Great videos - 2 things missed - The WARRANTY on Rivian would be canceled in a Bankruptcy, and the company is not profitable - AND - FSD is going to better in the Cybertruck vs Rivian 100% - these are TWO BIG FACTORS. Yes, I like looks of Riv and specs good - but no *true* Warranty and no FSD makes it way less capable, and worse value.
The R1T is tiny in back seat and entire cab is tight. The bed is small. It’s a great truck for some people, like my dad but for me that runs a biz with my truck I need the Cybertruck. Plus I want a truck that gets updates, can completely drive itself and is made by a company that’s not losing money on every vehicle they sell. I think k the R1S is a better vehicle for Rivian. The R1T is not a real truck. But nice as an adventure vehicle and a great all electric vehicle to get people into battery electric vehicles. @nguyep4 if it comes which usually in Tesla's case, it's about 4 years out for any kind of a hardware update. Then you can do a new review. 2024 Rivian has a completely new motor and a computer and a lot of new other hardware which he doesn't even talk about in this review.
A couple of corrections. Rivian is the most aero but not the most efficient. Cybertruck is lighter than the Rivian. Bottom line both nice but do you want a mid or full size truck?

But, don’t underestimate how incredible Tesla software is. Tesla are doing a lot of shit right. They have a following for good reason. The model y wouldn’t be the best selling car in the world (without advertising) if it was a shit buying and owning experience.
It’s very very likely, that the CT will be far far better value for money in the coming few years. The rivian has consistently struggled to make money. Ie, consistently lost billions per year, getting better but…. (not sustainable)
There is also a small probability they won’t exist in a few years if they keep losing money hand over fist.
Enter the benefits of cast chassis and in house manufacturing.
The CT is early days and doesn’t have the fancy interior, but presents a very compelling truck moving forward.
Let’s not forget one of the best selling 4x4 on history is the Toyota landcruiser which still sells with manual windows, and 2 speakers.
You don’t want all that fancy shit in a work truck. Especially a company car. Simplicity, reliability and cost is EVERYTHING.
Tesla is one of the only manufacturers reducing vehicle prices when everyone else goes up.
Magbak looks GREAT! But the site deletes my cart when I order... will try again soon :D
If I have to get one, then R1T. It's easier to repair the eyesore.
Now do this vs the refresh Rivian
The R1T is tiny in back seat and entire cab is tight. The bed is small. It’s a great truck for some people, like my dad but for me that runs a biz with my truck I need the Cybertruck. Plus I want a truck that gets updates, can completely drive itself and is made by a company that’s not losing money on every vehicle they sell. I think k the R1S is a better vehicle for Rivian. The R1T is not a real truck. But nice as an adventure vehicle and a great all electric vehicle to get people into battery electric vehicles. I hope everyone gets an electric vehicle as they are amazing and great for our children’s future with the earth! No one cares about the earth, but we need to.
Rivian all day over ct
R1S
Cybertruck is actually a new design. Visibility is great, it’s also big and bed is great, has 220 outlets. I like old truck designs, current designs are boring jellybeans that all look the same. I’d get a cybertruck but never selling the 05 Tundra.
Rivian all day
Chris is not reviewing the updated R1, which, as I hear, is 10 times better than the outgoing R1, puts it ahead of Cybertruck in output specs and gets smoother and quieter, forget about quieter looks for a second.
@@italianoftheeast2481What about when CT gets its update and improvement? Most Gen 1 gets better in time.
@nguyep4 if it comes which usually in Tesla's case, it's about 4 years out for any kind of a hardware update.
Then you can do a new review. 2024 Rivian has a completely new motor and a computer and a lot of new other hardware which he doesn't even talk about in this review.
Says people who have never been in a cybertruck 🤣
@@maximusjoseppi5904 Or Rivian, its called preference
Rivian 100%
I purchased a rivian r1t
Rivian’s interior is superb but UI, mobile app and drive assistance are years away from Tesla.
I prefer the different look of the Cyber Truck, don't care for the traditional look of the R1
Yeah so unique
Neither. Rivian R3X or cybertruck 2.0.
Cybertruck any day for me😊
A couple of corrections. Rivian is the most aero but not the most efficient. Cybertruck is lighter than the Rivian. Bottom line both nice but do you want a mid or full size truck?
Where are you seeing that CT is more efficient?
Cybertruck obvious but when it get cheaper then I will buy one the Rivan R1T look like any other truck electric or gas
Cybertruck is bulletproof yeah. But i could take a bullet for the cybertruck. 😊
A refrigerator on 4 wheels NOTTT!! Rivian all day
lol the coping is real.
@@HKFIJIHK So is the refrigerator
🤣
Quad motor Cybertruck?
Why stop there ? How about 5or 6 ?lol
Rivian because its looks like a real truck
old school....
Old schools very common looks
Yes it looks like everything else on the market
Shallow comment is why CT will over take in sale
I heard the Rivian R1T weighs more then the cybertruck.
have the mylr probably going for r1s next
Does the cyber fit in any normal garage ?
Yes it's similar size to an F150 or Silverado. Not that big.
The Rivian has a better curb appeal and the price is below $100k.
Cybertruck for sure. Drive by wire and FSD(soon) will make it like a car from future, not just the look. If you want an old school truck, just get a RAM TRX, it is 100 times better than Rivian.
Rivian has a driver assist already. Cybertruck doesn't.
Rivian is far away from FSD. CT has FSD, just not yet activate yet because the all new WIRE system is so advance, needs to be re-train.
@@derricklin3062 Drive by wire is not "so advanced". It has existed for decades. Other automakers just choose not to use it.
@@TroySavary that is a totally diff design, dig deeper and you will know. other makers do not use it for a reason, because they can`t make it good enough and safe enough to use. For short, test drive it first and you will know what I am saying, it is a totally new world. I have this truck for few months, was planed to sale it right before pick up, but after the first drive, I sold my Bentley GT. LOL
@@derricklin3062 Other car makers are smart enough to keep a physical link so if the car dies, you can still steer. Making something less safe is not an improvement. Don't claim it can't happen, because it already has.
Cybertruck is great offroad, better build quality. The riven just feels like toy in comparison.
there are body panels flying off cybertrucks. that doesn’t sound like better build quality to me
@@trustinwockhardt drastic new design that needed more locktite, pretty simple fix. Just take your truck in for service... plenty of rivian issues speaking as someone that owns both.
Wait, are you implying that Rivian is not good off-road? Isn't it the only stock EV to complete the Rubicon trail?
@@paulbram2 it’s fine off road but it’s not a durable as the 📐 cyber truck
@@scramble45 take a close look at the brakes and suspension systems side by side then let me know which you think is more durable.
“The Cybertruck has no curves” Have you heard of wheels. They are round, a circle some might say, and what is a circle but a continuous curve. Challenge me. I dare you.
facts
Cyber truck is a no brainer
Rivian all day. I off-road and do overland. Model 3 is my around town car and R1T is my adventure car. Cybertruck also just looks ugly to me.
True
Watch some cybertruck vs rivian offroading videos with the current software.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I don't need to. Rivian has beaten the most capable off-road gas vehicles. Rivian being an off-road beast is a known fact. Liking Tesla doesn't mean you have to automatically choose only their cars. Also, It beating the Rivian in a random YT video doesn't change the fact that I don't like how the car looks.
@@Sw33tBabyRays that's true
Depends what’s in important for you:::
For many safety is an important consideration….so CT gets a vote
The Rivian is the only pickup truck with a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS.
Thorough review. Cybertruck better offroad and onroad for me and stainless steel won't scratch, dent. Great shots in and out while moving. Not easy great work.
Welp, standard is out now
Elon just need to be more humble and listen to his customers attentively and his products will be by far the best.
How about ICE F-150 do everything at 1/2 the price
cybertruck has crazy good steering wheel drive by wire
Despite many polarizing online comments and reviews, Cybertruck is 95% WOWS and positivity in the real world. The Cybertruck causes gawking…people walk up ask questions, take photos, wave and video as you pass. Especially the kids get it! Big grinning kids do thumbs up and jump up and down.
Drive a Rivian into a Buckees, and few will notice. The Rivian is nice but will be an after thought.
The Cybertruck is iconic. The Cybertruck is going for the green like in Tin Cup. The Rivian is a layup.
Some people are layups and that’s ok. However I’m going for the green!

