I did enjoy your video of the alabaster hat---I've made hats for years & I will add this one to my collection of hats---I do make them & donate them to our Harvest House for the children --so thank you again for sharing this pattern--the kids will love this one too
Thank you for this tutorial! I was able to complete my first beanie hat :) Can't wait to make more!
Looks like a nice hat. Would have been good to see it on someone to see the fit.
Fun and easy peasy!!
This is such a beautiful hat, love it.
Thank you so much!
Such a cute hat ...you were very easy to follow.
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing. Made a hat and I like it alot.
You're welcome! I'm glad you like it!
I just watched the video and it is SO easy to follow! I'm fairly new to crochet and in my area there are no yarn shops or classes available to I have to depend on videos like this. Thank you so much for putting this out and for making it so user friendly! I can't wait to start this project. It will be my first beanie..... I'll let you know how it goes! 🙂
You're welcome! I'm so glad you like it!
Hi, I really like your hat. I have a question. Why don't you work as many single crochets around the band as you did rows of the band (in your example 73 rows)? I like to understand the design principles. Thank you!
I found that for a 20" band 60 sc gave the right fit and just enough slouch. I think 73 sc around would give a bulkier look and this particular yarn doesn't have the best drape.
Beautiful hat. 15 rounds gives gives me hight 7 inches. I am little confused because I made 9 inches as you said and this is much more rounds.
Could you please explaine what height of the hat should be? Is this about different styles eg. 9 inch is for slouchy beanie ? And 15 rounds for smaller beanie? Thank you for your beautiful project 🥰 thank you from the mountains 🥰
Hi! Why does the body of my hat look like donuts instead of the way it should? Did I do something wrong?
It still looks good though
Hmm I'm not sure. Maybe tighter tension?
@@croydencrochet I did it soft but maybe not soft enough?
I’m working on 2 of these hats, but I have a question, I’m on the band, but I’m having a hard time counting the single stitches.
Is each section 2 rows of single?
I would suggest using a stitch marker if you have one. This will allow you to keep track of your stitches :) Sometimes it helps to put a marker at every 10 rows.
@@croydencrochet but is each section 2 rows of singles?
@@marygunter9614 I'm not sue what you mean by "sections."
