- From Fairholmes Car park, you climb up some fairly steep steps through a woodland, onto the road alongside the Reservoir, there is a worn path in the verge for walkers to get out the way of cyclists and the few vehicles that travel along there. As you come off the road, you cross a stream and then, hike up to the moorland towards Alport Castles, some fantastic views; so peaceful, serene and beautiful as far as the eye can see. Traverse across the Moorlands,, good waterproof walking boots are highly recommended. You finish the walk in another woodland descending back down towards Fairholmes Car park.