@@444thunderstr0keSame reaction to the Rivs when they hit the road 2+ years ago. And even today, so many thumbs up and questions and pleas to see inside.
Lol, so you want to buy something to impress others? You must realize this is a very temporary phenomenon just because CT is so new.
@@philnwafor9140politely the Riv never received anywhere near the reaction of Cybertrucks
@@paulbram2if one buys a dress suit what is the point? Is it to make an impression? Of course I want to impress others. Of course after 300,000 of these are on the roads, the gawk phenomenon will end, as all things do. However I LOVE this truck. I like driving it better than and S class Mercedes or a Panamera Turbo. It’s groundbreaking, polarizing, DIFFERENT, and even initiated you to post this comment about it.
Cybertruck is a future classic Rolls Royce with lower maintenance requirements that also happens to be a pickup truck.
I own the R1S. I love rivian more than tesla. But i dont like the look of r1t. Something seems off. But also dont like the cybertruck hahaha
Really? You need to make this video? There is NO comparison!
LIGHTNING for NOW.
Rivian R1T is better.
I can't even imagine the type of person that would prefer a rivian 🤣 they're the people who go to starbucks and vegan restaurants haha. Cybertruck is cooler in every way
Rvian! Not a cybersheep
Neither, I will take lexus GX550 or better yet Ineos Grenadier over the two. And I own 2 Teslas. EVs too heavy and a lot less articulation.
Silverado ev :)
One word: GIGAFACTORY. Rivian loses $32,595 for every vehicle sold! That's not sustainable in the long term. Tesla makes 20% on each CyberTruck. VW had to throw Rivian a $5 billion lifeline to keep them afloat. I wouldn't want to be stuck with a Rivian once EV credits expire and they declare bankruptcy. Rivian is on borrowed time.
Cyber Truck because Rivian looks ugly.
CT all day. Rivian will not survive
Rivian has nothing on the Cybertruck. From toughness to comfort to performance the Cybertruck gaps it.
Neither. EVs are lame ducks. A head officer of Rivian just sold his entire company stock.
Tesla MY owner here: Every time I see a CT, I vomit a little bit :)
Rivian all the way, tesla truck is trash for actual truck things.. and not to mention now that Elon is off the rails crazy, i regret buying a tesla
🥱

of course Rivian, tesla truck is ugly.
