OBS worked perfectly for me. The Xbox Game Bar would record underneath the fullscreen window. OBS lets you record the entire monitor, regardless of overlays, so I could record full screen. It spits out MKV files, but you can change that to MP4 in the basic settings. VERY useful, VERY free. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction, Justin. You just save me two hours of work and you did it in ten minutes.

So it seems that clicking on PRIVACY SETTINGS gets the Capture icon too reappear? Not having it open the capture icon is greyed out? Last 30 servings is constantly greyed out. I still can't record audio of screen? What settings do you have for audio to screen record?
Please when editing your videos use the "safe margin" because I am using my cell phone on a landscape mode and unable to see some of the titles you added on top or bottom of your video.
How do I capture already recorded footage and talk over it? For example; their are creators that review movies or games and they have footage from the trailers constantly playing while talking over it? Will screen recoding work there as well?

Hey! We use to use the GH4, we now use the GH5 but they are very similar! We have a video on our channel showing how to set up your camera as well as how to use it as a webcam so those should help you! 👍

your correct about everything about game bar but it doesn't have the ability to record sound for not just the person your talking to but also it wont record your voice so you can hear the full conversation

Hello, Great video. I need help with recording with Movavi. So let me explain. I have movavi installed and I used it to take a screen recording of a google chat I had. So the video of the screen recorded. The sound from the participants also recorded. The only thing missing was my own voice. So it was a video recording with sound from google call participants but not my voice. During the call, I had my headset connected to the computer via he laptop jack. Could this be the reason? Is it possible to record the google call with my headset connected to the laptop either via the jack or via bluetooth? Thanks for your support Regards.

Hi Justin, I have 2 questions plz regarding OBS 1) I wanted to share 3 windows (2 softwares + chrome) when I click + in sources to add ‘window capture’, one of them the screen is black and it doesn’t show what’s on the window, even though the software screen I want to share is open. So what’s the reason? 2) if I want to select ‘display capture’ instead, the 1st and the last few seconds of the recorded video shows the OBS screen when I press ‘start recording’ and ‘stop recording’. How can I avoid this? Without the need to trim the recorded video. Anything in the setting, I can control the start recording function, so when I press it, it counts down 3,2,1 then it starts recording so I can make the first moment of the recorded video is the window I want to share straightaway. Hope this makes sense :)
I noticed "your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements for Captures" on your screen. Mine says the same & I can't make any of the alterations to sound etc. You didn't make any mention of what to do about that big red message!! What does this mean? Yes, I'm a complete techno-hoper!

I downloaded DemoCreator. I wanted to try it first and then buy the perpetual copy for $59. However, I could not find any option to buy perpetual copy for one single payment. It only offers monthly plan or annual plan. Is it not available now?
If you recorded the video/audio/webcam tracks with Democreator to get the pointer effects, couldn't you import the tracks into Filmora Pro to do the final edit? Can FP load the project directly or would you have to export each track?

OBS is not working. I attempted to install it gives an error message cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found and crashes.

In Mac Quicktime, you can select a specific area of your screen to record. Can you do this with Game Bar?

make sure u have xbox gamebar enabled in your settings, other than that im pretty sure it only records games
