I loved the slow-motion shots from 2:10 to 2:15. It really shows the vibration of the bow strings during the shot. I am wondering if there is more vibration of the bow string with a lighter arrow vs a heavier arrow and what that would look like. To me vibration equals sound, so less vibration would mean a quitter bow.
You guys should do your own version of Project Farm. Take a scale and see how much force it takes to drag an animal (both head first and rump first) vs hanging weight. I've always assumed that dragging rump first/against the direction of the fur would be much harder but then again I haven't tried it.
I can confirm the pigs do know you are there. Most of the time they can hear the feeders go off or watch the feeders. The trick is to have more people approach hunting locations and the others continue to walk away or go back to the side by side. Pigs are smart but they can’t count.
Basically these hoghunts they do is basically a way of practicing and staying sharp for when fall comes and it's deer season and it's a win win cuz they still harvest lots of pork
'I dont see the north star', proceeds to look up and sees nothing but branches and leaves. LOL, this is actually a good point, you cant always see the stars to get your direction, take a compass heading before you go in folks, it'll save you, or someone else one day. The woods look different in the pitch black
Looks like fun times! Unfortunately Zack's shot look liked no man's land. Unless the arrow travelled downward to the other lung. Wild hogs have some strength in them. Next time again!
man I soooooo wish I could still shoot a bow! I miss bow hunting so much! thanks for the great vids guys and ladies! makes me feel I'm there with ya lol
@@MrsTrenid01 I have fished Kentucky Lake and driven thru LBL but no experience hunting there. Too long of a drive for me. Over 2 hours one way. Peabody is much closer but I don't hunt there either.
From my experience, I find that even with firearms, they don't always drop. We had a boar that made it 350yds. It was hit in the shoulder 270wsm. It was a 325-pound hog. It shows you how tough they are. I figure if Jake was there, he would have beat all of ya!
if they are only coming in to your feeder at night, try playing an am#fm radio at night,a battery powered one, and then go in at am and shut off for day, they will switch to days usually as belly out weights brain lol
Hogs are probably the only animals i wouldn't feel guilty about hunting on a feeder mostly because there's so many areas that part of country that are overpopulated and filthy with hogs! Csn only imagine what it would be like if they weren't hunted
Greg love the new camera, amazing editing and great shots! Can’t wait for the video where you break down your set up. I may have already asked this in the past…what are the chances of you doing an in person class on videoing hunts and the outdoors?
The reason that the first pig went so far is the tiny 2 blade broadhead. I much prefer a 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" 3 or 4 blade. That pig would've went half as far with a better broadhead choice. Jmo
Ive learned so much about hunting from this channel but the arrow set up thing i kinda get but then i see Tim Wells looking hogs and bear with a blow gun with a dart that prob didn't weigh 150-200 grains
This video proves that 2 blade heads are best for really low draw weight and traditional archers. A bigger cut 3 or 4 blade and both pigs were done within 100 yards.
Their issues were entirely from poor shot placement, nothingto do with the broadheads. They're deer hunters, and those were good hits on deer, but hogs require you to put it low and between their front legs to anchor them inside 100y, preferably breaking one of them.
I love the content but was just wondering what the weight grain arrow and which single bevel broadhead did Zach use? I know what Warb was using because that was shown during the recovery. I watched Zach’s hunt a couple of times and didn’t see the specifics of what he was shooting. I thought that a high FOC arrow coupled with a super sharp single bevel broadhead is supposed to cut through the hardest bone every time.
Grey beard Greg’s camera work is second to none. Love that y’all take so much pride in the quality of y’all’s videos. So good
What are the economic impacts of invasive species on agriculture and forestry?
I would bet it has a major impact, but not as bad as a liberal
Gotta love them big boys..😂😅 Hogs aren't given enough credit when it comes to smarts. Love the Championship videos! 😊
Who knew buc'ees made hunting boot covers??? Believe in the Beaver!!
buc'ees for the win!
Is it just me , but doesn't ranch ferry look like the guy in those insurance commercials who plays mayhem??
I've always thought that he looks like he could be Lunkers dad or uncle
Na Guy Fearri😂😂😂😂😂
You make complex topics so easy to understand. 📚 Thank you for being an incredible educator!
This is 💯 why I quit shooting single bevels. Not enough blood or trauma. A good 3 blade all day. Enjoyed the content.
Absolutely!!!! There just not worth it
the feeder gets me everytime even if i know what time it goes off😂
Grew up about a 45min from Victoria. Hog hunting is an all year a fare. Love yall Texas videos. Not a lot of public hunting land.

