Call me crazy, but I'm excited for the weight gain. I love having a heavyweight, high-cushion, low-drop trainer. I'll even do 400s in a shoe like that. Once I flip back to my Skechers Razors, they feel like I have nothing on my feet in comparison.
Dude how would you tie the laces on these at the top? Is the last lace hole design for the old "runners loop"? Or are they more for normal lacing. I only ask because the current paradigms (4.0) i have tends to heel slip a little, which i dont have any problems with with any other altra shoe because the rest (most) of them have the top lace hole designed for "a runner loop", which is a little disappointing for me because the rest of the show is great, cushion and response etc. Hence why i am asking, because i wanted to know if the new model was better at locking down the foot? Thanks
The 5 has the same number of eyelets as the 4.5 I’m not sure about the 4. The placement is a little different though so it is easier to do a runners loop. What I did on my 4.5 was unlace the top hole and used it for a runners loop. Seemed to work slightly better.
Did anyone but me have problems with the stabilipods on the later side of the shoe putting too much pressure on that part of the foot and causing pain? I also had the same problem with the knit stretching and the laces pulling both sides of the shoe completely together.
when it comes to looks its quite personal, i like the 5s . great review! thanks

Hi
Thanks for the video
Do you think the torin plush 4.5 is more soft and cushion as compared to the paradigm 5 ?
Paradigm has a little more cushion but the Torin is softer

what is the color of paradigm 5- dark blue or black?
It’s called “dark blue” but it’s actually more dark green than blue
