    The couch arrived in two boxes four days early, which was great because we'd just moved into a new house and needed places to sit. My son and I put it together pretty quickly ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxitRzxya-XugamYgLwa_2G1gxPg4MCJHa . Another reviewer suggested inserting the seat into the side and I'm glad they did as the instructions weren't clear on that matter. It's incredibly light and slides easily across the wood floor, making it easy to move. It's firm, but comfortable. It will even be great to nap on. I got the gray, which definitely has strong blue undertones, but I'm okay with that.

    The opening scene looks just like it does in South East Tx.
    We had a young lady with us that took her first hog at 40yds.perfect quartering away shot and anchored him right where he stood.Took out both lungs and heart.
    The landowner/guide was with her and said it was the Best shot he’d ever seen-PERIOD.

    I've been there, lost in a 20 acre lot of thick turkey palms. At night everything starts looking the same especially in unknown areas or tracts where you don't have the natural instinct of n, s, e and west like you would on your own tract.

    Lol, I don't think I woulda left the story about getting lost in the vid. My grandpa would rise up outa the grave and kicked my ass. He taught me "direction and bearing" before I ever toted a firearm (6yrs old). I'm sure you know how to mark your travel path in the woods, and you got a reminder of that the hard way on this trip lol. Used to be it was suggested to use a blade to mark direction, but I don't like skinning a bunch of trees up. A small can of florescent paint from the dollar store works great (Blaze Orange, Chartreuse, or something along those lines). It's small, and can easily fit in your pocket...plus, the florescent stuff sticks out like a sore thumb in low light. Lol, we've ALL gotten boogered up in the woods at one time or another...if somebody says they've never gotten "turned around", they're lyin lol. Be safe and enjoy the pork.

    For hunting and tracking in that kind of thick stuff a hang up battery powered strobe is a handy item to have on hand. Hang it high from a known point and you can almost always find it with a little movement. We have done similar when navigating backwaters at night running trotlines in standing timber by leaving the interior light on in the truck cab. Just an idea from an old guy that has been turned around more than once in indistinguishable terrain that all looks the same with no moon.

    I see this video posted almost two years ago. Still, whenever I take my camera to take pictures or make videos, I always being extra batteries. I have an older model Canon A470 PowerShot that uses 2 AA batteries. It has a socket for an external power supply and if I ever find a plug I will make a battery pack with a large 12 volt battery and a voltage regulator to put the output at 3 volts.

    What’s up man. You guys look like me out there! Been turned around a few times. Even in a neighborhood, people don’t understand how easy it is. We now spoil our mason line (string) behind us when trailing. Just a tip!

    I am glad y'all weighed the boar and reported it in the video. Had my serious doubts about the 300 statement made when you first found him. Recently killed a 300+ boar, (took the 300 lb spring scales approx 15-20 lbs past the 300 mark) it was considerably larger compared to us puny humans.

  • @silenceofthehams6902

    Hey liked the video. I live in N. Fla. and love to hog hunt. I know what you mean about getting in palmettos at night like that. I had blood trailed a hog I shot one night way back into the thick shit. Trail ran out and it started to rain. Tried turning around and heading back out. Went to open the GPS up on my phone to get my bearings and my phone died. AHHH! I ended up walking in circles at first until I came across bamboo. I knew I was near the creek so I kept that on my right and found the fire break. 3 hours turned around in some nasty claustrophobic stuff. As I was heading down the firebreak my head lamp started to flash meaning low battery. Oh if that had happened I would have been spending the night. It was so dark you literally couldn't see your hand in front of your face. Oh and IF I had gone in the wrong direction, I had 10,000 acres of dense woods and swamp to my south. Now I carry a survival compass, water and spare light oh and a fire starter and bug repellent and make sure my "new" phone is charged a 100% before heading off into the woods.

      There are plenty of Boar in the forest of dean and the new forest, however you can't use a bow and you will need the permission of the landowner and of course the correct firearm certificate.

    • @blythemajors9193
      @blythemajors9193 4 роки тому +3

      Yeah hunting in the UK is shit. In the sense of how difficult it is to get a firearms license and permissions and costs. Wealthy land owners etc. I would much prefer to have the freedoms they have over in the US any day of the week. To be able to bow hunt would be amazing. But no, you have to go to countries with common sense for that as so many people in the UK believe that hunting is bad. Idiots. Oh well.

    That looks like a spot I used to hunt in Jax FL behind the Movie Theatre with that little creek back there that's perfect hunting area LoL hogs Galore you cant eradicate them with a bow if you wanted to they reproduce so many so fast it's crazy. Thats why the Spanish brought them over to make sure they had food and they are extremely good eating I prefer them over Deer venison. Nice hunt bud u smoked em. I recomend trying the 2blade 2" Rage broadhead personally vs any 3blade mechanical the way they open it's easy for them to get hung up on hair or meat. I get them to drop in 10yds with the 2" Rage everytime one time out a perfect heart shot on a 80lb eater and it did a full backflip then ran about 2yds and dropped never seen that before, also dropped my first buck in 7yds that's why I use them they dont run like a fool in the palmettos with barely any blood trail to where you gotta track them more then 30yds. Even with a bad placed shot the entrance wound is so big they cant recover from it and drain so much blood its impossible not to find the blood trail you wont get lost using the Rage in the Cage or the heart its lights out. I have got lost at night doing the exact same thing by myself in the FL swamps and had to sleep in the woods till morning light because those palmettos are no joke you can easily get lost in the middle of a big patch of them because they all look the same and in those FL swamps it's easy to do circles and freak out. Lol
