That last thing Ben Shapiro said is 100% accurate. You can't tell someone they have no chance of bettering their lives and expect them to better their lives. I have a black cousin by adoption who was kicked out of his house as a young teenager because his mother couldn't afford to take care of him anymore. He's been shot as an innocent bystander by a gang and left for dead. Luckily there was one concerned neighbor who called the police along with an ambulance. He's not running around crying about how he's been victimized his whole life. He spends his free time writing songs about finding strength. I go to the City College of New York. It has the 2nd highest percentage of students living in poverty in the country, but the highest graduation rate of students living in poverty in the country. This is because of the Colin Powell School for Civic And Global Leadership at the university in which there are many conservative professors who are racial minorities. These professors try to teach individual responsibility and self-advocation in class. Downtrodden people need to develop a strong sense of self to succeed. It's much easier, cheaper, and more successful than welfare
Exactly. If people who come from poverty-stricken backgrounds or backgrounds where their homelife was hell, the last thing you want to do is teach them that they are a victim, or it's because of their race and there's nothing they can do to better themselves. I work with all kinds of students, including minority students, busy getting their PhDs and MDs, and nobody is holding their hand and helping them through all their hard courses, they don't have a victim mentality, they are succeeding because they want this and they earn it through hard work. Nobody is holding them back because of their skin color. In a few years, they'll be scientists and doctors.
... he's talking to a kid. All he does is argue with ideologically underdeveloped children, and you people hold him up as some big thinker. That's embarrassing.

It's amazing how many people grow up believing these false laws and haven't even thought of questioning them.

Like they had something to say and he proved them wrong and they didn't know what else to do so they just continued on with their point. Very sad.
I've watched a few of them in the last couple of weeks and I agree. It really doesn't reflect well on Ferris State regarding the quality of students they are attracting or the way the college is educating them. I know it's Ben Shapiro they are up against, but the fact that from these videos the students weren't able to make arguments that were logically coherent, nor were able to adapt in regard to responses that dismantled their prepositions shows a lack of deep thought and adroitness that attending a university should really build in a student.
Ben Shapiro is a very smart guy, sometimes a little hot headed, but I always have respected his opinions even in the face of him blowing up as an alt-right political celebrity. Speaking as a left-wing liberal, I personally would love to see Ben actually enter our political system instead of staying a commentator. He could really put a new face on the GOP that's more approachable, with more fact/logic based arguments, and I think the conservatives really need someone like that right now.
Minimum wage in America remains at $7.25 / per hour. I am issuing a challenge to Ben Shapiro. Try living on a minimum wage income for 1 year -- and THEN re-consider and re-answer the truly excellent question about empathy that you essentially minimized and dodged. I know that Ben will not accept this challenge because he is consciously and willfully blind to what he does not want to see. And we live in a world that makes it perfectly acceptable to be consciously and willfully blind to brutally unfair inequalities. Prove me wrong Ben ?
It is a common tactic of those who sympathize w/ the "victims" to say to their opponents to put themselves in their shoes since they aren't a person of color. This tactic tries to do the following: Portray the "victims" as actual victims and make the (white) opponent feel guilty (but in an unfair and intellectually shallow way). Also to "know what it's like to be gay, black and to be discriminated" is ironic because there's a trend on The Left that says straight whites cannot possible know what it is to be a "non-white, non-binary, not straight" person. It's all about feelings and usually such feelings that minorities express when they talk about oppression these days are mostly projection. It's about the feel, not what actually happened or if their perspective is tainted by bias and therefore inaccurate about X situation.

I would buy less pasta is my dietory conclusion
And as an Asian, you have a good point. I do envision being a White Male sometimes and imagine eating hot dogs and burgers, but I grew up as Asian and you can't EVER understand what my perspective as an Asian is like. Just like Ben said, everyone has a different perspective, and you can't imagine being someone else but someone else can't imagine to be you

Kid, I hope you're watching this. Now, head to the library and look up "jejune."
People need to stop not giving their kids speech therapy for lisps.
He, a while male, really asked about whether or not Ben, also a white male, tries to put himself in someone else's shoes.
For me, as a white male, i enjoy pasta perhaps two or three times a week. As a white male, i dont eat so much Rice...not as much as an Asian male would anyway. If i pût myself in the shoes of an Asian male, i could envision my diet having a surplus of Rice. As a white male, i can see myself in the shoes of an Asian male. I would buy less pasta is my dietory conclusion
And as an Asian, you have a good point. I do envision being a White Male sometimes and imagine eating hot dogs and burgers, but I grew up as Asian and you can't EVER understand what my perspective as an Asian is like.
Just like Ben said, everyone has a different perspective, and you can't imagine being someone else but someone else can't imagine to be you
look, for all the mockery these snowflakes deserve, it is worth noting that they actual listened to him talk, and asked a question and listened to an answer. The question may have been dumb, but he was willing to engage. That is something too many others won't do.
HE'S
Such prowress
To ask this of a jew that had alot of family members murdered by actual Nazis is obscene
Wonder what Ben thinks of Moral nihilism 😁 cause I think it’s over thinking for people that have no beliefs and is trying their best to make since of facts and getting it mixed with opinion .
Ben has soooooo much more patience and sympathy than I do...If i were a giant brain amongst these grey matter challenged knuckle draggers, id likely tear them a new one and leave most snowflake faces melted or butt hurt. His verbal restraint is saving many liberal lives.