I love the trips to Texas, they are always a good time!
Good luck boys!! I had lots of fun at the ranch, I just wish we had a pig come out to play. 😅

agreed!
Seeing those baby gobblers gets me pumped up! O ya one other thing, I know y'all fish! Lets see some off-season fishing vids
Like these videos for the off season! Thanks for the content guys!
Basically these hoghunts they do is basically a way of practicing and staying sharp for when fall comes and it's deer season and it's a win win cuz they still harvest lots of pork
My favorite uploads are always at ranch fairy’s!!!

Love these. I'm gonna make a rington out of Ranch Fairy's laugh
Beautiful photography as always.
Great content guys! After the hog hunts, then come deer hunting….keep’em coming guys!!!

You should try using a thermal monocular for tracking/scanning in the brush. Very handy for finding critters after lost blood trails.
Warbs dad fit is so crazy 16:40
😂😂 classic
It’s a one lung liver….never gets old!!🧨
Eating the hot peppers makes you Gotta go to the river to keep the woods from catching on fire!
love the deer stuff but these pig hunts are priceless!!!
Great video. Hogs are one of the toughest animals to hunt period.. And doing it with a bow adds another level of difficulty….
I wouldn't say toughest especially when there's dozens of em all over the feeder
There not alert what soever anywhere close to how a whitetail would be
Shout out to VICTORIA TEXAS!! Lotta family there!
Not much to learn from accidental successes. Mistakes and failures are the best teachers.
Thank you Captain Obvious 😂
@@spudkidmandudebro 😂😂
Do you guys ever hunt Kentucky portion of Land between the Lakes
@@MrsTrenid01 I have fished Kentucky Lake and driven thru LBL but no experience hunting there. Too long of a drive for me. Over 2 hours one way. Peabody is much closer but I don't hunt there either.
Great video! Congrats to the winners! 🏆Next time you’re in town let me know. We are in the Deep East Texas piney woods. 🤝
The Hog championship videos are my favorite.
Great videography shots, Greg!

Man... That's a tough loss. Great video and i always look forward to the RF hunts.
One of my favorite videos of the year!
When yall put bags on your feet it made me laugh because it reminded me of hunting my farm and trying to avoid the poop! lol
I look forward to this every year time to get ready for deer season
Like seeing the skill you guys have. Im gonna check the status in Alberta's hog situation. 👍
Great video glad to see you guys back down there with ranch 😊

I really want to meet Jake when he comes back to Wisconsin for gun Deer hunting this year.
My favorite videos are with ranch fairy this is a great every year trip

wish i couldve seen warb that morning after the hot ones challenge haha
That was a good shot.
Looks like some serious fun on so many levels.
That's a lot of test lab volunteers. Wonder if they make hog dogs for tracking?
Looking forward to gregs deer hunts this year.

My boys miss seeing you guys!
I love you guys so glad you guys are back.
You know heavy arrows were slinging. 😂😂
Dude was definitely projecting a little bit with those team names lol
You had me at Ranch Fairy
Enough talk Zack, minus fifty!

Sure have missed you guys! Great video lots of fun!

Yay, a new upload😀
Love seeing uploads coming in!!
Hogs are different animals!!!
These are so fun to watch.
Killer vid THP does it again.
Y’all should come fishing in Port O Conner or duck hunting .
Yall ever coming down to south Florida to do some WMA hunting?, Florida is its own beast but I feel like it’s right up THP alley.

Thats looks like a lot of fun
next year you should have someone use a mechanical. Im pretty sure you'll have the same success on 90 pound pigs.
Good stuff gentlemen.
Great vid fellas 🤙
Good stuff
Love the hog hunting episodes
What ecological strategies can be used to control invasive species?
Yal just out there in shorts like the mosquitos arent horrid
Thought you were going to have a veal there with that side by side!
Heck yeah love the hog videos
Keep up the awesome content 👏 👌
14:57 What led nock did you use? awesome power light
It feels like y'all just did this video gosh time goes to fast 😭😭😭😭

Manipulate the feeder so it doesn’t throw any corn to the side away from your stand
But waiting for this all year
14 yards and you shot high? Dude!!!! That sucks!!!
This is amazing. Sucks that you can only do it every once in a while
You need to get a drone for recovery!!!
You guys need too get you a thermal drone
This is awesome
Cool video. I live in Victoria Tx lol
People that don't shoot pigs don't get it. The kill zone on a big hog is incredibly small when you are bow hunting and they will test your equipment.
How do I book a hunt there ranch fairy, would love to hunt and make a video there of a hunt
Public land hog hunting coming up?
My goodness does ranch fairy do turkey hunts lol ?
Yall had vacation! Ok
Yessir let's gooooooooo!
Been waiting on this here video boy's
SC mountains miss yall 😂
Is it just me or did i hear some Bobwhite quail in the background😄
Can y’all make more hog video’s
What nocks are you using?
