I've had to drive through complicated intersections with a lot of traffic including a car intruding into my lane and construction areas with workers. The first time I used it it made a turn too wide turning onto my street but later that day coming home again it turned beautifully . It seems like it learned. It's been flawless.

I don't get where people are saying the CyberTruck is not a good work truck. Expectation is that a 20 year old cyberTruck exterior will be made to look new few hours w/o a bodyshop. It has the range needed for farmers, contractors and service people. The bit about reaching into the box is garbage. Try that on any 4WD especially a 3/4 ton. Yes I subscribed ! LOL
I completely agree with you! We’ve been operating a fleet of Tesla vehicles for all our coffee deliveries across Texas since 2019, and we added our first Cybertruck to the fleet in April. It’s been incredible-handling heavy loads of green coffee, towing trailers, and even powering our bakery’s refrigerators for a week after the last hurricane knocked out power here in Houston!

I’d love to hear Sandy’s reaction now that FSD is on the Cybertruck. I’ve been using it for a few days and it is mind boggling! I’m an EV newbie, so that whole shock for the past month has turned my head around. The performance and comfort exceeded my already inflated expectations. It may not be a work truck, but it certainly covers all of my needs (I just finished hauling 15 yards of wood chips into a heavily wooded property and it’s maneuvering was mind blowing). I will make a comment on FSD - it is not perfect in my eyes and there are times when I do intervene. However, I have to concede that it may have more to do with my 5+ decades of driving muscle memory than FSD’s performance. I say this because I have the same impulses when anyone else is driving me around. FSD may simply be presenting me with a different perspective that I have to learn and understand. I have a suspicion that my interventions are simply premature impulse reflexes that I need to recognize and become less sensitive too. I have already had one harrowing situation where FSD was driving and we were at a stop sign with extremely poor visibility to the left (sharp angle with heavy foliage). I was watching like a hawk when it started to proceed and turned to the right to make sure things were still clear there. All of a sudden FSD initiated an emergency stop. I didn’t understand until a car driving well in excess of a safe speed came rocketing past me. I am fairly certain that if I had been driving I may have not noticed that idiot in time to avoid a collision. Now that I am thinking about it, I wonder if that is the type of event that the truck would have recorded and saved? I have to take a look.

That is/was a huge ask. Changing the culture of a 100 year old company is near impossible. The only ones who have made the change did so by creating spin offs. Don't recall where I heard that but it sounds right.
@@JoshWest247 People forget that Jim Farley only became CEO of Ford 4 years ago (Oct 2020) When we consider the timing, and the distance they are behind, some might call that a poison chalice? At least He (normally) comes with Tesla and a lack of Hubris not always apparent in the industry. . Next problems? 1) *SURVIVE* until the new products are out. . 2) Negotiate the "public" transition from ICE to EV, possibly during recession(?) . 3) Survive the *internal* transition (coughunionscough) while working towards a profitable *EV* lineup. . etc

I have used FSD starting 2017 with my model X now with a 2024 Model Y with FSD. FSD level 3 is outstanding. Sold my Model X to my son. My model X never been to device center. Only maintainance have been tires and wiper fluid.

I wish Tesla would expand and get into Autonomous/Piloted City Drones, that is the Next Frontier and breakthroughs are happening as we speak, The Jetsons have arrived, I won't be surprised that the Chinese will dominate that as well.

Depreciation on a 2022 Tesla model s plaid - just 37,000 miles $46,400. Some claim it’s even falling apart. Total when bought new $140,940 🤯 Actually before anyone just jumps how bad VWs are has anyone tested the 2024 VW ID4 RWD pro S with the new SK battery, it’s almost perfect starter EV! Sandy was very forthcoming about the fact that plenty of companies are doing great work in the EV space. Their numbers (except for BYD) are not close to Tesla. But that could change. I'm hoping we see some prospects of a new model or two in the song and dance tomorrow. AI and robots might help a few rich people get even richer, but they are not going to accelerate the transition to renewable or sustainable energy. In fact, they would slow it down quite a bit.
My biggest complaint is range (they should have kept it closer to the promised 500+ mile) in the rural west, and not having a rear-view split screen mirror or at least wiring for it.
I wonder if we’ll see an aftermarket review mirror display. With the new V4 charging announced at 500 kw. The range extender equipped trucks should recharge quite quickly at a 470 Mile total range.
@ the range extender takes up to much bed space and can’t just be installed/removed for long trips. The after market mirrors are not as good as built-in. Ideally Tesla as a minimum would have provided a tap-in for a camera above the bed.
Eventually, yes - but direct competition would have prevented any other company from getting off the ground with EVs, and it is to Tesla's advantage - for political reasons - to NOT be a monopoly.

@@rogerstarkey5390 It is often said, though I don't know if it is true, that VW makes 50% of its profits in China. And their sales in China are falling dramatically. So financially that must hurt. However why I think Sandy is concerned about VW relates to their ownership structure. Its a bit like the UN. All those vetos and the like ensure nothing important gets done. The same goes with VW's myriad ownership structure.

