A couple of plodders making the most of their time, getting out and stretching our legs, filling our lungs and walking around the Uk’s countryside. By no means are we professional, but hope you enjoy our videos of our little adventures out and about 👍. Have a good day 👋
Lose Hill - Back Tor Loop from Castleton
A circlular walk from Catleton Car park, quite a steep climb up to Lose Hill, but nothing really tecnical; mind your footing coming back down from Back Tor as these stone steps are quite tricky and slippy. Good level of fitness required for this walk/hike.
Lose Hill. Also know as Losehill Pike or Ward's Piece. It is the south-east corner of the parish of Edale and the end of the Great Ridge. A piece of this land that Lose Hill stands on was presented to Mr G.H.B 'Bert' Ward in 1945 by the Ramblers' Association in appreciation of his outstanding contribution to rambling.
He then presented the deeds to the National Trust. Info credits to Stephen Thompson Geograph.org.uk) (Wikimedia Commons).

Miller's Dale - Monk's Dale Nature Reserve Loop
Переглядів 71Місяць тому
Monk's Dale Nature Reserve isn't far from Miller's Dale Car Park. There are Public Toilets at Miller's Dale, but none for the rest of the walk. Turn left out of the car park and walk up the road a little way, footpath on the right, this leads you into Monk's Dale. Due to recent weather conditions, there are a lot of trees down, making this quite a technical walk, slippy stones over flowing foll...

@@bumblejennybee88 Thanks Jenny. I wasn’t sure if I would make it down some of those steps 😀.
@justwalk-uk We did it a couple of years ago, and we went in the opposite direction. It was the climb up through the trees with the sheer drop into the river where I struggled - it was so slippery!! Still a great walk to do 😃
