So fun to hear your plans fellow Sarah. You have plenty of yarn for a Musselburgh with that one skein, I’ve knit a couple and c400m of fingering is perfect to make it with enough to fold/slouch

I have knit several mussleburough hats with just one skein of fingering (400-430 yards). It works perfectly with very little waste.

So great to see your entry into podcasting. Love your knits and format. Just remember, to engage wth ppl watching you need to look at the lens not at yr phone. It's off putting when podcasters look to the left of right or below etc because it causes a disconnect with us. Thank you for shaRing and inspiring us xx

1 skein should be enough for a Musselburgh, it's usually a pattern that turns up in all the 1-skein-videos :D Also, I have knit this before (in adult large for a man) and I only needed 382 yards, although he didn't want the roomyness on top of the head. But I figure you'd probably make a smaller size, so I wouldn't worry about the yardage, even if you want room on the top :)

Knitty Natty / Love in Stitches has knit several Mussleburough hats, just finished one recently in the past two weeks. She has a lot of content in her UA-cam channel so it might be hard to figure out if she's answered your question specifically in one of her podcasts, but she's really good about answering questions so DMing her could be quicker
