Express delivery story: Tell someone that their best is not enough for me is a reason to, if working with packages, destroy it. I would lose my job but I'll regret nothing because the client was a real piece of crap.
I'm kind of torn there with things, I wouldn't care if they'd update their site about potential delays, but there were a lot of them where the delivery and everything still pointed to it being shipped by a certain day which is, often a reason for picking certain sellers.
I have heard so many horror story's about HOA's, we need more laws regulating their powers, possibly banning their collecting dues, and fines having to be voted on by the members on a case by case basis.
Funeral story: If I was OP, if he wasn't the one with the gun and showing respect. I would be, but actually demand to leave everything there, break the window of the car, take out the dress and make the vultures get away faster than light.

But unless you get it right, you could end up being foreclosed with your house possibly being sold very cheaply. The HOA covenant is 'stapled' to the house title and when you purchase your house you purchase the whole package.
@@netking66 I will never pay them anything since I get it right by avoiding these dictatorships in the first place like the plague they are on society. Their presence is indeed indicated in the paperwork for the property and that will always be a hard NO for me. I would rather purchase a package of rotting meat full of poisons and deadly viruses. In my city, they are mostly in the new developments out in the suburbs, overpriced, crowded places with too many snobby people where I don't care to live anyway. I don't care to move to any area that is predominately HOA, either.
As to the jerks coming to take ops mother's posesion op should have called the police. As to the ilegal parking op had proof and could have that person cited for ilegal parking and tresspassing. As to the last story what op and the others was so nice. It was good that two older people had good times together and it was good that the entitled jerks got shut down.

HOAs, just why?
An American problem.
I have read that in some areas of the US it is impossible to avoid them.
Like your health care system I totally do not understand.
There are so many things good about the US, but having worked for a major US company, and travelling to Boston a few times, just wow!
I got 30 days per year holiday, so did my colleagues from the uk, even on secondment to the US, by the way that was in addition to public holidays.
As long as you had been working for the company for one or two years, I can't remember exactly, but after 10 years of working for this company, believe me really hard, I became very ill and was looked after by the NHS medically, and would have been entitled to six months full pay followed by six months half pay.
Luckily I recovered but part of the stress was a very different US company took us over (Warren Buffet, probably the most evil person in the world, was instrumental in brokering this)
So I had a very significant medical problem, but remained on full pay which so lessened the anxiety. I did not incur medical bills, and there are UK rules about redundancy and I fell (just) outside the limit of reasonable travel distance so I could escape with redundancy terms and an enhanced pension entitlement. Ok, only a few years extra, but enough to subsidise my income so I could take a much less stressful job and manage, and no debts!
I was only a working jill, believe me, but I am so lucky it all turned out ok.
I think something has gone wrong with the US,.
I am 65 tomorrow, and live in a much warmer climate than the UK but when I am shopping I check every label and never buy anything with the Poop and Goop label.
As for the really decent US company I worked for, they were "the best a man can get".
Look carefully, I remembered when we had to go to a "Town Hall" the Poop & Bloop brand is predatory, and buys brands and discards the bottom 10 per cent.
They and Warren Buffet are like a cancer, swallowing up brands, digesting them, hurting people who actuality just worked so hard and spitting them out.
Please don't buy absolutely anything that has a poop and goop.label.
They normally hide behind decent brands that they buy and destroy them and the people they work for.
And Warren Buffett squats in his mansion and gets richer of the pain of at least hundreds of thousands, maybe millions.
