I guess i cant get my head around supermarket clothes in space design in Star Trek series. Which is why Stargate SG-1 made more sense to me. Normal clothes at base, but dressed for scouting when going out through the portal to explore.
Best Twilight Zone episode for me was Printer's Devil. Season 4 Episode 9. The Devil rescues a struggling newspaper company who is losing to more modern competition. He hires on as a reporter and a typeset, with his own evil typewriter. Any story the devil prints on his machine comes true, so he creates news by causing terrible things to happen.

Would've loved to see a Twin Peaks honorable mention, also I had the exact same sentation of crossing into another dimension while watching Eraserhead.
The Sopranos is up there with one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Amazing characters and the best story you could set up, a mafia guy walks into a psychiatrists office suffering panic attacks. A show can’t get better than that

That hit hard when SciFi canceled MST3K 😞. Breaking Bad is one of those shows that will forever be etched into my memory. Twilight Zone and Tales From the Crypt are some of my faves also.

Nice surprise seeing The Twilight Zone. I think it's the greatest TV show ever made and I'm glad you covered the different genres. It's crazy how it basically covers everything and does it all well.
Farscape is such a gem. The creature design and characters make every new episode a real treat. Especially the evolving dynamic between the protagonist and antagonist, it’s just so creative.
I love that show. I do recall though that they buy some creature to hunt down other creatures that are eating the ship or something and in one scene, not sure how it made it in, you see a guy or two pushing the creature along :D
I've never seen Breaking Bad but I instantly recognised the guy who plays the CEO of Vought Industries, in The Boys. I see there were many great actors in BB.
Giancarlo Esposito had a career resurgence thanks to Breaking Bad. He wasn't really a known actor before, but his performance in Breaking Bad was so great that he started getting tons of high-profile roles after.
One of my personal favorites is bojack horseman on Netflix. Never have I seen a cartoon make me laugh so much with all of its lovable characters but it was also a cartoon that deals with the issues of mental health, addiction, death, and trauma that makes it almost seem real. I’ve seen it 4 times and I am currently rewatching it again
If he loves The Twilight Zone, he should check out another anthology show, Inside No. 9, especially since he's such a big horror fan too, I think this could truly be another one of his (or anyone's) absolute faves.
It's said that you should never meet your idols and I generally agree, but after watching this I really feel like we could have a beer and talk Twilight Zone, TNG, and other random shows and movies like old friends. Thanks for sharing 😎
I remember watching The Twilight Zone on New Years Eve when I was in 5th grade. Just a few episodes came on that I watched that night and I wanted to see more. Easily one of my favorite shows because of how well it was written and all the ideas it had.
great twilight zone episode (up w to-serve man); used to always stay up & watch the New Years marathon's too! I think 'Gunsmoke' would have to be on my list tho
So I agree with all your picks and it's crazy how similar we are with our top five I would just throw in a few animated shows too like Regular Show, Batman Beyond, Samurai Jack and Futurama!!! Fun simple vid, and it was great!!!
If you decide to do more monster madness this year. I would like to see your monster madness reviews on the recent Godzilla films and series that has came out from 2014 legndary movie til Godzilla singular point
All phenomenal picks here. As much as I love The Nerd, it's always great to get a peek at the man behind the character. James is such a fantastic guy 👍🏻❤️
4. FAMILY MATTERS! YES! Top 10 for me would be these. No real order, but they do make the top 10. Honorable mentions: Family Guy, Mamas House, Martin, In Living Color, Dexter, MASH, Gilligan's Island, Drag Net, Car 54, Taxi, 70s Show, Wonder Years, Star Trek (all), old Loony Toons, Simpsons, Walking Dead 10. House 9. Alfred Hitchcock Presents 8. The Addams Family 7. Cheers 6. Night Court 5. Family Matters 4. Frasier 3. 3rd Rock from the Sun 2. Batman: TAS 1. The Twilight Zone
I think the scariest thing about The Twilight Zone is that it still manages to resonate today, even if the future they depicted looks nothing like the year it takes place in. It's easy to find nowadays if you have MeTV.
I would say it resonates even more today, especially the episodes concerning freedom and government overreach, like the one with Burgess Meredith where he locks a fascist government worker in with him and there's a bomb. He won't relent until the man criticizes the state, after which the state decides to do away with him.

X files was FREAKING EXCELLENT!
Better call Saul has scenes that have characters that we all know are in breaking bad but still has me genuinely biting my nails anxious about what happens next. Perfection
Giancarlo Esposito is the main reason I love Far Cry 6
The scene with Lalo and Howard in season 6 is one of those scenes where I almost yelled at the screen.

