I just feel sorry for the perfectly nice and reasonable ladies who happened to be named Karen.
That's why I call them Qaren
Yeah! I have a couple of neighbours named Karen, and they are perfectly lovely people. I don’t know how or why someone chose the name Karen as the name for rude, obnoxious women.
That name will probably be dead in 30 years, as we have two generations that associate it with a sense of entitlement.
I always refer to them as Harpies. Ive met some women named Karen who are some of the friendliest and nicest people I've ever met
This Karen HOA try to power trip.
Story 1. KAREN! PRIVATE PROPERTY IS NOT HOA PROPERTY!
As to the fifth story op did a kind thing adopting that child. Her cousins were greedy jerks and op did the right thing by sticking up for her child. Sadly the cousins children are losing out. As to the last story op should cut contact with that piece of garbage.
1st story: I imagine karen knows a LOT about things being a half an inch....
"Properdy" is not a word.

Last: I can't even imagine the level of hate and loathing that mother feels for her daughter. Why is the mom's family OK with what she does. The mom at a min needs a shrink and probably more than that, a padded room!
AND WHY HASN'T OP moved away and changed her name and phone number?
On the last story. If you allow your mother, excuse me, egg donor to continue to berate you and mentally and verbally abuse you then you will always feel like a doormat in front of a pig barn. As for her being so negative about your weight, don't let her do it anymore. It seems that too many people think walking skeletons are the definition of beauty. That is unrealistic. I have seen a lot of beautiful women who were definitely not skinny. There was a girl who was in the same high school with me who was size 12 and drop dead gorgeous. I can still see her walking down a sidewalk and the sight of her nearly caused a very interesting involuntary reaction from my body. Some of the guys that I knew told me that she could cause a wet dream without having to go to sleep.
As to the first story the first time that nut came on ops property he should have filed a complaint for tresdpassing. The first time she parked in oos driveway op should have called the and foled another complaint and got her ticketed. As to the second story you can push a person to far and his bad behavior came back to haunt him. Im not ssying she was right but how much abuse can a person take. He was horible to her and their daughter.
Unfortunately forgive and forget makes people think you are an easy pushover. Now thinking you are just to weak to stand up for yourself, they can ramp up the abuse make everything worse for you. Don’t misunderstand, forgive and forget can’t be done with some people. First, You can forgive anyone that deserves it, especially if it is a one off. Two. If there’s no apology, there’s no forgiveness. If they don’t feel bad or sorry over their deeds, uh oh, to bad - you finally said you are sorry, just to clarify, what exactly are you sorry for? No matter how sincere, if the don’t understand what they said or did wrong, it’s 100% going to happen again and again. Plz refrain being around who treat you badly, those who really hurt you, normally words are worse than actions. If necessary, find a new social group of nonjudgmental friends and slowly allow them to be your new family, with permission of your new family. Cutting ties with some family members hurts a lot, a bad awful lot. But it goes a long way if those people can’t hurt any more. Keeping them in your life winds up being much worse. I followed some of my own words years ago. I kept some - HUGE mistake but I pressed delete on the most destructive and disruptive in my life. When I look back on things, I realize I was just to scared to let go all of them at one time. I finally decided to just cease contact. In all the years since then, I think they made contact 3 times. In the years before that, collectively they had not contacted me three times in over 25 years. Cutting them out was far better with my chosen family, wife, kids, in laws, nieces and nephews.
So, in my opinions above. I’ve expressed my thoughts and opinions based on events that took place. None of this reflects physical cruelty - all that came from other family members- and age 65, I still have the physical scars they gave me. Those who handed me scars as if they were birthday gifts were easy to erase from my life. The ones who said all fantastic things to me, but stabbed me in the back so many times I lost count, well, it took a while to accept they had to go. Cutting them out was one of the best decisions I ever made.
Don’t give other people the right to destroy you or destroy your world - the place your real chosen family resides.

Not a general remark but aimed at the Qaren of the story
Last story. It would probably be in your best interest to walk away for a while, just send her a text and say this. Mom, I love you cause you're my mom, but, sometimes you make me not like you. Why waste my time or energy explaining when you won't listen. So, I am walking away for a while, and you can reflect on your actions and realize I may or may not talk to you again I am going to remove myself from your toxicity and work on me to be healthy in every aspect you do you, and I will do me, I am going to block you or anyone else trying to get in touch or talk to me about this, or you using their phone. Take care.
