- Steven Rinella and Cameron Hanes archery hunt for wild hogs in Texas. It's mid winter and before they sit down to record episode #522 of the MeatEater Podcast, Steve and Cameron take advantage of the excessive wild pig population on a south Texas ranch. #fueledbynature #meateater

Miss these ME hunting videos. The podcasts are great but the hunting show is the bread and butter.
Show is on UA-cam now. Seasons just like Netflix only now episodes come out weekly and not all st once
episodes are also on Amazon Prime.
Hundred likes from me
I was moved and impressed with Cam laying a comforting hand on that hog during its final moments, shows true compassion as a hunter and that's commendable.
I mean I guess. But if someone fatally shot me, I don’t think I’d want them patting me as I slipped away.
I was just looking at the balls on that thing when it was on his shoulders 😂
Cams reverence for the animals he takes even for a hog is impressive
The collaboration we all been waiting for. The calmer version of David Goggins with the Anthony Bourdain of hunting/hunting shows. It's like seeing MJ and Kobe being on the same team. Love this.
Rinella getting up with that pig on his back is like how my old man gets off the couch.
with you on his shoulders ?
Cam: Steve's a killer.
Also Cam: lays a hand on the pig so he can feel him go to heaven. 😂😂
Yea it's pretty cool that he is a die hard hunter but also respects every animal he takes. True hunter in every sense of the word.
Big respect for always finding a moment to appreciate what has taken place, great hunters
I really love the addition of the Max and Seth's comments off/on camera. It makes the experience feel more real somehow. It also adds a lot of good laughs. I hope to see more like this is the proper episodes of the show. The behind the scenes episodes are always fun
Hello from Georgetown, Texas
This is this the best show so far this year.
That call at the beginning made my dog come running up to me
Is it a blood dog? My bird dog ran in his kennel lol We live among those beasts and he knows they'd rip his ass in half. Sometimes Amazon brings his food to the door and they're the only porch pirates we've dealt with. If we leave a box of food in the stoop, they'll come ruin a whole bag with their stink. He won't touch the food they get in to.
That custom top-off square body Blazer is awesome. I was so distracted by it lol, I wish I could learn all about that thing. Very cool!!
Me and my dad enjoy the meat eater crew thank yall ❤
I loved this. Thanks so much for posting this hunt, it really was good enough for an episode of Meateater. Looks like you guys really hit if off and I would love to see more of you and Cam hunting in the mountains. Love the show, I love the podcast and everything ya'll do make me a better hunter....................
Excellent! The way you handle hunting situations is so professional and refined.
Love cam. Hope y’all hunt together again. Bro helped me turn my life around through bow hunting.
Me too brother
Makes us 3
good huntin fellas. interesting seeing these pigs out and about in the middle of the day. the first group didn’t even really react when their boy got smoked
“Don’t worry boys it was just Hank”
Their fluid movements and precise aim make this marksman a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, like witnessing poetry in motion.
cam hanes' nonchalantness about carrying that pig is hilarious
Both are awesome and very confident in them selves deservedly so. Two different styles of hunting from two different places. Both are the best in what they do. Cam is hands down the best back country bow hunter and Steve is the best overall variety hunter. Both are awesome guys for the conservation effort. No need to pick a side they are on the same side so should we who support and watch them
cams fireman roll pig pick up is crazy, cant miss a chance for a workout lol
🎉🎉🎉the best channel on UA-cam. could go back to Netflix👏👏👏👏
Amen to that
Jason Matzinger and Brian Call: Gritty are tied for number 1 for me
More like dont go back to netflix. I’d simulcast to rumble
I wanna see the OG remi back hunting with Steve
Hopefully some day
Glad to see Cam and Steve hunting again
Cam is the coolest, I just don’t get while people hate on cam so much
Love it. Two of my favorites- Meateater and Cam Hanes!
Nice to see Steve and Cam getting together. I think Rogan was supposed to be on that hunt but guess it didnt work out.
