Just wanted to share something I made while drunk the other night. Easy burritos. Half a bag of frozen Potatoes O'Brian (or called Hash Browns with onion and peppers) A whole bag of frozen peppers and onions (fajita veggies), A can of Black beans and a can of corn. I also used some oil and minced garlic from a jar. SUPER easy. I have so much I'm going to freeze some. I'm not vegan so I had an egg and some cheese with mine, but for vegan you could leave that out and add more beans and avocado and greens, anything you want really. It was cheap and easy enough to make while drunk and crying. Oh yeah, I put spices and jared salsa in there too.

upcycling leftovers into new things is a budget stretcher. I just took leftover spanish rice and pinto beans and put in the food processor with crushed corn chips, oregano, cilantro, onion and garlic powder and some pickled jalepenos with their brine. Pulsed till blended (leave chunky for texture) and make into patties. Air fry 7-15 minutes depending on size and your fryer ( or bake). I served on a bun with cashew ranch and some roasted anaheim chili and lettuce. I do this bean/grain burger combo all the time with different varieties and spice profiles (soybeans and brown rice with green curry; white bean-sorghum and pasta sauce and italian seasoning, etc). And mushrooms of all varieties have gotten alot more expensive where I live (seattle), but button mushrooms still the least expensive of the varieties

You mix some water with some wood bbq pellets like making a dough, it becomes like thick mash potatoes of sawdust, then you crumble in some of the spores, then you jam it in a plastic bag, twist the bag up tight and then poke a few holes in the bag

This was great! I'm trying to do more meal prep and half the videos start with "cook 45 chicken breasts and roast some veggies." I actually just tried stir-frying tofu in place of sausage in a recipe and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was! White mushrooms and baby bellas are pretty cheap where I am, but I always forget to use them in time so I have strict rule to only buy them if I'm using them that day. I can get six 'ugly' bell peppers for 4.15 so they're one of my staple vegetables to bulk up meals instead. Thanks for the recipes!

Last week's batch was tofu, chickpeas, mushrooms, vegan sausage, and kale. They're the best way to use up stuff that needs using! I make 10-15 at a time and the actual time spent cooking is about the same as just making a couple burritos! Just takes longer wrapping to wrap them up. A+ highly recommend.

My husband and I neither one like cilantro, so I just swap it for parsley. Works out great. 💚

Mushrooms are the most affordable at HMart or my local Asian market. Right now is the only time we really are able to buy non-green bell pepper because our local grocery store has them for like .98c for all colors. My fave time of year haha

Thank you for the video, I'd also love to see some jackfruit videos! And don't move to Belgium for cheap mushrooms either!

BTW, I live on the coast of NC, USA. Oyster mushrooms are only a dollar more than baby bellas here if you want to visit. You can only find them at Harris Teeter too.

    Team Cilantro 😎
I recently found your videos and I think they are awesome. I liked all the recipes. 💖
I do have to say I cringed a little at the raw tortillas. I know the label says "cooked" but they are barely cooked. They're expected to be heated again before serving and that will finish the cooking. If you actually heat them up, you will see a difference in texture and flavor. The light golden brown spots and the smell let you know they're ready. I think you're missing out if you haven't tried them as they're meant to be eaten.

in the uk oyster mushrooms are £10.50 per kilo, oyster mushrooms are mainly grown here so thats why they're cheap (well kinda)
(edit:) this is good considering that a CAD is 1.55 of a pound

In Virgina whole white mushrooms are $3.74 for 16 Oz and sliced baby bells 16 Oz is $4.34
Haven't found any other kind of mushrooms
They probably are available at Fresh Market but everything is more expensive there and further away ( gas ⛽️prices ugh 😑)

Frozen spinach is the cheapest! Plus it ages less, so it's healthier and stores well. Field to frozen is my go-to, when it comes to most veggies and fruits.
