But he will truly be back.
With the remake I'm wondering if there aren't two Sephiroths involved. Something definitely seems up.
I’m hoping for it. Or at least a second Sephiroth who’s more like his early Crisis Core self than his post-realization self. A hero and a good friend. He was such a good guy before he lost his mind…
@@eston3418 They will be going with the Gintama Route to make the Villian a "not evil" guy.
Zack literally screaming "AND WHAT???"
Sephiroth just pulling the flip phone away from his ear was too funny...😂😂😂
Zack: angeal is my friend! I can't kill him!
Sephiroth: he was my friend, to
He slowly lost his mind when he lost his two best friends
I never knew he would be so happy to fail 😂
Sephiroth: I live to protect my friends and the world around me.
Jenova: Sephy, it's time to punish the wicked humans
Sephiroth: Yes, mother.
Lol 💀
Sephiroth and Dias in star ocean 2 are. Similar. Dias is what Sephiroth would be if he was a good guy
They had to make Seph a bad guy because he was literally perfect ❤️
Why did they make the bad guy such a hottie i can t hate no matter what he does
Sephiroth is a nice guy, before he found out the truth
It KILLS me that Sephy was such a nice guy! Like... Crisis Core showed me a different light to him compared to the original FF7 game. It just breaks my heart that he just lost it one day. :(
Quite iconic for the fact how lies and the missing truth can turn deceived people or even former heroes into tragic monsters.
The new voice of Zack is starting to grow on me. 😂
Man, I wish I could hug Sephiroth
Edit: I'm gonna use Zack's enthusiastic phrase *_"AWESOOOMEE! WE'RE GONNA FAIL!_* whenever me and some other people we'll intentionally plan to fail something😂
Task Failed Successfully!
that hair is divine
I like how Zack has the speech of a kid but still understands things like a normal adult
Zack is lucky that One Winged Angel diden't startet after he yelled into Sephiroth's Ears.
Sephiroth is such a nice guy there is no way that he would destroy the world or something...
Zack. The man who celebrates failure.
To me he is the human form of, "The silence before storm"
Sephiroth: "The company training room. We used to sneak in there for fun."
*[cue the nostalgic, sentimental KH1 music]*
FF7 has a lot of Star Wars parallels so Sephiroth having some Anakin parallels is probably intentional.
"Don't talk to me in that tone young man."
I played og crisis core on my psp......sephiroth was such a chill dude he is actually the most normal and the most ordinary and the most regular guy on that game , he act react and behaving like a normal person would do......... Then he found the "truth" and lost his mind.... Goddamn tragic dude, GODDAMMIT!!!
Seph was a cinnamon role before Jenova and Hojo completely destroyed his life man , I want my Cinnimon role back 😢😭
Crisis Core Sephiroth is effing _baby_ I can't-😢😢
Zack sounds like sonic in this.
Sephiroth was the tip of the Shinra/SOLDIER spear, but he wasn't really evil until the Nibleheim Incident removed his humanity.
It was only afterward learning of his past that he became a monster - I actually felt kind of sorry for him after playing Crisis Core.
It's bits like this that make his fall into madness and Jenova more painful. But he had to be put down, like Old Yeller.
For real 🥺 it's So sad.
It was then, when his ear drum was blown he knew…he would destroy them.
Sephiroth has a flip phone.
Just making that statement.
The most intimidating and dangerous living thing in this universe carries and *uses* a flip phone
Probably a Nokia too

Sephiroth: The things I do for these kids...
Sephiroth redemption story. I’m calling it.
Thanks a lot, Shinra and Hojo. You bastards made Sephiroth go from a good boi to a madman…
I always had an abridge idea in my head that after Zack screamed “AND WHAT?!” Sephiroth answered, “Then we get pizza.” Everything else funnily follows afterward
We dont blame Sephiroth for losing his mind. But we Blame a fucking scientist for this.
When the insanity didn't kick in
Sephiroth is such a tragic villain. He truly was a gentle person, I feel like if Shinra had just been honest with him, things would have been different. The same goes for the Angeal and Genesis as well.
This why this man makes me feel so sad! He was so sweet before he lost his f***ing mind.
Zack: for real?!
Ryuji Sakamoto: are you challanging me?
I refuse. I REFUSE to believe a person who could be this compassionate could fully lose his mind by one discovery
All it took was one moment for Jenova to take over
Actually it was years in the making, His father abused and Experimented on him, He was used as Shin-ra’s weapon and No one took care of him emotionally.