I once wrote to ME and asked why they never had Cam on the podcast. Competition? ME responded saying, "not competition, just a bit of a different space."
Cam was finally on to pitch his book Endurance and that episode seemed a little awkward and rushed. I think Rogan finally go them together.........
Cam! Take the damn broadhead out of the pig before you do your he-man hoist!!! 😁
Awesome episode! Two great hunters hunting together.
Always a fan. Pleasure to watch every episode.
all love from central switzerland
very cool hunt
Yeah Steve! Yeah Cam! Loved those haul-outs.👍
Do they not cook and eat at the end anymore? That's the main reason I'm here!
Yea as a hunter, packing/prepping/shopping food, soap, water, coal for the grill, etc. is boring and stressful. The confidence knowing you're prepared feels good. Conversations on the road, good tunes, good snacks are another high point. Then setup camp more suck. More good conversation and food/fuel to be ready to go. Then you hunt and hopefully fill your bag. THEN the best stuff stuff happens. They edited a lot of the best parts out. Maybe it's in the full show and this is just a teaser clip?
As a bowhunter Cam Hanes is definitely THE I wanna hunt with. Bow hunting with both of these guys would be a dream
Did he really ask cam hanes if he needs a hand😂😂. That's Cameron freakin hanes!!💪💪
Steve stalking those pigs with little cover… then kneeling to take a shot without being noticed… impressive
That looked like a ton of fun nice work you guy's !!
The distress call works great for squirrels in Northern Illinois
how does that work?
Love this. Do more with Cam, please. Something bigger/longer, maybe even with Joe on board.
Cam is a savage.
Thanks for posting
As a dogman and also a lover of ur show
Id love to see some content on all the different dogs used for hunting
Thank you Steven!
Dude, what was the laundry like after this one? You carry a dead pig around...you're doing the laundry on that. 😂
On the money Steve! I'm always on the look out for smaller hogs that can be scalded and scraped to put in my "Caja China" pig cooker. Skin on so you can get some nice crispy chicharron!
My buddy has one and buys the pig. When he hosts a party, he has to turn people away! Might be worth it for a small javy tag.
What happened to eating the animal at the end?
No kidding man that was the cherry on top
You don’t want to eat a wild pig 😳EDIT: I'll have to try it some time then, I've never really considered eating them cause in Australia they're feral
@@OliverCampbell-wr6xx he ate a coyote
Steve was too busy picking ticks off the back of his neck
@@OliverCampbell-wr6xxdisagree. Plenty of ways to cook great wild hog.
Steve's laugh at the start sounded like a chicken 😆
Awesome hunt. Much respect from Hawaii
Two of my favorite hunters to watch. Excellent video.
So humble! What an awesome guy. Cam is a legend no doubt
This was AMAZING
This is very interesting especially for the fact I’m also going to start hunting thank you
Thank you for the bleasing
We need an expendables of bow hunting, Cam Hanes, Steve Rinella, Joe Rogan and John Dudley
rollin' LIVE with the javelinas
Cool video. Kinda short. Wanted to see the "eater" part of the Meateater video..
Undeniable, best 1-2 punch in the conservation/hunting industry. Y’all should def colab more often…great watch guys!
Loved the video...but I do want to see some cooking! :)
Cam dropped that pig right there. Nice work.
Great episode !
Great job guy to spot the broadhead quickly.
Putting new meaning behind a "piggy-back ride"
Look at cans compassion for the hunted. Comforting the beast for its last moments. True class act .🫡
Bring back the cooking at end
Nice shot Cam. Shoulder punch dropper! Rogan Hanes 2024!
Dude we need a full vehicle breakdown. That’s some custom sheet
Recording on vertical mode. Genious
We need to see the eating part
That’s nice of y’all to rehome those fleas and ticks.
Cam, are you hunting pigs with a Rolex on the wrist?? 😂
Diva's gonna Diva..
