As has been correctly stated in previous posts, this woman is not Valerie Bertinelli. Her name was Maryann Frushon. I remember seeing her comments on this very same clip around the time Bobby Welch passed away paying tribute to him. I believe she passed away in 2014 aged 58. RIP to both and thank you for this legendary song.
@@cynthiad3023 No she was no actress. I read somewhere and I can't remember exactly where it was that it was by pure chance that she got the gig on this clip. She happened to be dating one of the sound engineers from the record company that Bob was recording for at the time and that's how she got the part. She had done a small amount of modelling work to this point. It's a shame her career didn't kick on after her appearance on this clip as I think she was a very pretty woman and could've done well with the right guidance as you say and opportunities.
I grew up in the seventies, this is one of my favorite songs of that period. That and "Sentimental Lady". Those two songs bring back such wonderful memories!
Whether Bob Welch would be part of Fleetwood Mac or not. He proved to them that he moved on without them. Even though he had only two hit songs he still put out a great album in 1978.
Gawd.... Freshman in High School. Winter of 78-79. Getting ready for school. It's 15 degrees out and snow covers everything and this is playing on WRKO While me and my sisters are getting ready for school and Mom is leaving for work. Great memories. Thanks for the post!

Your eyes got me blind

That I'll be holding you close tonight
She was the same as a hundred ladies
But when my eyes looked at her, I learned
That she was keepin' a secret fire
And if I got real close, I'd burn
So, it looked like I had to move slowly
Like a cat at night in the trees
'Cause I was waiting for her to show me
The way that she liked her love to feel
Your eyes got me dreamin'
Your eyes got me blind
Your eyes got me hopin'
That I'll be holding you close tonight
Your eyes got me dreamin'
Your eyes got me blind
Your eyes got me hopin'

An amazing song which I always thought ironically had an E.LO. flavor to it.
Oh wow you RIGHT !!!❤❤
As has been correctly stated in previous posts, this woman is not Valerie Bertinelli. Her name was Maryann Frushon. I remember seeing her comments on this very same clip around the time Bobby Welch passed away paying tribute to him. I believe she passed away in 2014 aged 58. RIP to both and thank you for this legendary song.
Shes way better than Val.
Although Frushon favors Bertinelli, it's obvious that she wasn't an actress. It's too bad that the director didn't give her more guidance.
I didn't know that. Thx for clarifying..
@@Me-zw6jx No problem.
Back when music was music and not just noise. miss those days, but grateful we can listen to these classics here on UA-cam.
Oh, man. I loved this song when I was 7. 1977. Haven't heard it or thought of it till 2019.
I was 15 that year.
Another great seventies song I grew up with!
I grew up in the seventies, this is one of my favorite songs of that period. That and "Sentimental Lady". Those two songs bring back such wonderful memories!
He was a 3 hit wonder with the 2 above songs u mentioned & "Precious Love".
I love this song

Me too. I was born in 1965. He was awesome in Fleetwood Mac as well.
It's such a shame fleetwood mac didn't include him in the hall of fame induction. He was the genesis of the band early on.
Whether Bob Welch would be part of Fleetwood Mac or not. He proved to them that he moved on without them. Even though he had only two hit songs he still put out a great album in 1978.
I never knew that !
I agree
Poor fella

Takes me back to my childhood.I was only 2 when this came out.
1970 was a decade full of amazing music, full of stories, sad songs, disco, and songs that you will never forget! Nowadays, the songs don't last very long, and disappear quickly. I LOVE THE 70'S MUSIC!!!!!
Great song!!! Awesome guitar 🎸 and vocals!!! Awesome live in Vancouver Canada in '74!!!
The 70's were good times with good music...