Surprisingly Teslas learn your habits fast whether be superchargers or when you don't wish to go under certain percentage. I used auto park in my CT into my garage space once after the update, today it park itself after the garage door opened. I got nervous while parking it myself with distances or whether I'll hit my mirrors, so it was few minutes of checking and rechecking the screen to see if I have to take over but it parked much better than I could ever do it myself.
Google says, "The Tesla Cybertruck has not been crash tested by the NHTSA or IIHS, but it is expected to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards. However, some safety experts have concerns about the Cybertruck's safety for pedestrians and occupants." Amazing that Sandy doesn't consider this a negative?
Google is limited by the information it is fed. Because Google is unaware of an event does not mean it did not happen it just means the information has not been added to its database. I’m still waiting to get a Tesla next year. There are quite a few other EV’s, a number that are cheaper than Tesla, but I don’t just want to replace ICE with EV, I want a technology platform that can be a copilot for me on the road. There is no one other than Tesla that is advanced enough in this area.

Why does Sandy insist that Cybertruck is not a work truck? What is it lacking? It can do everything a work truck can do and also can do things typical work trucks cannot. Seems to me that Cybertruck is the best work truck on earth.
Sandy has had a lot of experience with the Lightning in commercial use and the fact that many of its parts are off-the-shelf F150 parts makes them easy to replace and plus things like the power mega frunk with power outlets helps. I have used FSD starting 2017 with my model X now with a 2024 Model Y with FSD. FSD level 3 is outstanding. Sold my Model X to my son. My model X never been to device center. Only maintainance have been tires and wiper fluid.

Actually before anyone just jumps how bad VWs are has anyone tested the 2024 VW ID4 RWD pro S with the new SK battery, it’s almost perfect starter EV! Size, range , power & comfort, charges at 175kwh peak.

Sandy was very forthcoming about the fact that plenty of companies are doing great work in the EV space. Their numbers (except for BYD) are not close to Tesla. But that could change.
I'm hoping we see some prospects of a new model or two in the song and dance tomorrow.
AI and robots might help a few rich people get even richer, but they are not going to accelerate the transition to renewable or sustainable energy. In fact, they would slow it down quite a bit.
If you look at the reflection on the side of cybertruck it's wavy. There's a reason no vehicle has flat panels.
I'm the only genius that noticed this.

My biggest complaint is range (they should have kept it closer to the promised 500+ mile) in the rural west, and not having a rear-view split screen mirror or at least wiring for it.
I wonder if we’ll see an aftermarket review mirror display. With the new V4 charging announced at 500 kw. The range extender equipped trucks should recharge quite quickly at a 470 Mile total range.
@ the range extender takes up to much bed space and can’t just be installed/removed for long trips. The after market mirrors are not as good as built-in. Ideally Tesla as a minimum would have provided a tap-in for a camera above the bed.
Tesla left a huge amount of money on the table. They need a plain vanilla pickup truck in their lineup.
Eventually, yes - but direct competition would have prevented any other company from getting off the ground with EVs, and it is to Tesla's advantage - for political reasons - to NOT be a monopoly.
Breaking news to constructioneer...... Tesla does't make boring cars.

However why I think Sandy is concerned about VW relates to their ownership structure. Its a bit like the UN. All those vetos and the like ensure nothing important gets done. The same goes with VW's myriad ownership structure.

Surprisingly Teslas learn your habits fast whether be superchargers or when you don't wish to go under certain percentage. I used auto park in my CT into my garage space once after the update, today it park itself after the garage door opened. I got nervous while parking it myself with distances or whether I'll hit my mirrors, so it was few minutes of checking and rechecking the screen to see if I have to take over but it parked much better than I could ever do it myself.
Google says, "The Tesla Cybertruck has not been crash tested by the NHTSA or IIHS, but it is expected to meet federal motor vehicle safety standards. However, some safety experts have concerns about the Cybertruck's safety for pedestrians and occupants." Amazing that Sandy doesn't consider this a negative?
Google is limited by the information it is fed. Because Google is unaware of an event does not mean it did not happen it just means the information has not been added to its database. Agree, if you have technically competent engineers and the output needs to change isn't that a leadership/management issue to solve ? Every time there is a software glitch you are going to be at the mercy of a contractor ? I can't see that ending well.

IMO, the cyber truck could be much more successful if it were styled to be more practical and boring like the Ford Maverick.

Why does Sandy insist that Cybertruck is not a work truck? What is it lacking? It can do everything a work truck can do and also can do things typical work trucks cannot. Seems to me that Cybertruck is the best work truck on earth.
Sandy has had a lot of experience with the Lightning in commercial use and the fact that many of its parts are off-the-shelf F150 parts makes them easy to replace and plus things like the power mega frunk with power outlets helps.