The duo, What we all been waiting on
Great hunt! But where is this? 🤔
🎉🏹Imagine the feeling seeing my two Greats in one video... 🇿🇦
Been in Texas for two years now and still trying to find a property like this to chase pigs……this isn’t helping my obsession either! Well done fellas
What part of Texas are you in?
@@CRGtx325i live in Central Texas, Austin in particular.

Welcome to Texas. Unless you know someone or pay out the ass, public hunting usually sucks in Texas. FYI, Texas is around 90% privately owned, so it's a tough state for public hunting.
You will also here lots of farmers and rancher complaining about hogs, but when you confront them about hunting them to eradicate their problem, they want to charge you for it. So, is it really a problem?
No snake boots in south texas? Do you have an under pant leg guard? Or do you fear no snake bite?
Serious question. I see these guys carrying these animals out on their shoulders all the time, but what about the ticks? I mean, I drag boar or deer out of the woods here where I hunt and still manage to get them on me, but these guys need to be absolutely covered in them, and sometimes they're out in the field for days. I know permethrin helps, as well as deet, but the first one is near impossible to get where I am, and the second isn't super reliable. Basically, what are they doing to deter the ticks?
You just deal with it. Depends how long the drag is. You can try shaking the hide down before you lift.
the way he said i want a lil pig
Big o’ll scrow on that first one😮
Butt plug shot at 12:06 😂
Good eye on the broadhead Seth!
Rolex Sea Dweller FTW!
I have the same problem with those Lucky Duck calls
What happened to the cooking part!?
shot lads, what a bloody racket that call makes
And 25% of the time, it works works 100% of the time 😉
@@branchandfoundry560 love it! Take my money hehe
When will meateater show continue??..seemed like a last season was kinda unfinished
Thanks for sharing. I want to know about that car!
I told them j channel isn’t the trim you use for what they are doing
might not work on the javelinas but it got my cats attention
Great seeing two of my favorite hunters getting together….now if you throw in Ted Nugent and maybe Joe Rogan it would be a HUGE hit on TV or internet…and the stories would be unbelievable. Great episode.
Steve and Ted don't like each other
@@SaintKines Ted was on meateater podcast. I think they have worked out their differences
@@bradbo3 really? Did they even mention their old feud? I didn't know that.
@@SaintKines they talked about disagreements, but it was civil. And Steve is a huge fan of Ted. Give it a listen.
@@bradbo3 I will
nice fun video Thanks!
11:04, Nilgai Skull.
I'd have to say so.
I thought it was really funny how "competitive" the MeatEater crew was -- like "Cam, crawl up there and show him how it's DONE!" and at the start, "Whose going to get a pig first? You?" "Oh, but you're the better shot, right?" and Cam was just like... "Nah they're doing great." and "Steve. No, I'm not the better shot. On a target maybe, but plenty of people..." just... it's just funny how you can see Steve's competitiveness in his team, and Cam is just kinda like... not into it... lol
It's more so just making conversation bud
As said - where is the cooking?
2 of my favorite hunter
Cam going to hunt turkeys next?😂
Damn Steve I didn’t think you were going to be able to lift that pig on your back for a second then bam 💥 powers through
Cam is a stud. The men the men of tomorrow need
Best roasters are little pigs...sub 100 lbs...skin on and shaved! Thats how I learned from the my dad who has been a butcher his entire life! That's some mighty fine eating!
At least Steve was smart enough to take the arrow out before wrestling the pig onto his back.
I guess if you don’t mind ticks in your hair, you can carry them on your shoulders
He asked if "is placing your hand on the dying animal and remaining silent for a few seconds a gesture of gratitude for the achievement or is it just to release the adrenaline in the moment?"
I would say it's a sign of respect as it dies. En mi opinión, es un acto de respeto y gratitud.
What kind of broad heads are they using??
Hanes is beast
I'm a fan! 😊