Came here to say something about Better Call Saul.
@Republic of Texas Its just a fact that it is better
though I never quite understood why it was never able to generate the same kind of hype
Always Sunny somehow never got stale. Despite running so long, it never seem to jump a shark. Truly remarkable. And Breaking Bad is a masterpiece.
IMO, Sunny fell apart last season, where they go to Ireland. The show just stopped being funny.
Bryan Cranston as Hal in Malcolm in the Middle is his best acting role in my opinion he's so funny
For real! Super underrated
I love that scene when he gives his speech to Malcom about teaching him how to skate. Great stuff.
Cranston doing roller disco is one of the funniest things Ive seen on TV. Look up that clip if you havent seen it.
Gifted actor.
By far. Hal is one of the greatest rolls of his career and acting. He has so much range and emotion.
I would love a video on Mystery Science Theater. It’s been mentioned, but unlike MonsterVision it hasn’t been discussed in depth.
I agree. I want that too!
MST is so excellent. I must have seen every episode and some many many times..
Me too! I'd love to have him talk about it. He has mentioned the show a number of times in passing but hasn't done a full video on it.
One of my favorite shows is Avatar: The Last Airbender

The Next Generation is something I got into during the height of Covid happening and its one of the few things to really help me forget about whats going on. I loved every single minute of watching it, I am even right now watching it in the background on my main tv. Its a amazing comfort show
The feeling of “hope for the future” that permeates TNG to the core is such a huge part of why I love it
Voyager is an excellent show that retains quite a bit of the TNG flavor while also pushing the adventure aspect.
if you love it you should watch deep space nine as well

You forgot 2.
@IP3278 Same here. I think the show took a nosedive when Matt Groening left to work on Futurama, which was around 1999 (or Season 10).
One of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes was when a WWI pilot traveled to modern times (1950s). Strongly recommend it!
The premiere of Adult Swim was a fundamental part of my teenage years, and definitely shaped my sense of humor. And of course Sunny did the same thing a few years later when it premiered.
Master Shake says NO!

3. The Honeymooners
4. Star Trek TOS
5. Merlin (BBC)
Can't wait. I always been curious on what shows you love in general
I’m just glad to hear James talk about stuff.
Farscape is great!
I'm so glad that not only you like The Twilight Zone the most, but also you mentioned A Game of Pool, that is my favorite episode of the series.
DUDE!!! Watch it!
Don't forget the game FAR CRY 6. Oh and he was in the mandalorian.
WATCH IT NOW NOW NOW. DO IT NOW
@@whitepenny64able Before that he also played The Dentist in Payday 2 and ends up being the main villian of that game.
Best Show hands down on all fronts is was and will forever be Firefly!
James being a Sunny fan warms my cold, dead heart.
Makes me want to watch some of the ones i haven't seen before. Thanks for the recommendations man
One of my personal favorites is bojack horseman on Netflix. Never have I seen a cartoon make me laugh so much with all of its lovable characters but it was also a cartoon that deals with the issues of mental health, addiction, death, and trauma that makes it almost seem real. I’ve seen it 4 times and I am currently rewatching it again
Small mind lol
Amazing show
I was about to mention this one.
BoJack is great. I also like F is For Family which is funny and dark.
My top 5 in no particular order: Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Futurama, Chaves.
If he loves The Twilight Zone, he should check out another anthology show, Inside No. 9, especially since he's such a big horror fan too, I think this could truly be another one of his (or anyone's) absolute faves.
We should also mention The Outer Limits and Dr. Who.
Don't forget Ultra Q
Remember Alf? He's back... in pog form!
It's said that you should never meet your idols and I generally agree, but after watching this I really feel like we could have a beer and talk Twilight Zone, TNG, and other random shows and movies like old friends. Thanks for sharing 😎
you don't have to watch Simpsons in order, you can jump. Watch Seasons 5-8, it is part of the golden age of television.
Love hearing James talking about TV! We want more!
It's like we lived the same childhood. Spot on.
TNG is definitely up there, one of the few shows to actually make me feel anything
10:54 “When I watched season 1”
(Uses clip from season 2)
That is season 1 episode 6
I binge watched Breaking Bad during the pandemic.
ABSOLUTELY A MASTERPIECE.
Same here
@jabroni destroyer Having to wait for every episode was excruciating, but it was so much fun. Never forget it
Same
So I agree with all your picks and it's crazy how similar we are with our top five I would just throw in a few animated shows too like Regular Show, Batman Beyond, Samurai Jack and Futurama!!! Fun simple vid, and it was great!!!
Wow, this is probably the closest of a crossover we're ever gonna get with AVGN and Erik Salvia.
How so? At the beginning atm
Oh Big Money!
GREAT LINEUP I love you James all these shows are in my top ten
Twilight Zone is probably at the top for me. Seinfeld is another that I absolutely am in love with
Cut me a break, says the guy who takes a dragon sprinkler very seriously.
Star Trek The Next Generation was definitely my #1 show. I was 9 and 10 years old back in 1994 watching it.
12:10… did he just say ‘“CUT” me a break.’? Must be a regional yada yada woohoohoo. LOVE YA JAMES!!!
Five great choices.
Speaking of the Twilight Zone, will we be getting Monster Madness this year?
If you decide to do more monster madness this year. I would like to see your monster madness reviews on the recent Godzilla films and series that has came out from 2014 legndary movie til Godzilla singular point
Loving these recent vids, James! Can’t wait for more
All phenomenal picks here. As much as I love The Nerd, it's always great to get a peek at the man behind the character. James is such a fantastic guy 👍🏻❤️

10. House
9. Alfred Hitchcock Presents
8. The Addams Family
7. Cheers
6. Night Court
5. Family Matters
4. Frasier
3. 3rd Rock from the Sun
2. Batman: TAS
@@palaceofwisdom9448 That episode brings a very dark meaning to "planned obsolescence."
